Name One Mass Shooting Incident Where the Shooter Didn't Feel a Victim

Think back on all the shooting incidents in public, whether in high schools, colleges, military bases, government offices...

The shooters always feel attacked, bullied, helpless, impotent, disrespected, or without hope.

This is true whether the bullies are real or imagined. Whether the bullies are government bureaucrats, the military, or teenage idiots.

Guns are not called "equalizers" without reason.

The solution is to stop bullying people. That means close our military bases in other countries, and stop our embargoes. It means we should respect others, and listen to them.

Taking away guns won't solve the problem, because not only will it disarm anyone who really is smaller and weaker and needs protection from physical attacks, but the ones who go to extremes emotionally, will just use bombs or arson, instead.

Ft. Carson Soldiers snap and kill~ you really should read the two part article and watch the videos at the bottom of article. Take note of how these soldiers were treated by the army when they asked for help.

"I think we are living in a world of lies: lies that don't even know they are lies, because they are the children and grandchildren of lies." ~ Chris Floyd

It was quickly forgotten.

Media did not take this slant on the one in Hood, it could have easily been seen as combat illness as well. But they decided to take it in another direction.

I don't get it...

Since when do shrinks get assigned to combat duty? I may be missing something, but I don't recall shrinks having to be in assault missions? And if he was a muslim, wouldn't he WANT to go to Iraq to protect his fellow muslims? Nothing in this story, not a damn thing makes ANY sense.

This shooter didn't have a problem with bullies while he was

at the government tit swallowing about a half a mil in government paid education, room and board, medical coverage for life, travel and a built-up resume that was a ticket to ride the rest of his life for future jobs and retirement income.

He didn't have a problem with big government or the international killing machine that's been culling his tribe for a decade.

He didn't have a problem with any of it until they asked him to do what he contracted to do. And that was to ship out when told to.

And he probably would not have seen action in Iraq since he was a shrink. I don't know.

But I do know he was a pussy because he ended 13 innocent lives, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters of people who really, really loved those innocent, unarmed, true victims.

God save his sorry ass.

Amen,

My Dad had the same opinion.

That's Dale Carnegie 101

That even serial killers think they are acting justly.

I can't think of how someone could think that about a mass shooting unless they thought they were a victim. Maybe there's another thought going on in their head, but I don't like to follow those lines of thinking that lead me into a mass killer's head.

The shooter always feels he/she is a victim.

That is the nature of things.

This guy at Fort Hood, felt that the U.S. was wrong to be in the middle east, something I think we can all agree about, the wars are illegal and are for purposes other than what is publicly stated.

The wars have killed many hundreds of thousands of civilians, and have created more terrorists that were there before the wars began.

This is a lone wolf, who acted on what he felt was right, but he was wrong to do so.

He should have killed, the bankers and corporations which forced our puppet government to go to war.

The guy in Florida is just another example of someone losing a job and going Postal.

BUT NONE OF THIS SHOULD BE A REASON TO RESTRICT THE 2ND AMENDMENT.

Too much bureaucracy turns the average American into a mass

killer? Yeah except it seems we never know very much about the killer except that he was anti-government, anti-war, anti-whatever. We here at the Daily Paul can be fed up, without resort to such hideous measures. I see your point, but there's always missing info about these shooters. Definitely taking away guns won't solve the problem, because the real lawbreakers will have them illegally. And the law abiding won't have them, and won't be able to protect themselves. And you're right on the issue of us being overseas, all it's doing is throwing this country further into debt. Which then enslaves our next generations to China's influence, because they hold the majority of our debt. These last two administrations care about anything else, besides the American people.

Remember the "Armored Car" Guy in Colorado?

He armored a vehicle and proceded to bulldoze the homes or businesses of the City Council.

When government refuses to listen to your legitimate defense of your rights, violence can ensue.

When they come after all of us, we can throw the bums out. When they pick us off one by one, some people will die quietly, and others will try to take somebody with them. I guess normal people become slaves, eventually.

Fort Hood Suspect May Have Suffered From 'Compassion Fatigue,' Experts Say
Friday, November 06, 2009
By Karlie Pouliot

Health experts say they are hardly astonished that the suspect in the worst mass murder ever at a U.S. military base is an Army psychiatrist — the very person who is supposed to be helping soldiers deal with the traumatic stress of war.

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, suspected of gunning down 13 and wounding 30 at the Fort Hood Army Post in Texas, treated soldiers at the Darnall Army Medical Center there after being transferred in July from the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he had worked for six years.

Dr. Robin Kerner, an attending psychologist who specializes in disaster anxiety at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, said it’s not uncommon for individuals who work with traumatized patients to suffer the effects of "compassion fatigue."

"This guy was counseling people coming back from war and there is something called secondary traumatization, where the therapist gets traumatized from hearing all the terrible things that have happened to the people they counsel," Kerner told FoxNews.com.

The problem, she said, is that when this happens, many mental health professionals do not properly take care of themselves.

"There are a lot of things professionals who are working with trauma patients need to do in terms of self-care so as not to get traumatized themselves," she said. "Oftentimes, workers are so focused on helping others that they neglect to take care of themselves. The bottom line — we don’t take our own advice."

Imagine that he gets hazed by the recruits on top of that...

Imagine road rage with guns.

Can secondary

Can "secondary traumatization" happen by over-watching Movies/TV/Vidgames, or say sites like goregallery (or whatever it is now)?

Well...

As a legal department employee of a movie, tv and videogame producer, I must say, "no."

As a libertarian, I must say, "stop it," if it's a problem.

In fact, watching all those things is probably a good indicator and opportunity for your parents and/or loved ones to ask you more about how you feel and what you're thinking.

Censorship simply makes it harder for people who need to express themselves to express themselves, and harder for others to see when someone needs help. I, for one, am always grateful that the violence and gore game, movie, and music-makers have non-violent outlets for their feelings, as well as a way to earn a living.

IMissLiberty

=D

hehe I take that as a yes lol, it "Can" happen. For positively sure I would Never want to censor it. No way.

But, if it's Possible, I think more should be aware of it... exactly as you say your parents or loved ones should notice, but then again, do they know how to help?

Only reason I asked, is I wonder if I've subjected myself to this, and what should I guard against that I'm unaware of, and may have let creep into my life. Secondarily, I'm not going to "shelter" my kids either, and if there really is something to it, what tendencies should I nip in the bud that I may have otherwise have missed? I'll admit ignorance.

Anytime I hear of someone "snapping" I always check myself. I'm wierd.
