YOU? or your sock puppet "Stavro"
You're a joke dude. You've already been totally discredited, and even punked (politely) by the owner of this site. He even took it easy on you, as he has pity for you.
Your incessant whining, is the "stank" of our "movement".
1. Sock puppet? Wrong. Thanks for perpetuating lies and insults, though. It's very big of you.
2. Punked? Gee, that thread has since been deleted. Michael Nystrom has also taken the shocking and praiseworthy approach of retracting his position on the whole Ken Buck affair. Or did you fail to read the two front-page threads about his conversation with Ron Paul? I'm not rubbing Michael Nystrom's nose in anything because I think it takes a very big person to revisit their own approach the way he did. That shows commitment to the movement and to personal growth. For you to bring up what you're calling a "punking" is really, really pathetic and disingenuous given the circumstances; The dispute is moot, sir. What am I supposed to do, respond to a criticism that is no longer relevant? Attack someone's no-longer-applicable position when they've since come a long way and taken noble steps to bring this movement together after some soul-searching?
3. I'm the stank on the movement? I'd submit to you, "sir," that my positions and strategic approach are closer than anyone on here's to Ron Paul's.
I criticized a VERY public (publicity seeking is more like it) person who seeks to associate himself with this movement. I think Alex Jones is fair game. You, sir, chose to make this a petty forum battle between two commenters. Real mature. Let it go.

I like sports and other things as well, and they have their place in our lives but once these things (whatever it may be) becomes the main focus of our lives, then "they" with their agenda can proceed with their plans mostly unnoticed by the masses and by the time you realize what has happened it's too late. Enslavement by entertainment! Distract from what's really going on and convince people not to care because it's "not going to really affect me and my daily life" which in reality is the farthest thing from the truth!
I don't care for Alex Jones but I agree with him here. I love sports, fantasy sports, watching dumb tv shows, and getting drunk til I drop.
There's nothing wrong with liking the things above but I don't do anything else to better myself. Everyday, I say I'm going to start reading the such and such book. I want to start playing an instrument, learn another language, learn the constitution, learn our national anthem. I never do it. I work, come home, eat, watch tv, go to bed. On weekends I go out and get drunk. Most people are in the same boat. I am awake to the freedom message and I love Dr. Paul. So I got that going for me, where most of America doesn't.
All Alex is saying is stop watching SO MUCH tv and read book.
I found out who is in "The Game" only from this site. I think watching a bunch of grown men running around with a ball is pretty boring. What makes it less desirable though is knowing how many people out there are screaming at this game and their entire work week ahead is going to be affected by puffing their chests because "Their Team" won. Or walking around with a puss on their face and taking their anger out on their co-workers because "Their Team" lost. They probably never played football in their life and they certainly don't get a group of friends together and toss the pig skin on a nice weekend day because they're so fat from swilling six packs and eating GMO food. Americans need to get up off their asses and participate in something before they can have an emotion about it. I follow the activities that I participate in and am still progressing at 38 years old. My sports don't make the world revolve but freedom does. Tyranny doesn't take weekends off, bills pass at all hours of the day, what's it going to take to make people get it?
but he throws his speaking methods, his 'pulpit-pounding', at politics, instead of at personal sin.
It is odd. It is a strange experience, the first time someone who comes from an academic background 'watches' or listens to Alex Jones.
I can only take so much of Alex Jones, but he has some very valid points to make about what consumes Americans and what substitutes for 'reality' in the lives of many, if not most, Americans.
Unfortunately, he rants--
and that causes him to lose validity.
When I turned off television and read and talked to real people something happened in MY life--
I did that decades ago, and I can "see" *things* happening that those who are caught up in television cannot see.
If you don't understand, you don't understand. If you want to understand, try withdrawing from the addiction.
That said, there IS a place for healthy recreation. A group of old codgers or young people who get together to play baseball, etc.--
subtract the NFL, subtract all the $$$.
I, personally, have not been involved in it; I've never watched a superbowl in my life; if my spouse has watched a superbowl it hasn't been in decades; it hasn't been important enough to mention, and my spouse said today, "do you have any idea when the superbowl even IS?"--
to which I responded, "no"--and we laughed about our 'ignorance'.
Wholesome recreation, good music, meaningful art, well-done theatre and even movies . . . can rank up there with good literature.
But television is a scary dead-end zone and something that you can fall into and never get out of.
But, I do wonder if Alex offends so many people that his message doesn't get across--
Stupid people watch stupid shows. There are a LOT of stupid shows. I've never actually watched a whole Super Bowl- but Ive been amused by some of the ads. Personally I have no interest in the Super Bowl- but I tell you- Don't get guilted into not watching. 3/4ths of the DP will watch it. Good. You need an afternoon of life without the sky falling on your head. The stupid people will be watching too. The difference is that after its over, you will be going back to making a difference and they'll still be smacking their wives.
"The difference is that after its over, you will be going back to making a difference."
Of course, but it is those who are caught in The Matrix who will be tempted to just pop another "blue pill", and fall into an even deeper sleep; pretending that their teams winning or losing meant a damn thing against the foreground of MUCH more pressing matters.
the t.v. is a powerful mind controlling force of evil; unfortunately "watching is believing"(is enslaving). we'd all be better off shutting it off-every show, every channel.

More babling BS from fear monger AJ. I am right you are wrong! He says all this while sporting his Rolex!
Moral of the AJ rant : You can not socialize with friends and family or the world will come to an end. You can not spend any spare time having fun or the world will end. The Government designed all TV to control you this includes PBS and Dora the explorer.
The MSM is our enemy, although he reports 99% of his show quoting the MSM!
There is no hope for America just give up you lost!
It is time for kickoff. See you all after the superbowl. Go Colts!

Nothing wrong with owning a Rolex - if you use your own money to buy one, where's the harm? It's not like he's a politician sucking on the public teat!
Secondly, I think you missed the entire point of the video - I am not necessarily a huge fan of AJ but he does put a lot of stuff out there that not many others will talk about, and for that you must give him credit.
I can't stand when people have contempt for someone who is successful for what he or she did - that's very against what we are doing here, no? Isn't the American Dream supposed to be (when we had a free market, anyway) that anybody, from any background, can be whoever they want and accomplish whatever they want if they have the brains, guts, and balls to do it?
As far as I'm concerned AJ makes his money through mutual exchange from customers who are willing to pay, so ripping on him for wearing a rolex is childish and envious at best.

Bravo neverquit! In usual form, I see.
I hope your rant serves to get folks to review the video, just to see how well your caricature of AJs message actually avoids any substantive connection with anything he actually said.
This video was offered to compliment Mark Dices' perspective on just how small and pathetic the so-called Super Bowl is in the real scope of what's going on at this crucial point in our countrys' history.
It was posed to challenge those who would naturally be offended at the suggestion that they do ANYTHING other than watch the game, because to them it is the end all, be all, of their lives.
He closes the clip with the acknowledgment that most folks will go on and watch the Super Bowl anyway.
Alex just wanted to get them to weigh their priorities against the background of the battle of our lives that's going on all around us, and do what they know they ought, once the game is over, and the spell is broken.

think he's attacking people who simple want to watch the super bowl. I think he's making a great point, and I know he kinda flies off the handle from time to time. There is nothing wrong with watching the super bowl, or any other sporting event. He's attacking people who live their lives through watching these sort of events, i'm sure we all know people who would rather watch a pro game than spend an hour with their children, and that's the point AJ is making.
Watching sports is fun, it's a reason to have friends over and have a party, but if it is more important than your family, your community, and your country, then God help us.

I just happenned to touch on this with a contractor when I showed up to a job site last week.
He had just spent the previous day watching the NFL semi finals for over 6 hours and asked me who I hoped would win.
I told him that I did not care.
I am NOT a ball worshiping devotee.
I told him that you know more about Tom Brady's statistics, than you do about who is running for office.
He then slid the conversation to the Mass US Senate campaign and tried to assert his knowledge about Scott Brown. I was actually very impressed that he had watched the debate with David Gergen as the MC.
I know I made him uncomfortable and I am sure he will be glued to the set for the Stupid Bowl.
But maybe, just maybe, for the first time, while worshipping the pigskin mania, he will be thinking about what I said.

I think I'll watch the Super Bowl. Entertainment is a commodity, and for many, entertainment has a high personal value. The Super Bowl doesn't have anything to do with politics. Personally, I like watching and participating in sports because it provides an escape from bullshit politics and is essentially a celebration of the human physique and, by extension, the extent of what our bodies can do when provided proper nutrients and care. To label it a distraction and encourage a boycott is utter nonsense which I will have no part of. Just because the a majority of the population has no idea of what government is up to, and that the Super Bowl attracts huge audiences doesn't mean that watching the Super Bowl equates to being distracted from the grand picture in regards to the immoral actions of governments. Correlation doesn't equate to causation. Anyway, I thought I would add that to the discussion. Frankly, this guy Alex Jones strikes me as being a full-of-shit-politician type. He wastes words acting more as a fear-mongering propagandist than a champion of reason like Ron Paul. I prefer to avoid bullshit.
You All Miss The Point Here.. Your In Denial, Arent'..It Is Not About The Superbowl Stupid.. It's About Watching Meaningless Garbage On TV Including Events Such As The Superbowl..Its About Priorities..It's About Taking All The Problems That There Are With The Republic Seriously..How Can You Take The Republic Seriously If You're Addicted To Mindless Blabber You Call Music Or Football As Entertainment..They Are Distractions, The Same Ones Used In Ancient Rome.. How can you sit here and preach freedom while simultaneously decrying the fruits of freedom, voluntary exchange and production (including music, art, entertainment, etc.)?
Perhaps you should worry more about spreading the philosophy of limited government and non-aggression than about what individuals decide to value in their own time.
Well stated. I personally can't stand anyone who professes to have a 'red phone' straight to The Truth regarding all things. So many here decry "the elites", secret societies, political or financial cabals, etc... yet they fail to see they are turning themselves into the very thing they hate and fear. Looking beyond one's sphere of comfort can often provide more powerful illumination.
It starts at what 6pm ET and lasts how long? Its called entertainment. I have plenty of liberty minded active friends who are getting together for some social time. He should tell people to stop going to movies and having fun as well! That would give liberty a big boost!
AJ is F'in paranoid... cancel the super bowl, rofl.
Encouraging Others To Awakaen From Their Sleep Is Another..Don't Confuse What AJ Is Saying With What You Perceive That He Is Saying..
It Seems You Don't Like What AJ Is Saying..Maybe If He Was Syrupy Sweet To You All, Like Your Worthless Preachers, When They Take Your Hard Earned Money...They Don't Affend You Do They..Because To Affend You By Telling You The Truth That Your Just A Bunch Of Football Demented Studs, With No Brain In Your Head.. Instead You Should Be Of Honorable Men And Women Who Love Their Republic And Love Homeschooling Your Children Instead Of Sending Them Off To Those Concentration Camps They Call 'PUBLIC SCHOOLS' So You can Have Two Incomes And A Big House And A Nice Expensive Car..Sacrifice Your Ego For A Good Education For The Children You Profess To Love..
Quit Your Nit Picking And Your Judgements, Get Involved, Put Meaning In Your Life And Stop Blaming Decent Folk Like AJ For Attempting To Do Good..
What have You Done To Show For Your Miserable Lives, Besides Judging Others..
What would you say if someone pointed out that football is a multibillion dollar industry that was put together to reinforce a tribal (go team go) structure for the population?
That it was done that way on purpose to emasculate you mentally? To ensure that you are properly programmed to have the right kneejerk reaction when you are given other choices (Red vs Blue comes to mind.) Keep them divided, make sure they think what they do has a purpose. Like cheering in front of the television is going to make ~your~ team win. Like voting for your team is actually going to make a difference.
This concept was written about over a century ago as a means to control the population in America. Hell, it isn't even new... the Romans did the same thing as a means of controlling THIER population's mood.
This isn't a means to relax, as some of the duller posters have presented in this thread.

But, I do wonder if Alex offends so many people that his message doesn't get across--
poor guy--
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
Most things are healthy in moderation
Stupid people watch stupid shows. There are a LOT of stupid shows. I've never actually watched a whole Super Bowl- but Ive been amused by some of the ads. Personally I have no interest in the Super Bowl- but I tell you- Don't get guilted into not watching. 3/4ths of the DP will watch it. Good. You need an afternoon of life without the sky falling on your head. The stupid people will be watching too. The difference is that after its over, you will be going back to making a difference and they'll still be smacking their wives.
"3/4ths of the DP will watch it. Good."
I agree with you and Alex that this is good. We aren't the targeted audience!
See my post just below titled, "Pretty good misrepresentation", so I won't have to be redundant.

Laugh out loud
"I don't want a blow up doll for a wife" :D LOL :D
%%%%
the t.v. is a powerful mind controlling force of evil; unfortunately "watching is believing"(is enslaving). we'd all be better off shutting it off-every show, every channel.
More babling BS from fear
More babling BS from fear monger AJ. I am right you are wrong! He says all this while sporting his Rolex!
Moral of the AJ rant : You can not socialize with friends and family or the world will come to an end. You can not spend any spare time having fun or the world will end. The Government designed all TV to control you this includes PBS and Dora the explorer.
The MSM is our enemy, although he reports 99% of his show quoting the MSM!
There is no hope for America just give up you lost!
It is time for kickoff. See you all after the superbowl. Go Colts!
www.retakecongress.com
lol

Pretty good misrepresentation
P.S. neverquit
Is it true? "There is no hope for America just give up you(r Colts) lost!"?
I don't
think he's attacking people who simple want to watch the super bowl.
Watching sports is fun, it's a reason to have friends over and have a party, but if it is more important than your family, your community, and your country, then God help us.
thedude
I agree
EXACTLY.....AN ESCAPE..YOU SAID IT !!
Why Do You Need An Escape..Because You Get Judgmental And Angry.. You Get Resentful, Which Is A Judgement..Stay Calm And Act Now..Get Involved In Things That Are Good For The Republic And You Won't... CREATE A NEED... You have Becxome Conditioned To Watch Crap/ Or Sing Songs..Break Free From These Childish Things..To Use An Excuse To Watch Football Or Other Nonsense, Like American Idol...You Need An Escape From The Reality That You Can't Handle What Has Happened To The Republic..What A Miserable Life You Live..If You Don't Believe Me, Just Try Going Without American Idol Or Football And Cigarettes And Booze And See How Itchy And Antzy You Get..Yor Programmed Hypnotized Zombies, Ripe For The Fema Camps..
Your A Slave..All Those That Sin Are Slaves..Your Not Free People..!! You Are Only Free To Do What Is Bad For You..SEE ?
STOP THE ANGER AND THE JUDGEMENTS AND YOU WILL SEE CLEARLY WHAT TO DO !!
I'm Not Convinced
Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.
Well thought out and stated
AJ has a large ratio of self-promotion but RP has been on his show many times, and sometimes it take a gregarious guy like AJ to shake things up.
Entertainment is another form of liberty, I say live and let live.
I think it is more like a Commercial Bowl with a little football
to in.
You All Miss The Point...Your In Denial Aren't You ?
You All Miss The Point Here.. Your In Denial, Arent'..It Is Not About The Superbowl Stupid.. It's About Watching Meaningless Garbage On TV Including Events Such As The Superbowl..Its About Priorities..It's About Taking All The Problems That There Are With The Republic Seriously..How Can You Take The Republic Seriously If You're Addicted To Mindless Blabber You Call Music Or Football As Entertainment..They Are Distractions, The Same Ones Used In Ancient Rome.. Instead Of Writing Or Emailing Your Congressmen, Or Going To A City Council Meeting, Your Watching TV..Right ? Your Love Your Sing Songs, As If They Can Make Your Problems Go Away..It's All An Illusion..Your God Is What Your Into. It's What You Are Addicted To...
...And Rome With All It's Entertainment And Distractions Will Love You..FOOLS !! Who has Bewitched You ?
What Is Your God ?
You Don't Give A Damn About Your Republic..Do You ?
The Excuse Is Worse Than The Sin..The Sin Of Denial !!
God Help All Of You Stinking Americas...Your Americans In Name Only..You Deserve What You Get..
Good Day !! Enjoy Your Superbowl While They Let You Have One..
Bullshit
How can you sit here and preach freedom while simultaneously decrying the fruits of freedom, voluntary exchange and production (including music, art, entertainment, etc.)?
Perhaps you should worry more about spreading the philosophy of limited government and non-aggression than about what individuals decide to value in their own time.
Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.
Well stated. I personally
Alex has very good points....
I support him when he is sane. I don't like it when he grandstands...especially in front of fellow patriots...I.E. what he did in Houston...
By the way...GO SAINTS! hahaha...
Watch this instead of the Super Bowl:
Republic Versus Democracy - Ron Paul
http://dailypaul.com/node/124253
This is the real battle!
Ron Paul's Convention Speech
LOL AJ cracks me up sometimes
He got mad over people watching the super bowl.
Well said!
AJ has gone overboard. Everything is a conspiracy to the guy. Pretty soon he is going to start calling out conspiracies in his own movement. Lmao!
Allowing People To Live Their Life Is One Thing But....
GET UNDERSTANDING..!!
Would would AJ say if Obama came out with a video
trying to lecture and dictate to AJ what form of entertainment he should choose.
Liberty is a two way street, to choose yours you must allow others to do the same.
It's called live and let live!
Dunno...
It is a means of control, pure and simple.
I think football had an innocent and informal beginning
but has evolved into a cult that serves as a substitute for the hunting instinct of men.
Who's to say what entertainment another person chooses?
The problem I have is the public funding of the training of millions of athlete's in order to produce a few professionals that makes the sports industry billions.
If the sports industry would reimberse the public I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Liberty is a two-way street and choosing ones own form of entertainment is part of it!
Nah.
It is a method of control.
What you are saying, in essense, is that dosing you with the right drugs is good for you because it allows you to relax. It's entertainment!
And who cares that said drugs were made (and given) to you to make sure you don't stop and look around.
As long as it is packaged correctly, then it is ok?
I'll have to agree to disagree on this one with you.
:)
I've never read any evidence that football originated
from a grand scheme to control the population. Have you?
I basically think it's a big waste of time and money, I wish I had all the time back I wasted on it, although some of the physical fitness has served me well.
