The false premise held by Chemtrail believers.
They claim that a contrail dissipates quickly, but that a "chemtrail" persists for a long time. This conveniently allows them to point to any trail that's lasting a long time and call it a "chemtrail."
However, the premise is false. It's just made up, out of the blue.

Now what? Are they going to conveniently claim that the American Meteorological Society is part of the conspiracy and coverup? Or will the information just be ignored? Part of being a genuine conspiracy theorist IS ignoring information that conflicts with the theory.

Two big problems here:
1. This video, which neither looks nor sounds like a History Channel production, is not to be found at www.history.com, along with all the other videos they have created. Now why would that be?
2. The Wikipedia article says nothing about US Government "confessions" of anything.
I was really hoping that the on putting forth the argument would have actual evidence for that argument. That's how it should be.
I know most people never bother to verify claims. Instead, they accept or reject arguments based on whether they want to believe them or not. This practice, however, is intellectually dishonest and it is a hugely counterproductive habit as it repulses those who are honest.

I cant believe how ignorant some people are. Please take off your tinfoil hats and research the physical evidence about growing cirrus clowds.
Like car exhauts, jet plane exhausts change appearance depending on the air pressure, humidity and enviroment temperature.
When contrails change appearance, the plane is flying from one temperature, humidity, air pressure zone into another, or is changing altitude, which causes changes to temperature, humidity and air pressure as well.
Without these different zones we wouldnt have changing weather at all^^
Compare that to the exhauts of your car. In wintertime your car exhauts are white, and pretty consistant, while you dont see them at all in summerl.
Jet plane exhauts are frozen water cristals. These cristals, depending the temperature, air pressure and humidity tend to reproduce themselves, so that the cirrus clowds tend to grow sometimes, and sometimes not.
Its pure physics.
I dont want to negate that there are special planes with spraying devices for chemicals (like the ones that the Chinesse gov used recently to produce rain (though it actually caused snow, instead of rain:-D ) or chaff.
Or the hail planes for example (dont know the proper english term, it is called that way in Germany).
But such devices are definately not mounted on each and every general aviation plane!
Have a look on pictures 40 years ago. As today, you will see those contrails on almost every picture taken outdoors.
And keep in mind, that airplanes need to dump their fuel most times before landing.
And btw, remember the toilet flush on the rear end as well^^

Agree with this. Welcome to the forum :) We know that weather modification/aerial spraying exists, but the idea that it is happening every day over every city in America doesn't seem realistic.
Pay attention and you might discover it is the case..
Just had 8 days of solid spraying, every single day started out with clear blue sky.. at last we are having a bit of a reprieve, 3 days in a row .. clear. Getting reports though from the East coast who had the clear days and are now being hammered..

However, not only have we heard about "con-trails", we have known everything there is to know about "con-trails" for many many years.
Contrary to the popular belief of the smug arrogants, we actually do know what we're seeing, and we know it's not "con-trails"
A simple little bit of research on the subject of military spraying experiments shows that aerial spraying to purposely infect the public goes back to at least as early as the 1950s, that we know about.
Take a look at Title 50, Section 1520, and maybe you might learn something.
Then take a look at the various known(declassified) documents relating to the spraying of varous illnesses, either infectious, or supposedly inert, that have gone on for over half a century.
Oh yes, it's all out there to see.
But, only if a person takes the time to actually learn, instead of arrogantly assuming that he "knows more than others" about the subject.
Sometimes I just get a little ticked-off, when ignorant people try to come off as knowing more than people who could run circles around them in knowledge.

I dont think you guys are idiots at all, because I have seen much of the same evidence you have. I just dont think that the scope of the conspiracy that is required by the idea that every long lasting contrail is a chemtrail is just too much. Its like thinking that every federal employee in the Bush administration knew that the Iraq evidence was fabricated.
They don't all have to know.
Let me tell you a little story about a personal experience I had with that very subject.
I was getting sick when these "supposed con-trails" became heavy over our area about 10 years ago.
I did some research about it, and turned up alot of declassified info about military aerosol spraying experiments on millions of people since the 1950s, without their knowledge or consent, in which some people died, and many got sick from it.
Their gauge was to monitor hospital admissions to see how effective it was, and how the drifts were landing on the areas.
A law, USC Title 50, Section 1520 was created to help protect people from being sprayed without their being informed.
But, it turns out that only the gov't officials need to be informed, and they may or may not take the position to inform the people.
So, a group of people in my area went to our county commission meetings, and got speaking time, and distributed reams of information about the known spraying and the effects on people, and copies of the Title 50, Section 1520 laws.
And we demanded that they pass a resolution to inform the public if any of this sort of testing was going to be conducted on our area.
It didn't require a budget item. It didn't require any spending. It didn't require any bureaucracy.
All it required was to inform people, according to law, if they were made aware that any testing was going to occur over our area, for the protection of the population here.
Now these are county commissioners from our area. They are not the CIA, or anything.
They really had no idea even what we were talking about.
But we presented them with the evidence from declassified gov't files, the law on the books, and our demands to be informed as citizens of the county which elected them.
And, to a man, all 11 of them voted against it, and told us never to come back to one of those meetings about this subject again, or they would have us removed.
So, there's how it works.

There are some airline employees who've blown the whistle.
But, they are very scared, and they are considered "cranks", by everybody who doesn't want to think this is really happening.
See, this whole "kook" thing does work to control people via peer pressure.
And the airline employees claim they are under a gag order which results in imprisonment if they talk. So, they generally only speak anonymously.
That makes it all the easier for people to dismiss what they say. So, it gets no traction.
And the deniers here on this site, just like all the other places, call us all kooks, and it's an effective tool to keep public interest from catching on in a large way.
Nobody wants to be a "kook". Therefore, they don't want to say they believe anything considered "kooky".
If you doubt that, just look at what "Political Correctness" has done over the years. There are many Politically Incorrect things that you can't even say now, without the whole world calling you a nut or a racist or whatever. They shout you down. It holds back the truth, and that it what it is intended to do.
These people perpetrating this stuff are experts, BmoreBrawler. They are not rank amateurs. They have been controlling people's thoughts and behaviors for a long time now. Think about it.

There is no false premise involved. As a child, I used sit with the lady across the street and watch contrails. They always rapidly disappeared and were from planes at high altitude. There are days here in LA which start out with no clouds (that used to be the normal condition of our skies almost every day). Then, chem planes flying far too low for contrails lay down chemcial trails and the sky turns grey. A rainbow halo forms around the sun if you can even still see it.
Oh did I just imagine that? Is my sensorium in error? I don't think so.

How old are you?
At 63, I have been around for a number of years and I have always been a sky, cloud, storm, sunset watcher. My instincts are based on the blue skies I saw as a child while also observing the "jets" fly overhead.
I can assure you that the skies we are seeing today are NOT the same skies of the 50's and 60's. I may not know WHAT is causing the changes...but I know that something is askew.

Bumping it again would just divide us, not something I want to do. If I had known the first time I wouldn't have even created it initially. Anyway, the news is no promoting so-called "conspiracy theories" at all in the group. That's the decision and all parties finally agreed upon it. They have every right to do it on their own time or set up a campus org for it we agreed, but not do it in the name of Ron Paul and YAL.
Also to quickly address your other comments, I said in that thread I still wanted the guys in the group and I said "I love them to death." That should provide evidence that my point wasn't to be hating on them in that thread. And as far as public speaking, I am a OFFICER. I do it all the time, i did it in a big auditorium this week, i volunteered for this, i CAN speak confidently in public, it's no big deal. The guys I am talking about however are exceptional at it. They come off as extraordinarily charismatic and are naturals. So yes, they ARE better than me at it, no doubt, but I can hold my own with most people certainly.
As a side note it IS refreshing to see a DP post with the words "I question Alex Jones" in it. I can give props to that.
