Hmmmm...

I thought Texans were smarter than the polls indicate. Guess not.

Another very telling thing...

Perry is polling below 50%. That's deadly for any incumbent, even with multiple challengers.

And it's honestly scary as

And it's honestly scary as well, given his closest challenger is Kay Cheney Hutchison. Texas is a very important counterweight state with the federal government Democratic, and she'll likely cut backroom deals to go along with anything out of Washington as long as they don't cut her puppet master's bomb the world budget too much. Perry will at least bitch about the Obamaites, even if not much is likely to come of it. Medina would make me regain some faith in those supposedly independent minded Texans, and perhaps consider moving there, but doesn't look too likely right now.

If Debra can't make the cut...

I'm goin' with the Kinkster! Anyones better than Rickay B Hutcherry. As for the senate... Dewhurst is worth $200mil and is a self described "George Bush Republican" (no thanks). Bill White... dont get me started. The last 4 names i am not familiar with.

PROBLEM

The problem with that strategy is that if you don't vote for Debra in the primary, you will be helping her (our) enemies.

If Kinky makes it through the Demo primary, you still have a backup plan, but if he doesn't, then what will you do?

Certainly

Im voting for her in the primary. I'm betting from Kinky's lead so early on that he has a good chance of pulling it out. If Debra isnt nominated hopefully her voters will join the Kinky camp for the general election. I dont agree with all his ideas, but i believe he would be a true statesman, and would piss off the establishment to no end.

Bilderburgers

I always thought Build-a-burger would make a great name for a burger joint.

The herd cannot be led, even by the Bilderburgers, without its consent. When the people wake up and understand that they are regarded as domestic animals being managed for the purposes of others, they will refuse to go up the chute.

I don't think the Bilderburgers or anyone else has a cattle prod strong enough to overcome the anger when that happens.

Good News

There really is no choice between Hutchinson and Perry (Bilderberg and Bilderberg Lite). Hutchinson is one of the few Americans on the steering committee for the Bilderberg group. Perry openly told the press he had attended the meeting in Turkey.

Hopefully Medina can break through and get some attention before the primaries.

This is good news I think

considering that she has more than doubled her numbers since polling at 3% in mid-September. Also, I heard somewhere that she needs 6% to get in the debates.

depressing

I just want to secede, but not with Perry or Hutchison.

Huchison has two strikes against her in my book.

1. She voted for the TARP. In doing so she showed she was susceptible to being herded into a panicked decision.

2. She vowed to never support a male for office where a female was running
Such prejudice has no business in public life, from a man or a woman.

Debra is a great woman, and I will vote for her, but I hope she can overcome the herd mentality in the Republican Party that restricts the decision making of so many to establishment candidates only. It was a thrill to see her fight the current Party leadership in 2008 for the position of State Party Chairman.
Whether she wins of loses, this won't be the last we hear of Debra.

If Debra doesn't make the cut, then I guess Perry is the least of the remaining evils. However, he is allied with the current Party leadership, which is red-boned neocon through and through.

Hopefully what happened in New York's 23rd district

will be a sign of things to come in the Republican party and people will be emboldened to toss aside these 2 establishment RINO's and support a real conservative. I think a big momentum shift might be occuring across the country in that direction.

Keep in mind, most of the people in the polls are uniformed.

Even though they complain about media bias, they still believe the MSM. That's why it is so important to correct the lies at every opportunity.

Uniforms

I don't understand your prejudice against people in uniform.

not people

When the *Polls* are in uniform.

Uniforms

And what, pray tell, are uniformed polls?

I think...

Uniforms

As I said, why the prejudice against people in uniform?

Perry`s a putz , Kay---no way , Kinky is stinky , and Medina

is our only hope for Texas liberty.

" The force of a correction is equal and opposite to the deception that proceded it"
B. Bonner

How do we get her up there?

Instead of all teh dinners she does, she needs to campus hop. Maybe she does, I don't know.

Looks like Hutchison polls

Looks like Hutchison polls better against democrats than Perry does, which is sad. As bad as Perry might be, at least he mentioned secession once, which is a step up from Hutchison. Her main "strength" seems to be that Cheney favors her, which is really scary.

Turkey

Perry's trip to Turkey for the closed door secret Bilderberger meeting, and the subsequent Trans-Texas Corridor debicle soon after sealed him pretty much to me as... well... not For the people of Texas.

Any Old Republican

If your object is to just get any old republican elected to office, Huchison may be your "man". She is more like a Democrat than Perry, and may pull more votes from the more conservative side of the Dem Party.

On the other hand, if you believe in principled politics, you will work your tail off helping to raise the poll numbers of Debra Medina.

I absolutely agree with you

I absolutely agree with you on Medina. In some ways, I wish RP would be more vocal in his backing of her, but I realize he's weary of getting into other races where people he's representing in his own district may hold differing opinions than him. With Hutchison being endorsed by Cheney, and Perry by Palin, Medina needs all the help she can get. I simply can't fathom Texans not preferring her to the other two if she got enough exposure so that the majority would give her an equal hearing. Maybe Kinky Friedman could realize Texas will not elect a Democratic governor, and attempt some "damage control" by backing the least bellicose and offensive GOP candidate :)

I'm still waiting for the Medina campaign to get back to me...

about the ad I offered to donate. It could help.

How disappointing...

Guess the voters bought into the fairytale when Rick talked about seceding...damn pony show is all, just to get votes.

Yes, they believe Perry's a

Yes, they believe Perry's a patriot who's going to fight the oppressive thumb of TYrants.

For a laugh watch AJ's take on this:

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Seems so

That's what it seems like. Personally, all my friends/family/co-workers etc... don't like Perry, but they've all got their different reasons.

Most of the Republicans I know are for Kay, with some for Rick, and their reasons just make me want to cry.

Kinky and Medina are being "spoilers" for eachother in a way, many who would vote for one would vote for the other from some forums I've been on.

Nobody

Nobody who honestly runs for office is a "spoiler." They are candidates. They could just as soon ask Perry and Huchison to leave the race to make room for a REAL American.

The only thing a candidate not picked by the ruling powers spoils is their little game of meaningless, limited choice.
