African American anti-war coalition not buying into Obama's military intervention
The Black is Back coalition is marching in D.C. today against the wars and occupation. They're very progressive, and many of us here might not be into what they're doing in other areas, but I feel what they're doing is very important in getting other African Americans and communities involved and informed in the anti war movement.

What the?
Didn't they get the memo? They're a bunch of damn racists now...
/sarcasm
Why is it more important that black people protest against Obama's agenda than it is if white people do? Or red people? Or yellow peaople? Or blondes, brunettes, the green-eyed people of America.. etc....
I know you want to point out that they couldn't be whacked with the racist card if they do....
But thinking that it is different if black (or red, or yellow, or white) people protest against an ideal because the sponsor is a certain color still makes us play the racist game.
So we're applauding the same old crap.
i hope we're still
i hope we're still applauding the same things we usually applaud. this group made the point themselves that they are african americans against illegal occupations, and i applaud them. they are doing it, because most african american communities, of which have very anti war views, supported obama in the elections, and it is assumed that all african americans support obama simply because he is black. they want to break that assumption and help mobilize fellow african americans against the war. i applaud that. i don't think it has much to do with the fact that they just can't be "whacked with the race card". and my applause goes to them, because it means more liberty if their anti war views advance.
I guess they actually mean it when they say
they're against illegal occupations, as opposed to some other anti-war groups. I'd support them in this effort.
Good for them!
...I support any anti-war movement(s)...
Bump
.
I think we should give them a money bomb
In solidarity. Everyone becomes a libertarian when they wake up.
Thank you Mike
In solidarity !
I'd like to see a coalition of antiwar
groups. But as we've seen from so much of the Left that dropped out, many antiwar groups have other agendas which in the end become more dominate.
It would be good to know more. About what reparations they call for, about their sympathy for Venezuela, etc .
Great idea!
Can you imagine. We should head over there and let them know we are watching. Awesome.
Nice
Good for them. Awesome.
Abort bombs not babies.
. Stop the wars.
God bless them . . .
