Do Not Under Estimate Bill Johnson in KY election! Please read to understand exactly what I mean.

Forget about where he is polling. Forget about he hasn't raised any money. Forget no one knows who he is. HE IS NOT THERE TO WIN!
I have been involved in politics for a long time and what is being done in the KY senate race is called splitting the vote.
You will see if you watched the last debate and keep in mind this is really only clear to usually people that have been in and seen this type of action many times. Being in the know so to speak!
Here is how splitting the vote works :
When a candidate wants to minimize the votes for his opponent in a close race you need these 3 basic things.
1: A candidate that is speaking the same message to attract people that are receptive to that message and that may not vote for the opponent and would never vote for the incumbent, so they can pull votes away from your opponent thus shaving their numbers as stated below in # 2.
2: A candidate that is either a man or woman depending on who the opponent is. ie; if you are running against a man you would bring in another man to attract the people that won't vote for the candidate because of their record, being liked or being a man or a woman etc.... This in turn will pull votes away to take numbers away for your opponent thus giving you a better chance to garner the nomination for your party. This works vice versa in every case.
3: You will also notice that the 3rd person ie; the vote splitter never attacks or criticizes the person that is in on the vote splitting tactic. They will also soon start to attack the opponent on issues and statements made by the opponent that is running against the vote splitter.
These are the basics of vote splitting, so DO NOT take Johnson with the mind set he wont win because you are right he won't win and he isn't there to win either. The vote splitter has one job to split the vote nothing more.
You folks in KY need to stay focused and DO NOT let your guard down for this race is far from over.
I will happily answer questions on this matter, of course due to time allowing me to do so but I will answer them.
I also welcome reasonable discussion on this matter.

Title changed to reflect which state election Bill Johnson belongs to for those who have never heard of the man. Hope this is okay. - Mod.

WHO??

Despicable bunch of idiot's don't realize what their doing.
There is some $$less dumazz garbage out there written on his behalf dig around if you need a chuckle.
Ya keep an eye on 'em they can't be trusted.
The DP is proof that the grassroots support for Ron Paul and his peaceful message of individual liberty is large, real, and not going away!
i don't think so. i don't
i don't think so. i don't even think there are enough intelligent people who vote who know the difference between one set of rhetoric and the next. he'll take more votes away from grayson.

I had the following exchange with candidate B.J. I wasn't sure what to make of it so thought I'd share:

Both Trey and Rand are starting to sound like me . . . I have been saying those positions since last June before either of them. Did you notice in the debate they both agreed with ME 5 times . . .
Keep in mine Trey does not believe in term limits (Rand and I do). Trey does not appear to be for getting rid of the Dept of Education (Rand and I are on record).

Thanks for your response,
I might be less suspect if you weren't in lock step with Trey on 1. The Patriot Act (grossly unconstitutional) and 2. not having to declare war (unconstitutional); you're pretty much in lockstep with him on everything, including attacking Rand.

Re: race
Your right, I did not just up and all of a sudden. I have been in this race BEFORE either Dr. Paul or Mr. Grayson entered. I have been on the campaign trail since last June . . . . Working to build momentum.
I have mostly debated Paul on abortion. I disagree with his pro-choice for states position which he again stated during the debate. Here is a link to his fathers words (which Dr. Rand Paul agrees) http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2010/feb/10021609.html
No one asked me to run, no one is paying me to run, but I intend to win. I am sure we both agree that an independent leader is needed in Washington. The fact voters are coming my way is not due to my debate with Paul on abortion, it is because the voters believe I am the right choice. If my Dr. Paul would get behind my campaign, I am sure we can win over the elite establishment. I don’t think Mr. Paul can win against Grayson. And if he does, we will loose the general election in November.
Best Regards,
Sometimes Libertarians Function This Way
The LP (which is de-centralized, so this is a generalization), sometimes targets races where there is a freedom candidate in one of the dominant parties, and runs a campaign to split the vote of the "greater evil."
Because Libertarians believe in both halves of freedom, they can either emphasize personal liberty to undercut a really bad Democrat, or financial liberty to undercut the GOP candidate and help a good Dem.
This is how a third party has influence, even with a small percentage of the vote. We've even used just the threat of doing this to influence the votes of incumbents.
It may not happen as often as it should because the LP is the party for people who hate politics, but since ignoring politics doesn't work, and casting one vote at election time won't change anything by itself, this is one way to be effective toward freedom and liberty.
Incidentally, this is how we use the votes you "throw away" on Libertarians who "can't win." Any time you don't have a preference or dislike you other options, you should bank your vote with the LP to be used as a warning to incumbents and the dominant parties.

I prefer we call our enemy
I prefer we call our enemy candidates "They who must not be named" so that we don't give them any name recognition.
I am Ron Paul 2012!
I do not doubt it
This is the GOP after all.
Lee Atwater did this any number of times. For a look at the kind of real hardball they play, the kind of hardball that breaks skulls, Boogie Man is a must see:
we are aware of this
We are staying positive and staying on course.
Please do us a favor. Stop talking online about what's-his-name. Bringing him up only spreads the word that his campaign exists.
Help us by totally ignoring his candidacy. If you are reading the blogs, you know his supporters are kinda insane and rabid. Do not engage.
IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE
Kentucky is very heartening.
Kentucky is very heartening. Between Grayson taking the neo-con vote and Johnson taking the ignoramus reactionary vote, we still have enough support to win! There are probably states where there are at most 5% left over from those two groups for one of our candidates.

I hope you are right!
I hope you are right!
I agree.
If the gap between Rand and Grayson tightens up, a 5% showing by Johnson could tip it to Grayson. Are Grayson supporters fundraising for Johnson or otherwise helping him? Someone should find out.

That is what splitting the
That is what splitting the vote is all about! Glad to see people paying attention. It is refreshing.
i agree
...thats why Rand needs to keep hitting the big issues and also providing a couple of points as to how he is different than Johnson...like Rands hard stance on cutting government spending and on healthcare.
Johnson is soft most every issue...very generic form of Rand.
He should continue what he is
He should continue what he is doing and try not to attack Greyson.
He is a real threat considering they are playing the split the vote card!
Early evidence
of Rand doing preemptive advertising to nip attacks in the bud.
