Proposed 10 Point RNC litmus test for Republican candidates

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_pl996

(1) We support smaller government, smaller national debt, lower deficits and lower taxes by opposing bills like Obama's "stimulus" bill;

-Classic RINO tactic of relativism. We don't want SMALLER government, we DEMAND SMALL government. We need a radical reduction of government and taxes(cut spending THEN cut taxes).

(2) We support market-based health care reform and oppose Obama-style government run healthcare;

(3) We support market-based energy reforms by opposing cap and trade legislation;

-"Market-based" is a code word for mixed-economy socialism. It should be changed to "Free-market".

(4) We support workers' right to secret ballot by opposing card check;

- This is a good position.

(5) We support legal immigration and assimilation into American society by opposing amnesty for illegal immigrants;

-A good position.

(6) We support victory in Iraq and Afghanistan by supporting military-recommended troop surges;

-Can't afford it, victory is not defined, so just bogus.

(7) We support containment of Iran and North Korea, particularly effective action to eliminate their nuclear weapons threat;

-Can't afford to, time for us to stop being the UN's and Israel's errand boys.

(8) We support retention of the Defense of Marriage Act;

-Any addressing of the issue by the Federal Government is unconstitutional, unless they are removing the jurisdiction of Federal Courts on the issue. The best thing would be to get the government out of marriage altogether.

(9) We support protecting the lives of vulnerable persons by opposing health care rationing and denial of health care and government funding of abortion; and

- A good position. It is probably too much to ask for the GOP to actually DO something about abortion. They wouldn't want to give up all those single-issue drones that will vote for them as long as the issue is not actually dealt with.

(10) We support the right to keep and bear arms by opposing government restrictions on gun ownership;

-A good position.

Not a word on monetary policy.

Not a word on global government.

Not a word on the Constitution.

yep, same ol' same ol'

if nothing changes, nothing changes....

Well I have a litmus test of my own.

Because a 'Republic' is the Rule of Law, the Republican Party is a party of the Republic. Our law is the Constitution.

Therefore, any political proposals, laws, policies foreign or monetary outside the rule of law this party cannot by its very definition support.

Please add to this if you think of anything.
