Come on folks get over the fear mongering and do your research. Iron is attracted to magnets, it is is also very important and is absorbed by the human body naturally. I am not going to write a book report here just do your research. this video is bullshit.

How much iron is in raisin bran?

Not alot, mainly just aluminum and nickel.

When they're not busy picking our pockets, or telling us we have to give up liberties to have freedom, they're selling us garbage and calling it food. The manufactured food business is bigger than Big Oil; that kind of money buys inconceivably large amounts of propaganda, misinformation and corrupted science. Processed People is a wake-up call with factual, hard-hitting health commentary that is rarely heard. If you're searching for the un-processed truth about diet and health, look no further.

God only knows what's in those

green clovers, blue diamonds, and marshmellow rainbows.

Lucky Charms my arse.

Man, I hated to watch this. I admit I occasionally indulge in a kids cereal to "hug my inner child" so to speak.

That looked like " Total" brand Cereal, to me..

Thanks for sharing......I guess....8)

Silly rabbit...

those aren't just any metal flakes. They are silver and gold flakes!

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Of course there is metal it is added to fortify your food.

Iron is something people need in their diet and here are links so you can find it naturally without "fortification" but it doesn't hurt you either way...unless you decide to bite into some ore or an iron gate or fire poker.

So what are the beneficial

So what are the beneficial and negative effects of too much vs. too little iron? What is a proper amount?

I'm no scientist, but iron is Fe and Fe is attracted to magnets

So I would expect all iron to be attracted to magnets. Am I wrong?

Yep

Iron is attracted to a magnet when it's in the zero valence state. So I guess it might depend on the particular iron supplement.

Hey kids! Try this at home!

haha nice, love when

haha nice, love when ignorant posts get blasted.

Did this in grade school,

Did this in grade school, it's because it is iron fortified. Blood is magnetic, why can't cereal?

That was an uncontrolled

That was an uncontrolled experiment. He should have run some of the water through the blender without the flakes, and tested that with the magnet.

So, you think the metal

So, you think the metal pieces were previously in the blender, or broke off of the blender bit while blending the cereal? You should probably try the experiment on your own to verify.. it's a pretty cheap one.

I don't think one way or the

I don't think one way or the other. I am just saying the experiment is badly flawed. There could have been particles in the water or the blender.

I worked with robots for six years. The kind of robots I dealt with were for use in class I clean rooms where computer wafers are fabricated. I know it's not easy to make a motor spin something fast without generating particles. The trick is to isolate them with positive air flow and trap them with filters rather than trying to eliminate them entirely.

Another question that comes to mind is whether nutritional grade iron supplements are supposed to be magnetic. I mean, why not?

You don't need to do the experiment.

They advertise "Iron Fortified" don't they?

This is sickening... By the

This is a coincidence as i found an article today that

shows how puffed wheat like Cheerios, affected rats, compared with other foods.
