Iraq turned out to be a resounding success and we now have an ally in the region.
wow, eh?
here's the full quotation:
"Time has proven that the chix were very, very WRONG! Iraq turned out to be a resounding success and we now have an ally in the region." -- Carole Eastman
some dude on my facebook posted a dixie chick video and ~whew~ did the hate on for the chicks ever start.
that quotation above was one of them.
~just wanted to remind you of the mindset we're dealing with~

I spoke with an extended family member tonight who I don't speak to often. We got to talking about the economy, how gas prices affect his business, etc. Then he tells me about the Obama Deception and offers to burn me a copy.
I still haven't seen that movie myself, but it made my day when he mentioned it to me. Makes me glad that good info really is spreading.
that's cool.
"Makes me glad that good info really is spreading."
I'LL SAY!
of those that commented on fb ... i snooped ... to see who our mutual friends were ... there is hope.
it is just stressful observing the thought process. errrrr. good gawd.
A success?
Carole and I must be using different dictionaries.
LOL!
I'LL SAY!!!
i had to start drinking to respond to that comment.
oh my good gawd.... my head still hurts.
Maybe Carole was drinking, too.
Iraq our ally?
If there was ever any hope of winning their hearts, I have a feeling that is pretty well shattered now.
JC -- i can only wish.

Melanie Saxton says ... Hmmm . . . some would argue that things are better now in Iraq than under Hussein's rule - but I think that depends on the region. It was a cesspool before (except for the palaces and favored cities). Many areas still have a long way to go. In September Iran put in the water pipeline http://www.tarkhis.net/20...
and seem to be a major benefactor, which is problematic.
At least today the woman aren't collected, used, and disposed of by those rascals, Uday and Qusay Hussein. I'm referencing this link about the way things were: http://www.foreignaffairs...
The litany of human rights abuses makes me sick.
I know the Dixie Chicks don't care much for our foreign policy, but hopefully they appreciate that we don't cut off limbs to punish people.
And I'm not sure China would bomb us when we owe them something $800.5 billion at an interest rate of 23.35%.
Despite everything, I still like the song "Earl".
I suppose Iraq could see the U.S. as their BFF...
...if they overlook things like Abu Ghraib, the effects of depleted uranium, and the death toll estimated at close to 1 million.
Also, it would seem Melanie hasn't heard about CIA renditions/tortures. ~shudder~
Whew gal, it sounds like you've earned that drink dealing with those comments.

That part about the dvd is great. People are taking the red pill and waking up.
