OMG! O'Reilly just said

Start around 1:45: "I don't care about the Constitution." He was talking to Judge Napolitano about KSM being tried in NYC. Did anyone else catch that?

Am I reading Bill correctly?

"I think this is a terrible mistake. I'll tell you why. This is gonna turn into a circus and a show trial. Bush is gonna be on trial... the CIA... waterboarding and all of that."

His tone, inflection and demeandor would seem to indicate that such would be a BAD thing.

O'Reilly is

a pinhead!
LOL.

I loath Bill. Nonetheless I

I loath Bill. Nonetheless I would love to see more discourse such as this. The judge made sense of this subject and the only thing Bill could do to obscure the logic was to cut him off, change the subject or tactic, and talk over him. Luckily, he had to be somewhat more polite to his coworker than is his customary treatment of guests on his program.

It's all he knows

"...the only thing Bill could do to obscure the logic was to cut him off, change the subject or tactic, and talk over him."

When has he ever once acted differently? If he were not allowed to employ these tactics, he would be off the air in a couple of weeks because he would be incapable of making an argument by any other tactics.

There should be a law

There should be a law allowing those of us who believe in the rule of law to slap the crap out of people when they make comments like "I don't care about the Constitution."

Let's get him off the air!

And replace him with the judge!

Everyone call and email Fox News and tell them that the American people care about the Constitution!

Did it already

Had a little word to say about O'Reilly/Hannity too.

O'Reilly is a rude blowhard with limited understanding.

He comes from the big city where those sorts of things are considered to be virtues. If you can't be smart be loud. That's his motto
Unfortunately many are impressed by his ilk.
Ever notice how people who have something intelligent to say aren't loud and rude? People like Ron Paul are impressive.

The Judge rules..............

We got to get him to run for office...........

Here is a funny clip from when Napolitano was on Colbert and makes a freudian slip! lol!

Colbert was acting stupid, but OReally thought him wise

Colbert routinely acts in such a way to draw out of his interviewees the kind of response he hopes will allow them to speak freely and passionately as Judge Napolitano did here.

When he mistakenly called Colbert, Bill, instead of Stephen, at the end of his corrective rant, Colbert correctly took it as a compliment that his clown act was close enough to OReallys' that it caused the slip.

What was sad was that the Bullmeister was either too proud, or stupid, (or both), to acknowledge that the compliment Colbert took by it was for him successfully playing the fool that OReally actually is.

Indeed!

That was funny

obviously Steven had brought O'Reilly to the Judges mind!!

That was so funny!

That was so funny!

oh man

That clip was beautiful,hahaha
No wonder Bill has a chip on his shoulder.

lol - how pathetic

...trying to butt heads with the Judge. What a freakin moron. He looks so damn stupid. When you have someone in an argument and they retreat to "I don't care about the Constitution", you know you've won absolutely.

Bully Billy

Haha, couldn't bully Andrew. Haha, got owned, or pwned, whatever that means, I am sure it happened to Billy.

Bull OReally- Domestic enemy of the Constitution

While clearly failing to get Judge Napolitano to endorse the Pox Gnus agenda, and compromise his Constitutional principles, a frustrated OReally blows his thinly-veiled cover and confesses to the crime of his own bottom-line.

If the Constitution doesn't give you the power to do whatever you feel necessary, declare it to be personally irrelevant, cite popular opinion-makers who agree with you, justify governmental end-runs around it, and hope that the Judges' valiant application of the Supreme Law of the Land will look weak in the glazed eyes of your audience.

"I agree with Krauthammer, and not you, but I respect your...I respect your opinion" How disingenuous can the Bullmeister be?!!!

I don't care how the

question is posed. The judge does think you follow the constitution.
Oreilly is a pin head.

Tell Bill O'Rielly What You Think

250 FT Underground?

Sorry maybe it is common knowledge for all of you (since no one mentioned it), but what exactly did Judge mean that Moussaoui was 250 Ft below ground.

His Wikipedia page says he is at a prison in Colorado.

Probably an underground base

Probably an underground base in Colorado.

You ever wish

that someone ( be it the Judge or someone else) would climb over OReilly's desk and just start pummeling him, as soon as BO sticks his finger in their face?
Just a total Geraldo moment where chairs start flying, O'Reilly gets one across the bridge of the nose, etc..

God forbid that the judge bring up the supreme law of the land to Mr. Pinhead. It is all about emotionalism, and sensationalism, and the constitution be damned. It is only useful when it is for THEIR purposes.

Much of this is being taught in the military, and other circles, is that the Constitution is a "dated" document, and doesn't apply to modern day circumstances.

The judge is so cool in the face of idiocy though. I did have a brief fantasy of him diving over the desk and grabbing BillO by his designer lapels, and proceed to giving him a brisk slapping about the head and shoulders.

I wish O'Reilly...

...would go choke on a falafel and die. He's just oozes creepy old man.

Not out of context...these are his true colors

His statement is not out of context anymore than Obama's statement of "Islam is my faith" was taken out of context. Obama said it. The interviewer had to correct him, "I'm sure you mean Christianity is your faith, not Islam." And Obama said, "Oh yeah, that's what I meant."

I'm sure all of us have made the mistake of saying we are Muslims when we are in fact Christians.

Anyway, this statement would NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER be made by somebody who cared about the US Constitution.

Why? Because such a person would immediately hear his own words and correct himself, because of how blatantly bad and treasonous it sounds. You would NEVER want to have a tape of this made.

The Judge mentions BO's attack on the Constitution later when he says, "the document you (Bill) don't want me talk about," and Bill still doesn't take the time to correct the PR disaster he created for himself.

He doesn't correct his treasonous image because he DOES NOT CARE. He doesn't care about Liberty, about the US Constitution which vouchsafes our liberties, and could care less about Ron Paul, the Freedom movement, or the direction towards hell and despotism we are quickly going.

In fact, he's aiding and abetting. His true colors were indeed shown, yet again.

good point. It is a Freudian

good point. It is a Freudian slip at the very least.

The judge did well imo

Though I was hoping he said something to the effect of, "wow this is one heck of a spin you are doing for a no spin zone"

No way

was his remark taken out of context. The constitution is only valid to some when it fits their agenda; when it doesn't, it's not important and who cares. The judge was right on and O'Reilly couldn't stand up to it. He was flustered and his only defense was to attack the constitution which was standing in the way of his beliefs.

PSSSH

My interpretation:

It looked more like Bill was asking the Judge a question about HIS OPINION and the Judge was instead referencing the Constitution. Clearly, Bill just wanted HIS OPINION about 9/11 and the differences of interpretation about the attacks, not what the Constitution says about terrorist attacks. The Judge already explained that from that perspective.

I think its been blown way out of proportion and put out of context. If the Judge, Mr. Constitution himself, found the statement to be ridiculous, he would have rebuked it and continued on with his Constitution stance.

I think he did rebuke him

at 2:35 when the judge said" the document you don't want me to talk about".

O'Reilly said, "Bush and the CIA will be on trial."

We can't have that now can we? We can't have Cheney on trial can we? We can't have Rumsfeld on trial can we?

Who cares what O'Reilly said about the constitution. He's clueless and only interested in tabloid/gossip television like the work he did on Inside Edition. He just brought the soap opera mentality to Fox because Rupert Murdoch wanted sizzle not truth.

O'Reilly makes Glenn Beck look like Ron Paul.

Let's see if New York let's these prosecutors get away with the lies and ommissions that the 9/11 Commission and the Zacary trial did.

I hope we see riots if they try to do a replay.

Open that Pandora's Box. I can't wait for justice.

Why do people even agree to

Why do people even agree to go on this idiot's show? If you are going on his show you know he's gonna try to be the worst he can be. So unless you are going there ready to prove this clown is full of it, don't even try. It's a waste of time, and it shows respect for the wrong cause. O'Reilly is a sh*t disturber, that is only looking to drug you through the mud. I would only go on his show with the same intention, not to make some kind of friends.
With all due respect, I think Napolitano should have shut that moron's sh*t pipe shut.

this country was founded on

this country was founded on the the constitution, if he doesn't like it maybe he should live elsewhere where they don't have as many freedoms.

What a MORON!

What a MORON!

That would be awesome.

When an expert witness is

When an expert witness is asked for his opinion in court he gives his professional opinion, just like the judge.

Bill O'Reilly: "I don't care about the Constitution." Nuff said.

if you think it's out of context you bought into the whole "everything is an opinion" concept of those talk shows.

he is a legal analyst and is asked about his opinion on the application of a law.
"the law(constitution) says..." is the right answer to that question.

you can't just make up opinions about legal matters.

me: "my opinion is that murders are illegal according to the law"
o'reilly: "I don't care about the law, what is YOUR opinion".

I don't get how saying 'i

I don't get how saying 'i dont care about the constitution' could ever be taken out of context...

READ WHAT IT SAYS. 9/11 was the lynch pin for The 9/11 Commission Fraud, they said themselves it was BS, hell they wrote three books about it. We got extraordinary rendition, the military commissions act ( as in we'll house em, torture em refuse them counsel and let a military tribunal determine their fate. Great deal if your a real perpetrator living in the US, your off the hook cause we're looking for dust in the wind. We got the "Patriot Act" gun legislation, a HUGE FED THEFT, interesting how all this came about right after 9/11. If you believe for one second these bastards weren't sitting around talking about how 9/11 was going to end the Constitution, give healthcare exclusivelyt to big brother, give banks to big brother and in all probability the food you eat your nuts.

My take is that the quote is not that significant, but it is a telling piece of a larger whole in that interview that O'Reilly doesn't care about the rule of law.

out of text

jcarruthers I was gonna say this was taken out of text but it looks like two guys already beat me to it. what is the matter with the rest of you? It makes you, the DP, and the other followers look foolish....I don't like O'reilly, or whatever his name is, any more than the rest of you but this is quite clear that it was taken out of text. Attack his neo con views, but don't pull petty crap, save that for the dems and the rebubs...We Are above them...

Obama = O.ne B.ig A.ss M.istake A.merica

Not at all taken out of context

What he said, and his sentiments were very clear.

This is taken out of context.

I just saw it. O'Reilly was trying to get The Judge's, non-legal personal opinion on something. The Judge responded by talking about what the Constitution says, and O'Reilly said jocularly, approximately: "I don't care what the Constitution says. The Constitution is not HERE. I want to hear what YOU have to say about...

So, this post is blowing things out of proportion.

Nothing was taken out of context

If O'Reilly had his way, there would be a lynching tonight. He doesn't care about the Constitution, nor the rule of law.

If, as you claim, O'Reilly wanted to simply hear the Judges 'non-legal personal opinion', then what's to argue or debate?

O'Reilly is a dumb ass, but he does know that he has to keep the Constitution out of his viewers minds in order for his irrational, and illegal, argument to make sense.

After listening to you take up for Beck and O'Reilly, I think whoever hired you should rename their business to 'George Carlin-Equities', because it has to be a joke.

out of context?

The Constitution has no bearing on legal matters? Perhaps the Judge realizes his "non-legal" opinion is of no import. Hell, let's just throw the flipping laws out, all of them, and rule by opinion, were getting real close to that anyway, aren't we? We're a country ruled by the opinion of the TV set.
