Then again people think nowadays that Planes can obliterate steel framed buildings and Osama Bin Laden can magically run around in the Afghan Mountains with a Kidney Dialysis machine.

Toward the mutiny story. If things are so bad that a soldier actually shot himself in the shoulder just to get out it must be bad.

Wow. That sounds so believeable. Not.
How about this instead.
He was a guy who grew increasingly aware of the improper use of the US military in foreign lands. He became more and more uncomfortable with how the military, how HE, was to be used in support of killing the innocent the world over. He grew so upset, that he tried to get out of the military. But his pleas fell on deaf ears. He decided to start posting some stuff on the internet, hoping that his conduct would be seen as not becoming of an officer and that the ensuing disciplinary action would at least spare him from deployment and from hearing any more stories from the soldiers he debriefed. It didn't work, and over time he became more and more angry until he became committed to the idea that he actually had to carry through with some of the threats that he had made that he had believed were empty ones. In short...he simply snapped.
I think that's a whole lot more plausible. But your story makes a better movie though.
If that was true, and if he was THAT concerned there is no
way a person of THAT conscience would go around and shoot innocent people. That just doesn't make sense.
Manchurian candidate DOES make sense because it would cause someone to do something they would not do if they were in control of their own mind and conscience!
You know people you really got to stop being soooo damned naive about the types of psychopaths that are behind the scenes. This is very old techniques used by monarchies and bankers for a long time now. A person(s) who just goes out to a target place and unloads lead into people are most certainly being used for political reasons. If the ones behind the scenes did not 'force' the issue using their own mind controlled 'cells' they could never make the case for gun controls and 'war on terror'.

Your story sounds plausible.
Then again you believe that anarchy is actually a plausible reality that could actually function. So yeah.. Take from it what you will.
And no I don't want to make this an Anarchy thread NONE, keep that fairy tale anarchytopia crap to yourself. The Majority of us here want the Constitution to be followed by our politicians.

I was merely pointing out an alternative scenario in the case of the shooting at Ft. Hood, one that in my opinion is far more plausible than the one you put forth.
As for anarchy, I'll be happy to debate whatever points you'd like in a separate thread.
