My biggest test is foreign policy. This cat is a neocon and an Israeli pawn. How do we keep getting fooled by these Obomba Lite's?

Dear Colonel West,

My name is [Daddy WarBucks] and I'm from Pittsburgh, PA.

I recently became aware of your campaign for U.S. Congress for District 22.
I also saw a video of your October speech at the Revolution Club. You inspired me.

I was motivated to find out more about your position on issues so I went to your website.
While I found most of your positions to be in line with a true patriot, I was disappointed to see the extent of your 'pro-war' language. Not to be confused with a strong national defense.

Since you were so deeply involved in combat at the officer level, I would assume that sometime during your 22 years of service, you may have recognized the hipocracy of the leader of the free world imposing itself on so many other countries. I also assume that a man of your intelligence and independent thinking would recognize that American wars are mostly about profit for the military industrial complex. It's a legitimate way to rob a country blind from the inside, in the name of freedom and patriotism.

But I'm not writing to bust your balls.

I'm writing to see if there is a possibilty that you might come to realize that left right politics is dying fast. And that while you may have to run as a Republican you might realize that the party is riddled with corruption, just as badly as the Democrat party.

Why would I matter to you?

As you may have noticed Congressional races are becoming a thing of nationwide interest. Americans are waking up and realize that in order to clean house in D.C. they have to organize nationally to root out corrupt representatives and work nationally across state lines to support new representatives who will obey the Constitution.

That's why I'm attempting to connect with you. 2010 is going to be an election year like 1776.

There is a growing number of true patriots who are going to throw off the shackles of big, unresponsive, criminal government.

I have included a thread about your candidacy on the Daily Paul where hundreds of patriotic initiatives have been birthed over the last 2 years.

I agree, great speaker but.... still a McCain lovin Neocon. I still think it's possible for him to see the light on foreign policy though.

Read his website. He's virulently anti-muslim.

I understand Daddy WarBucks' argument to give him some "time" to come around, but this isn't some kid who's just starting to pay attention to foreign affairs. This is a middle aged man who served 2+ decades as an officer in the military, and another few years as a private consultant in Afghanistan. I don't see him changing his views on middle east policy any time soon.

While some of his expressed views against nation building and occupation are promising, I cannot support this man because of his views expressed on the Middle East. He is a clear interventionist who wishes to take sides in that struggle. For me, that's a deal breaker.

where he talks about Iran. He siad we should have had "vision" and backed the Shaw and there would not have been an Islamic revolution...hmmm..... I am surprised a man that seems to understand history doesn't factor in how the Shaw was placed in power to begin with. Further more...how exactly were we to back the Shaw, commit ground troops in Iran?

No...not sold on this guy (even though I am a Army veteran and certainly have respect for his service.) This above speech sounds good, but I would worry about this man's ideas of foriegn policy. I also would worry about his seeming "Israel first" mentality. We need to break away from the neo-cons.

i think my aunt and uncle lives in fort lauderdale. When i go down to do re-do their roof in februrary im going to have to convice them to vote for this guy

Economy

Finally, our Congress must reassess our foreign aid spending; sending $900 Million of our taxpayer dollars to Hamas is not a wise expenditure. I find it reprehensible to say the least. The federal government must operate within the mandates of the US Constitution and stop its overreach into areas in which they are not legally authorized.

Economy

Our federal government created this crisis by first developing an entitlement mentality in our housing market, sub-prime mortgages. The Congress then exacerbated the issue with a lack of oversight that is criminal in nature. They now perpetuate the problem with inept foolish plans called “stimulus”, all the while continuing the wasteful system of earmarks, “pork barrel” spending.

To stimulate our economy we must realize that Keynesian tax and spend economic theory does not work. The public sector shall never grow the economy, that comes from the private sector. When I hear our new President speak of building an economy from the bottom up, well, you just have to cringe.
