Agreed. Sarah Palin is just a media generated distraction. McCain picked Sarah the same way he picks all of his trophy wives, based on their looks. The GOP nominates Palin at their peril as Independents see right though her. She loves the limelight now and wants her 15 seconds and the media is only to happy to give her all the air time she needs to hang conservatives with.

Ron has a cohesive philosophy for governing. Sarah Palin knows that philosophy begins with a 'p'.

She quit the governorship. No matter why, we won't elect a known quitter president.

Sarah has a lot of positive things going for her: she's got personality, indeed, she a gun owner and a defender of the 2nd Amendment, she's for states rights (presumably still so), she's a mother of five.

But she hasn't articulated a platform, an ideology, so we really don't know where she stands. What foundation is she standing on?

I think she's been raised up by the media and Powers That Be because she can distract conservatives from a true leader like Ron Paul. She's beautiful but there's nothing inside of substance, not that she's stupid or incapable. She just has not pledged her allegiance to a set of principles.

The ONLY way, IMHO, she was chosen by McCain, is if she "sold out" to the high bidders (the bankers who own the Fed and all central banks, and thus control world governments). There is absolutely no way she would have been asked to be VP unless they were sure they could control her.

Her association with McCain is the #1 knock against her, because a true friend to Liberty and our Constitution would never have gotten into bed with an evil politician like McCain.

My 2 cents.

Let's really hope she is not the new star of the Rep party. But as shallow as the Reps have sunk, wouldn't surprise me. May as well hand Obaoma another term. We know who needs to turn the tide and it ain't Giget.
