I tell you, if Hemp was legalized, that one crop alone, esp in the state of Kentucky, where I live, would create tens of thousands of jobs, and almost single-handedly bring this state from a recession into a booming economy.

But oh no, keep alcohol legal, and don't worry about all the deaths from DUI's, a wife-beaters, etc., but ban that evil herb, marijuana, which causes so much, er, actually, I can't think of one criminal activity associated with marijuana, other than possessing or selling it now, because of drug laws.

And I don't smoke it! Let's legalize Liberty!!

We are not allowed to make our own choices about our health or to make our own trade offs between health risks and pleasure and/or comfort. Instead we are to be kept healthy according to "the farmer's" wishes, so the animals in the herd will be kept as productive as possible for as long as is efficient, regardless of our own preferences.

Once we're old enough that we're bigger consumers of care than producers of resources (and/or our votes are no longer needed), we get "cost containment" in the form of death panels.
