A shame for our effortsl

After all the donations we gave this is what we get. This is now a private venture with a large staff and look at the irresponsibility they have shown. We will not have to rush over Washington and NY in a desperate effort of making the Boston Tea Party. We were promised the 10th, then the 11, and now the 12th or 13th. This is insane!

Well, it can get there in about 11 hours if it has to.

This is from airshipman.com - their website.

http://airshipman.com/our...

Although capable of speeds up to 65 mph, the ship normally cruises at about 35 mph, at an altitude of around 2,000 feet, carrying the Sponsor's name -- either painted directly on the ship or on inter-changeable banners over such events as the US Open Tennis, the Super Bowl, the L.A. Marathon or any other outdoor event.

The airship can remain airborne for extended periods of time and in September of 1990, a "Skyship 600" flew in excess of 50 hours without refueling.

The airmiles from the launching field to Boston were said to be about 700.

So at 65 mph, going full out, it should take about 11 hours.

I'm getting a bit rattled by all this. The blimpfolk have established an official thread on ronpaulforums about the blimp, and there the official departure date is the 12th.

http://www.ronpaulforums....

Fedex usually delivers overnight. So if they're talking about the banners coming in on the12th, then this tells me that they haven't been finished yet.

But theoretically, anyway, at least according to what their website says, the blimp could leave for Boston on the night of the 15th, and be in Boston the next morning. Hope it doesn't come to that.

Plus, the costs, which keep increasing, were for one month. So when we come up with 400K, if the blimp was 4 days late in getting out, this should get tacked on to the end.

Sound petty? Maybe. To me it sounds like the big delay was just the banners. If they only cost 15 thou, as was said, these guys should have been printing them and had them ready to go a long time ago.

Missing a DC and NY flyover is a definite loss, although I guess they can always come back to NY, and DC, because of restricted airspace, may have been all hype in any case.

See:

For info about the restricted airspace over Washington DC.

If you build it they will come!!!!

"If you build it they will come!!!!!”

As an entrepreneur myself, I completely understand, but you have just received my prediction.

God speed and God Bless!!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I thought it took three days to travel to Boston? So far I've been told the blimp launches on the 10th if we raise 200K, then the 11th, then the 12th and now the 13th or 14th.

Is it going to be in Boston on the 16th?????

Is it going to be in Boston on the 16th?????
Thanks for the video.

Boston

It plans to be, weather permitting. And so far, it looks like the weather will be good!

Weather & The Blimp

I live here in NC, in Greensboro which is a few hours from the blimp and the weather has been exceptional this week. In the 70's and perfect. I hope they get the stuff quick and get the blimp launched. I wonder how long the covers take to put on?

fantastic!

I cannot wait to see this on the news!

Don't let the media choose..think for yourself! Ron Paul 2008!!

Thanks man...

14th? Enough time to get to Boston for the 16th? Did they say?

-See you in NH 1/3 - 1/7...
