OK I admit ignorance.
How can any of us watching this add to his ratings unless we are all part of the neilson family and have the little black box hooked up to every tv in the house?
I am on the Colorado/Wyoming/Utah border. If you get a compass out it's almost dead center of the USA. I want all of you to know I'm up here singing RP's praises and I'm a hundred miles from an inter-state. There are those up here who have followed Ron Paul for decades.
I'm also a grandmother and am so encouraged by the Grannies campaign. Them on the East, me where I am (banners, CB, etc.), I think we have northern California......not sure about sourthern Ca. but I believe Nevada is ours.
i love your vids on youtube btw... think its great what you're doing up there in the heartland. if you look on ronpaulgraphs.com, the donor map, ALL of those western states are green, save california. new hampshire is also green. think things are going great. and our momentum keeps going up and up and everyone else's keeps stalling or dropping!
I've seen the ad on CNN four times since yesterday afternoon. Did any of you see Beck yesterday with Wolf? He's ticked at Huck, BIG TIME. He also said he hasn't seen a president yet.
I won't be surprised to hear Beck endorse Ron Paul before Christmas.
Ron Paul is in my opinion, the greatest man in living history. So much for caveats.
His life history up through becoming an obstetrician and settling in Texas is inspiring. But he was just warming up.
Then he mastered Austrian Economics and Monetary theory... Something PHD candidates in economics seem to have trouble with... While he was a working Doctor delivering babies.
Then not content with all that, he ran for congress... And he has been a successful congressman for 10 terms. All through those years he worked largely against his party, and always against DC... Can you name one other politician, ONE... Who has been as successful? One who has had their own party machine against them, yet they still succeeded?
Dr. Ron Paul is free with praise for others, gives credit away for his successes, but do not, do not confuse Kindness with Weakness.
Yes, he "owes" much of his success to his grassroots following. But remember, he has been in this "junk yard dog" fight called the gop longer than most of us have been of voting age... Myself included. (48)
Beck is lucky to have him come on his show, and if Beck is wise, he will be polite and let Dr. Paul speak. If he has any concern for his career... If not, it is Beck who will be marginalized, not Dr. Paul.
I have every confidence in Dr Paul's campaign. Not because I am convinced his staffers are "the best handlers"... Because I am convinced Dr. Paul is in control of his campaign.
Those who think "others" are somehow not "handling" him correctly need to watch more videos of Dr. Paul in action. Look at how after the fact he made o'rielly look foolish... Look at how crass hanity looks as he tries to make neocon points through interupting... Do you really think the average american appreciates that kind of crass, rude behavior?
If you think so, play that clip for your favorite neocon friend and just ask them, do they really think that kind of rudeness is helpful?
I live and work in the "bible belt" in Michigan... BO and SH have lost a lot of credibility out here, even amongst huckster devotee's... Because they are rude, and are too busy trying to look clever and push their own agenda. This is a big change from only 6 months ago... Kinda gives one hope...
Before anyone gets too concerned about Dr Paul's campaign moves... Consider, just before Dec. 16th, Ron Paul has:
1) Been telling the media, "watch out, on Dec. 16th we could go to14 million" for the 3rd quarter... LOL and they eat it up! God knows, and we know, it will be more like 20 million! And they will be watching -- Now who is being "handled"?
2)Dr. Paul has been quoted saying the grassroots (us) have raised so much money, he is not sure how to spend it all... And then he laughs, and the media sits around and scratches their heads... Again, who is being "handled"? Brilliant comment... Sincerely. I have seen so many confused looks on the faces of the talking heads from that laugh line. To the point of editorials being written about it...
3)Today, for a measly 10 grand (in campain terms) he brings in 2 Arkansas republicans to Iowa to talk about the huckster's record... Why didn't he do this before? Because now is just before Dec. 16th, and with the press from the input of donations immediately after, there will be the assumption (for some) of causation... To be fair, there may be some causation as well.
Talk about getting incredible milage for our money...
And if needed, there are a lot more Ark. republicans who would go to Iowa... But talk radio will likely catch fire, either hucks tax record, imigration record, clemancy...
All of this what, 2.5 or 3 weeks from the caucuses?
Do not, my friends, underestimate the good Doctor. That is what his opponents continue to do and they simply will not get it, even after he is elected.
I believe in Dr. Ron Paul. Everything I see come out of his campaign, I can see his fingerprints on.
People wonder how will he get anyting done with an entrenched congress...
But they fail to realize, when Dr. Paul gets elected, WE his grassroots supporters, will not go away. He will appeal to us, we will appeal to everone we know... President Paul will appeal directly to the people, and the halls of congress will be deafening with our voices.
A prediction, with Dr. Paul's help... In 2010 we will take the Revolution to Congress, and those who are there now, will retire in droves... They can not hide any more...
One last thing... It shouldn't need to be said... This does not mean I think this will be easy... And I do think we should all "redouble" our efforts as best we can. Just as I have faith in Dr. Paul, I have faith in his grass roots as well. You don't need me telling you "once more into the breach"... You are already on the ramparts of Liberty!
I just saw on ad on CNN for the upcoming Tuesday interview with Ron Paul on Glenn Beck's show.
I guess that means for the next several days, there will be an occassional free advertisement for Ron Paul...maybe just name and face recognition, but that's not so bad.
Though I will definitely be watching on Tuesday, one of the first thoughts that came to mind was what about those sympathetic to Dr. Paul? Rollye James who is a rising star on Radio (has even guest hosted for Coast To Coast which reach millions and has an international audience) is a big fan of Ron and has invited him numerous times on her show. To have Dr. Paul go on Glen Beck's show who has pretty much insulted the good doctor and his supporters before interviewing with someone who is a fan like Rollye seems like a big slap in the face to me. Just my two cents.....
Glenn Beck is sympathetic. Atleast he wants to be. He invited the doc on, got snubbed for whatever reason and took offense that no immediate action was taken to get him rescheduled. So what does Glenn do? He goes on the offensive and does something that will guarantee that RP will get on the show, he calls the supporters terrorists in a roundabout way. He instigated us into prompting the campaign into action. His ego couldn't believe that RP's people wouldn't be saying sorry for the mishap we'll do it tomorrow kind of thing, and Beck just couldn't understand why. I don't think any of us could really. But think about it, Beck talked his trash which prompted so many of us to email him, a trait that he and everyone else in the media now knows follows this campaign, and that then prompted him to respond to US by calling the good doctor out for a one hour interview! How much time was RP scheduled for before the snub? From a tactics point of view, it seems Glenn wants RP on the show because he wants to ask HIS questions that he sees not asked to the good doctor, and he's more than likely gonna be tough, but fair, allowing the good doctor to do what he does best: Stand strong in the face of adversity.
I think Blen Geck is a little smarter, perhaps, than anyone of us care to notice. Although I could be wrong.
Atleast this will be televised unlike the ABC Stossel interview!!!
BTW, is anyone still up in arms about that snub from ABC???
If Glenn Beck didn't like RP at all he would never have invited him on to his show. And anyway I don't think Mr. Beck is so stupid as to trash him on his show because that could backfire and make Glenn look rally bad, not Dr. Paul
He's probably just curious to hear what the fuss is all about and maybe find out for himself and not what his bosses tell him.
Glenn Beck did a video while flying in a plane. He says that 30 second answers aren't enough for Ron Paul to explain his positions. That's why he's giving him a full hour.
Yeah!!! See, I'm tellin' ya, Glenn isn't such a bad guy, he's honest about this thing! It should be a good interview. Everyone pray for the good doctor, right now. It's been known to help others. . .
"No, we Erisians seldom pray, it is much too dangerous. Charles Fort has listed many factual incidences of ignorant people confronted with, say, a drought, and then praying fervently -- and then getting the entire village wiped out in a torrential flood."
Just as the US should engage discussion with Iran and nations of every kind, so should Ron Paul engage discussion with Beck and reporters/pundits of every kind. As usual, Ron Paul's message of freedom and common sense is bound to attract new people the cause.
This is great news. Here's why. Beck's target audience is mostly Neo Con's and some Libertarian Republicans (a lot of us are in this group but don't watch Beck very often). The most important thing is most of his audience is already registered Republican. The only work that needs to be done is to convince them. Dr. Paul can handle himself against anyone. If he can get his message out 30 seconds at a time in a debate, he sure as hell can get his message out on an hour long TV show.
Ron Paul can't lose any votes by going on his show. He can only GAIN votes.
Sorry people, but I just don't trust Beck. He takes orders from the people who told him to compare us to terrorists. This doesn't sit well with me. Nothing I could do about it, but watch and see. I guess it can't be any worse than when RP was on O'Reilly. John Stossel did an excellent interview, but they won't televise it. I just don't trust Beck.
Donation coverage, 18th Full hour prime time t.v. with Glen Beck asking Dr. Paul to explain his views. This will have unreal consequences, elevating this already huge movement, escalating it into an Awakening.
When he and Mrs. Paul move into the White House are they going to request that the Clintons bring back the missing China and the W's for the keyboards.
I think Glen Beck is more of a Ron Paul fan than he lets on. This is a wonderful opportunity. Ron will have plenty of relaxed time to speak from his heart with integrity as he always does. Congrats folks! This will take the campaign even higher! This next week is going to be HUGE!!!
it is on glenn beck's homepage, at the bottom in the lower right corner. there is an option to email him with questions you may want to ask the doctor!:)
Where is the link showing that Dr Paul will be on Glen Beck on Tuesday? Is it radio, his television show? Dr Paul does not have it listed on events on his home page. I watched the video and even though I was skeptical before, after watching Beck's video, he appeared very gracious and I emailed a question. It should be a very enlightening show and I know Dr Paul will do do a brilliant job.
What choice does he have? If you recall, there was a mass e-mail campaign aimed at his sponsors. This is timed to show to his sponsors that he has a bigger audience now than before the complaints came pouring in.
If you wait to watch the show later on YouTube, or elsewhere, there will be no ratings spike on his show.
So what if it's a ratings ploy? Is that a bad thing? If news outlets realize that having Ron Paul on is a boom to ratings, wouldn't more of them consider having him on? Wouldn't that give him more exposure?
I think it is great that Ron Paul is on the Glenn Beck show. If we want to be voted from the mainstream populace, we have to go on some of the mainstream shows. I know - I like to call the MSM evil because they usually are, but RP will always win with his ideas. Even that crappy CNN debate gained supporters because RP always wins on his ideas. Even if the Glenn Beck interview trashes Ron Paul, Ron will still get his message out to the people watching. It's time for RP to kick some ass and take names (or shall I say voters).
Can anyone say whether or not the interview will be on TV or the radio? thanks
and for the people who are against Dr. Paul doing the interview I really do not understand why would would be. Beck has a huge rebuplican following and Dr. Paul needs those rebuplican votes. This is a great thing. This is great news.
Let's be grateful that our man was invited to meet up with Mr. Beck.
To pick apart and second guess motives shows no class.
Forgive me if I've ruffled feathers here, but let's encourage both men to engage in worthwhile dialogue that our Country desperately needs.
Mr. Beck,
Thank you for your willingness to invite Ron Paul on your show.
We trust that both of you will find plenty of common ground.
Iron sharpens Iron...the time you both spend together should prove to be fruitful for both of you.
Unlike others, I do think this could hurt Ron. But I don't think that's horribly likely.
However, we are NOT in the lead here folks! We are not in a position to play defense! Ron has to take risks if we are going to win. And this is a risk that might pay off.
I've listened to Beck for a while, and I've always thought he was fairer than some of the others. And if he wanted to boost his ratings, coming out with a surprise endorsement of Paul would certainly do that! But, I'm not holding my breath on that one..
Well, in the words of George Nostradopolous, "that's not going to happen." But I'm glad Beck's viewers/listeners will get this exposure to Ron Paul. I didn't think he should go on Beck's show since Beck is such an ass, but now that it's a done deal, I hope for the best and hope Ron is given a fair chance to speak and respond. Like you say, we're behind and need to take chances.
This is the time for all Ron Paul supporters to get on the air and ask questions of Doctor Paul that will keep the conversation on an informative and educational basis. Don't attack Glenn because he's invited our hero on his show. It'll just eat up time from Ron Paul. My suggestion is to play the "Devil's Advocate" and challenge Dr. Paul on the Gold Standard and the Fed; challege him on "how are we going to run our country without the Income Tax? And won't abolishing it make it hard to rebuild American's infrastructure without the money the government collects from personal income taxes?"
Don't bring up topic that require a huge amount of time to explain like the 9-11 Conpiracy inside job theory. Keep the questions on a high level. Ask him to explain why he isn't the "Soft on National Defense" candidate that the other Republican candidates try to make him out to be.
In Albuquerque the Glenn Beck Radio Show is not live therefore I'm not able to call in. You need to go here to find out the schedule: http://www.glennbeck.com/...
His call in number is: 1-888-727-BECK (2325)
I pretty much agree with you. No softball questions, no love-fest. Ron can truthfully answer all questions, and the truth will set us free! You don't need to tip your hand that you are a Ron supporter, either. Just ask him the kind of tough questions a Giuliani, McCain, Romney & even Democratic candidate would ask. Take away all of the reasons that remain that would prevent a person from voting for Ron.
Well, there was an article in the Houston Chronicle about this. Basically, Ron Paul goes ahead and adds all the pork-barrel projects from his district to the budget. Then he votes against it. But the budget passes anyways, so his constituents get all their pet projects.
EDIT: This was supposed to be posted as a reply to "For a good discussion-" but I guess the internet got confused.
I keep hearing this is a ratings ploy?
OK I admit ignorance.
How can any of us watching this add to his ratings unless we are all part of the neilson family and have the little black box hooked up to every tv in the house?
Sorry had to ask but this has me puzzled.
so why wait for the YouTube vids?

Interesting
That he actually calls himself (Beck) "libertarian in many ways". We'll see.
Go Ron!
Just as the US should engage discussion with Iran and nations of every kind, so should Ron Paul engage discussion with Beck and reporters/pundits of every kind. As usual, Ron Paul's message of freedom and common sense is bound to attract new people the cause.
confused
i'm hearing that he's only going to be on the radio broadcast... if so, anyone in houston know what station that will be on??
TV
its on headline news
This is great news!
This is great news. Here's why. Beck's target audience is mostly Neo Con's and some Libertarian Republicans (a lot of us are in this group but don't watch Beck very often). they just showed a commercial for ron paul's appearance on Beck!
AWESOME! Nice images of Ron Paul and...
I heard "Why should Ron Paul be President?..................."
and said something like tune in to the Glenn Beck show Tuesday at 7pm to find out!
And I also got my XMAS e-card from Giuliani today

I/m with you.
I won't thank him.
Has he apologized yet?
ITS THE TV SHOW .. WIll be shown a few times on Tuesday.

I already emailed two questions to ask. AND I thanked Glenn and asked him to be nice =)

Wait for the show on YouTube... this is a ratings ploy

I think what they'll find
I think what they'll find working is taunting the Ron Paul audience by haranguing him and us which results in more internet ad sales gained.

Easily one of the best comments I've read in awhile.
Hear, hear.
ditto your sentiment.
A risk well worth taking
Unlike others, I do think this could hurt Ron. But I don't think that's horribly likely.
However, we are NOT in the lead here folks! We are not in a position to play defense! Ron has to take risks if we are going to win. And this is a risk that might pay off.
I've listened to Beck for a while, and I've always thought he was fairer than some of the others. And if he wanted to boost his ratings, coming out with a surprise endorsement of Paul would certainly do that! But, I'm not holding my breath on that one..
"a surprise endorsement of Paul"
Well, in the words of George Nostradopolous, "that's not going to happen." But I'm glad Beck's viewers/listeners will get this exposure to Ron Paul. I didn't think he should go on Beck's show since Beck is such an ass, but now that it's a done deal, I hope for the best and hope Ron is given a fair chance to speak and respond. Like you say, we're behind and need to take chances.
You say "you can't watch"?
You need to go here to find out the schedule:
http://www.glennbeck.com/...
His call in number is: 1-888-727-BECK (2325)
I pretty much agree with
I pretty much agree with you.
We can do this easy. It's a cake walk!
fasten your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen.....
sounds like good watchin'
Why?
It's because Paul has never appeared on any of his shows. Beck wants the ratings, and was feeling "dissed" by it.
It's that simple.
Great. and we'll capitalize
Great. and we'll capitalize on the exposure!
Well, there was an article
Well, there was an article in the Houston Chronicle about this. Basically, Ron Paul goes ahead and adds all the pork-barrel projects from his district to the budget. Then he votes against it. But the budget passes anyways, so his constituents get all their pet projects.
EDIT: This was supposed to be posted as a reply to "For a good discussion-" but I guess the internet got confused.
