Rand Paul Rally & WILL RON RUN in 2012?

To defunct Ron Paul 2008 groups as I come across them on yahoo, meetup and facebook. Feel free to pass it along in it's entirety or in pieces, make suggestions, or completely ignore it, as it isn't about something exciting, such as Magic Celtic Witches or Fairie Trolls!

Ron Paul 2012?!

Greetings fellow r3VOLutionaries!

I’m writing to you today because there are rumors of Ron Paul running for president again in 2012! Ron Paul just recently finished speaking tours in South Carolina and Iowa, and the people nearest to Ron Paul are confident he will run again in 2012.

We don’t want 2012 to have the same ending as 2008 did - there are things we can all do to help make sure things are different this next time - Plan on victory in 2012!

Here’s a list of things we can all do starting today to make that happen, do as many of them as you are comfortable with.

1. Get involved with one of the groups that grew out of the 2008 r3VOLution - Young Americans for Liberty - http://www.yaliberty.org/ - or the Campaign for Liberty - http://www.campaignforliberty.com/

2. Ron Paul need allies. If we elect candidates in 2010 who share Dr. Paul’s way of seeing things, it will give people who are on the fence confidence that a liberty candidate like Ron Paul is electable in 2012.

Find a candidate you want to help, and then work hard to get them elected in 2010!

5. Spread the word! 7. Make sure you are registered Republican if your state has closed primaries. Ron Paul has made it clear that he will be staying in the Republican Party - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wcDfmxAyrs

8. Help remake the Republican Party. Ron Paul‘s son Rand has stated "The Republican Party Is An Empty Vessel." Rand has suggested we fill it with the waters of liberty.

To do this you have to get involved with the actual party mechanisms. Start by going to your local County GOP Executive Committee meetings, Google your State Republican Party to find information about when and where your County Republican Executive Committee meets. Become a precinct committeeman/committeewoman, and drag your friends along to do the same. As a precinct committeewoman/man it is your responsibility to educate/keep informed the republican voters in your precinct, doesn't that sound like just a little bit of fun? (it is!)

Once you are a committeeman/woman, you have a right to vote on local party business and this includes electing officers. Next time county elections come up, run yourself and your friends for chairwoman/man, secretary, treasurer, etc. First we take the Counties, then the States. That is how we fill this vessel with liberty from the grassroots up!

If we all get involved now, we won’t have the delegate problems we had last time around.

In filling the party with liberty, I also suggest you join Ron Paul's Caucus - The Republican Liberty Caucus - http://www.rlc.org/ - The RLC has chartered chapters in 22 states, and networks of RLC members in all 50 - There is an ongoing effort to drag the Republican Party to a place the founding fathers would feel comfortable already ongoing in your county or state - network with them, they need your help!

Supporting Ron Paul in 2012 and the liberty candidates running in 2010 from within the Republican Party during the primaries is the strongest position you can support them from!

If we all do just a little bit of this list - When Ron Paul makes it official - WE vastly increase his chances of success!

It will be absolutely huge...many times bigger than last time because we all are essentially going to be going for broke for liberty...the chance that this great statesman could be president is just too great an opportunity to pass up....RUN RON RUN!!!!!

Rand Paul is certainly no libertarian like his dad. He doesn't even believe in a non-interventionist foreign policy! After watching the latest interview, I am sadly disappointed in Rand and don't believe he is much different than most of the neocons in the Senate.

Truely, that is the big difference, someone with knowledge/wisdom we can trust. Nobody would want the job of dismantling Washington, as it is... BUT, if we lay it in his lap, would he refuse?

Now is the time for Ron Paul to lay down the groundwork for a Presidential run in 2012. If he can begin now to start accumlating impressive fundraising figures, and begin now to setup local Statewide Campaign offices in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, etc., and lineup volunteers and boots on the ground, he could just become an unstoppable juggernaught. Why? Consider the following:

When Ron Paul ran in 2007-8, he was not anywhere remotely close to being household name. He was on nobody's radar screen. Very few people had ever even heard of him. The few that did, perceived him as perhaps the most isolated and uninfluential politician in the history of Washington. A total misfit. He hadn't a chance in the World.

But then...something happened. Despite his obscurity, Ron Paul miraculously burst upon the scene anyway during the Republican debates, by the sheer talent and originality and courage of his own performance. No one had ever seen such breathtaking honesty and common sense coming from a political debate stage before. People noticed. Independents noticed. Liberals noticed. College students noticed. From there, an Internet wave helped to propell him to a point where this obscure underdog eventually caught up to the so-called "top-tier" Nationally known candidates in fundraising....but by the time that this happened, the Iowa and New Hampshire races were already upon us, and the Media had had a free reign of 16-months to aggressively promote Mitt Romney, Rudy Guiliani, John McCain, and even Fred Thompson on a daily basis -- such that there was just too much ground to be made up. The Media and public expectations had already been (largely) set in stone. It was just too late.

But with advanced preparation (that's the key), 2011-2012 will be a different story.

Today, Ron Paul is now seen as a sage and authentic alternative voice by much of the Cable Media (still ignored, of course, by CBS, NBC, ABC). Unlike the past, today Ron Paul is on the TV on a regular basis, and seen as the "guy who was right" about many issues. Even his politically unknown son, Rand Paul is now in position today to compete and possibly win a National U.S. Senate seat (perhaps outranking his legendary father) mostly due to the "Paul brand".

So unlike 2007-8, Ron Paul will be a factor right from the very beginning. He can and will be competitive right away on a fundraising level. He will draw far greater crowds and enthusiasm right from the beginning (instead of during the middle of the race). As a consequence, the major Media this time around will have to talk about him. Like it or not, they will be forced to cover him. And they will even have to include his name in polling figures, as the crowd sizes and competitive fundraising make it unignorable that Ron Paul has finally arrived as a "major candidate".

Once again, there is no one to touch him during the debates. He will easily outshine whatever competition he faces (Mitt Romney?, Tim Pawlente?). Everytime that Ron Paul is on TV in these forums, he educates people a little bit more, and influences a little bit more. Whatever momentum that he has at the beginning will only grow. His movement has substantial upside, far, far more so than any other National candidate.

While the RNC and GOP Leadership will try hard to derail his candidacy, they may also just realize as well that Ron Paul will be the only actual chance that the GOP really has to go toe-to-toe against the charismatic Obama and win in the fall.

The point is, we must reject the conventional wisdom and recognize that it is NOT true that it is "unlikely Paul will win". The Ron Paul movement will be even bigger than before this time around. The crowds and the money will be in place right from the very beginning. The Media will be forced to recognize him. And, if Rand Paul also wins the Senate seat, that will even further enhance the credibility of his candidacy even more. The "Paul name" will gain further mass acceptability.

Finally, a War and Terror weary American public is not going to want to listen to the likes of Romney, Guilinani, Pawlente, etc, just babble on and on about even more War and Torture. That whole 2004 mentality is long gone. Obama is the new Bush. And trying to "out-Bush" Obama will not be the place where the majority of the American public is.

Thus, the time is right for a major Ron Paul swing. He was right about the War. He was right about the Federal Reserve. He was right about Gold. He was right about NAFTA. No longer are these issues considered "crazy" or "goofy". The ideas that Paul stands for have been also now gaining considerable traction separately on their own merit. The time is right. The opportunity is now.

Mark my words, if Ron Paul organizes early (that's the key), and puts in place Statewide Campaign offices early on, and camps out in Iowa and New Hamspire and South Carolina .... he may just be unstoppable -- whether the RNC likes it or or not.

I'm sure that they'll try to recruit Jeb Bush or Dick Cheney or Lindsey Graham or Sarah Palin at the 11th hour to steal it away from Paul. But if he gets the momentum early, he will be unstoppable. You just can't beat something ....with nothing.

And Ron Paul is something big.
It will only get bigger.

We need to carry this message directly to Ron Paul himself. He has one more mission to run. It's time for Liberty to finally win.

I can feel Carol Paul's pain--

no quotes around it--

they are young, energetic, and passionate about their beliefs

they will not just "take" what big government has to feed them, they ask questions, they ask why?

they actually use their brains to help educate their peers and "own" their government (we should all take a lesson from that!)

a lot of older folks could learn a lot from the youth today because they have a "cause" to work for and their cause it is their future!

it takes a long time to get old, people...fabricate the country in which you would like to live in early in life because nothing changes overnight and when you are old you will turn around and say, hey, I helped to create this...YOU CAN fashion America in your image

thats what the neocons do...through manipulation and greed they steal from us everyday and that is the problem with my (older) generation...we allowed it to happen through trust, apathy, whatever the reason, the politics of this country have degraded so far down that just one or two revolutionary election cycles are not enough to change but, as we ALL join together, young, old, and passionate tea partyers, we will "throw the money changers out of the temple"!

these young people "get" it...stay true to your ideals and remember, my neighbor is only as free as I am...respect freedom

as a side note...the guy in the suit in the video (not the candidate for state rep with his child) the other suit troubled me...i thought he should "embrace" the interviewer and his group more and realize they are his bread and butter, they are his ticket to washington, his body english, with his arms crossed and talking through the interviewer rather than to him was standoffish to me and i thought he could have been more "cojoining"
he should realize this very quickly, it ain't about him and, truthfully, it ain't about rand or ron (personally), its about the people's "representatives"

we hold rand and ron up in very high esteem because they think and act as we would hope we would in their situation...this guy needs to understand that now, uncross his arms, embrace his bread and butter, and be thankful these young people chose to interview him as if he had something meaningful to say because, actually, anybody could have said what he said

these students of the republic did him a favor, he should recognize that!

they, actually, did us all a very big favor and I thank them for that!

I spoke to Dr. Paul two weeks ago for about 5 minutes while attending the C4L Regional Conference in Atlanta. I spent about 4 1/2 of those minutes asking/telling him to run in 2012. I told how he had national support and a national organization in place and it would be much better received than in 2008....blah, blah, blah.....when I was done he looked at me with a twinkle in his eye and a big smile told me "You know we are having one of these in Iowa and New Hampshire"
