Whether you agree with the Judas statement or not
a lot of the folks criticizing this guy, should keep in mind that he has done 10 times the work many of us have, and some of us have put in some work for the RP campaign.
I didn't think the Judas reference was the best idea, and I am handling it differently, but I still have the utmost respect for RP4409 and his group of volunteers. This guy doesn't just sit around making videos, he gets out into the streets and makes an impact, and is very creative in spreading the message. I'd say he is allowed a mistake once and a while.

The guy that answered the phone is not Mr. Watt. He just came off sounding like a dick on that call. That is not the way to persuade people of anything, nor is it how I would like to be represented as a Ron Paul supporter. Thanks but no thanks.

This guy has no obligation to represent you. He represents himself, and in a way RP. Not you....
He is an individual, that has made his own choices to handle it how he saw fit. I am not defending his actions, and even said I am taking a different approach.
The DB on the phone is just that, a robot, and as someone said, talking to them is like trying to send a telepathic message to your Rep. so maybe no harm no foul. I am almost sure he has received more harsh phone calls than that.

Mel Watt's Legislative Aid for Financial Matters
Mel Watt indeed sold out our country right in front of your face. We all can vent as we wish. Mel Watt has committed treason.
I found out, when dealing with my Congressman Stephen LaTourette-Syndrome (R-OH), that leaving messages with the people that answer the phone is about as useful as trying to use mental telepathy to reach your Congress critter. I had the most impact in dealing with the Legislative Aid and consequently was able to relay the importance of HR 1207 and his sponsoring, which did happen.
I just wanted to reach out to the DP community to let them know the Legislative Assistant of this traitor Mel Watt (D-Bank of America as Lew Rockwell puts it). Her name is Hillary West and can be reached at 202-225-1510.
I called in today to thank Mel Watt for showing his outright allegiance to the banks and let her know that people are paying attention. In fact, enough attention is being paid that his re-election campaign for the 2010 election will be a difficult one.
Sure he voted against the Iraq War, but this gutting of the Federal Reserve audit has really chapped my ass. Please give him a call to let him know how happy we are he showed his true colors, if you feel so inclined.

I appreciate many vids 4409 has done, and this one expresses a valid point of view. But it doesn't honor Ron Paul's request that his supporters be civilly courteous.
A message can be strong and courteous at the same time. RP does this always. We can try to come up to his standard.

I seriously doubt that the speaker in this video is very religious. I can say that because being a Christian myself, I realize that to call Ron Paul "Jesus" is not just like blasphemy, it is blasphemy. Now I can see why a non-religious person might use such language to make a point (a poor choice of words, I agree) but not a devout person. A devout believer would be far more careful about such things.
So the long and short of it is this: I found this video to be next to worthless... but your comments that equate this guys behavior with honest religious convictions held by many in this movement are misguided. They are misguided not because everyone here who claims to be a Christian is well behaved or super intelligent or savvy or any other positive quality. They are simply misguided because no person with honest Christian convictions would blaspheme in this way... perhaps in other ways (you can bet on it) just not in this way. So the producer of this clip is not a religious nut, he's just a nut.

and I was embarassed for him talking like that. Did you notice how civil the guy at the other end was? The caller could have been much more credible had he left most of that junk out and just told the aide that we voters are holding Watt accountable. but i did like the registered voter part.

Yes. The whole "First name
Yes. The whole "First name registered, last name voter" part was great. As was his point about the "actual bill". Those were the only things worthy of respect. Having said that, I do think there are occasions when using rhetorical extremes and displaying a degree of moral disdain are effective. But his use of religious imagery was way over the top and counterproductive. And I'm as 'religious' as they come in this movement.

What we need is Jesse Ventura to get about six of his navy seal buddies and start taking this fools out one by one. That is the only way these worms will take notice. But I gotta admit, if I was the one answering the phone, the call would never have gotten to what ended up being the meat of the conversation because I wouldn't have played that long with the prank-sounding stuff at the beginning.

RP 4409 is the model for activism we should all try to follow. They have quite a guerrilla operation going there where he lives. He has my utmost respect, and is one of the bravest individuals I've seen since this whole thing began.
Have you seen the video where he walks up on the two Border PAtrol agents having lunch, and starts asking them if they are American citizens, and if they have ID, they BP guys get up and leave in the middle of their lunch. Priceless. I wish I could find it.

There's a difference between a traitor and an enemy. Mel Watt is the latter. He never pretended to be in favor of auditing the fed or returning to sound money, did he?
