Ron Paul Letter Writing Campaign! Our efforts have started to get the attention of the media -- read this Washington Post article from December 11:

We still have 208,776 voters to go and only a few days to do it in!
You can request 10, 20, 50 or 1000 names, it is up to you but any you can contact helps!!!!

yesterday, and I am still working on them. My girlfriend is editing. Once we get the form letter ready, we will take on more. Want it to be Personal and Powerful.
I recommend....
a brief, hand-written note. It seems to me the point is not to win them over by force of argument with an automated letter (they are going to get TONS of those by other candidates). What is really impressive is that a VOLUNTEER took the time to personally address them.
1. use their name
2. use your name & contact info, a brief biographical statement (where you live, what you do for a living, family, etc. )
3. state that you are a volunteer
4. a brief statement of why you support Ron Paul
5. point them in the direction of where they can find info (ronpaul2008.com, etc.)
the official site has a postcard file that you can download and print up on your computer. contact me if you need any help on this.

UPDATE ON WHAT'S LEFT TO DO
There are still 184,917 addresses un-claimed for Iowa!
If every one who is busy yapping, watching videos, drawing up grand strategies, and picking money-bomb dates would PUHLEEZE take the same amount of time and put a dozen letters in the mail, WE COULD WIN IOWA!!
The old folks who get their butts out in the snow to these caucuses ARE NOT ONLINE!!
I've got blisters on my fingers!
I've written over 200 letters to Iowans. I wrote up my personal view of why Dr Paul needs to be elected, then I typed it up and printed each page with the name of a different Iowan. I signed each one, then wrote by hand apologizing at the bottom that my handwriting STINKS (which it does). I then put in a Ron Paul pushcard and paper-clipped my picture in each one.
I think the method of mail is VERY effective.
If you haven't done this yet, what's your excuse?
If you can't handwrite, here's the perfect way to do it.

you might want to try the postcards....
available through the official site. just download & print up on your computer or take to your local printshop. www.gotprint.com is a good one. if you use the postcard from the official site, make sure you get the postoffice to HAND CANCEL the stamp, otherwise the cancellation ink will partially obscure the area for the written text. alternatively, just indent on the right about the width of a nickel from the vertical line. our meetup groups in socal have sent out nearly 10,000 of these. contact me if you have any questions:

I got my batch off in the mail a coupla days ago. It felt really good to hand-write to somebody and feel like I was lighting a candle instead of cursing the gathering darkness.

Hand Cramps killing me, any advice?
I can get two or three done and then I have to stop for awile. Hand starts freezing up and hanwriting gets atrocitous. Any exercises or linement salves anyone know of? I saw a link to doing postcards too. Anyone done that? It would be shorter and postage would be alot less. I would like to get Ron Paul Photos and slogans printed on them, it would be cool. Oh, well back to the grind.

We are doing this too! We bought a couple of boxes of the inexpensive cards for a $1 a box. It makes you feel kind of cheery knowing you are sending a card AND a great message!
