no kidding. he shouldn't be discouraged from running now that the ron paul revolution is in high gear.

Also, I think Badnarik is doing something in Texas that is significant. I am not sure what but every so often I read something about it.

Badnarik's LP presidential campaign was in a different time. The Internet was not active and the liberty flame was barely an ember. When Ron Paul ran as the LP presidential candidate his campaign was small too. Timing is everything, as the Ron Paul surge has proven. (I think part of the reason Ron Paul is not keen on third parties is a result of his memory of his last time out as the LP nominee.)
If the LP presidential candidate will view his goal as bringing excitement, money and support to local LP candidates instead of winning the presidential race, I think the effect will be profound. (Ron Paul could possibly actually win as the LP nominee if all the stars aligned.)
Badnarik is a calm but unwavering spokesperson for liberty, and his knowledge of the constitution is vast. He is not confused when defending the constitution.

He may still be smarting from his prez campaign financially, I think I remember that he had a lot of debt from it. Things have changed since the RP campaign, perhaps he could be 'drafted'.
