Minutemen don't endorse Huckabee "DIGG"
"What raised everybody's ire was when the media came out and said the Minutemen support Huckabee," Simcox said. "No, the Minutemen don't support Huckabee. Jim Gilchrist supports Huckabee. This endorsement threatens to destroy Gilchrist's credibility and the credibility of his organization forever."

The reason Jim Gilchrist supports Mike Huckabee
I'm from Orange County where Jim Gilchrist ran for office. His main platform was two issues, anti-abortion and border enforcement. He lost the race and was heavily in debt, sending out letters asking Minutemen supporters to help pay for his campaign debts. I received several of these letters. At the time of his campaign I remember that to me he seemed to focus more on abortion than anything else and that his religious convictions took priority so I'm not surprised that he is endorsing a Baptist Minister. Add to that the loss of credibility with the Minutemen financial scandal and I fail to see where his endorsement would help Ron Paul at all.
A lifes' work thrown away
Just wrote Gilchrist. Is so sad when these men betray everything they stood for. Robertson for Rudy....Gilchrist for Huckabee. A lifes' work thrown away.
Simcox pointed to Tancredo, Hunter and Ron Paul
"Chris Simcox, founder and president of the Minuteman Civil Defense League called Gilchrist's endorsement of Huckabee "unwise." "
Simcox pointed to Tancredo, Hunter and Ron Paul as "the candidates who have been true to the Minuteman movement for years."
"These three brought us to the dance and supported us all along," he said. "Those are the candidates our volunteers are out there working to elect, not Mike Huckabee."
So, are most of the
So, are most of the minutemen supporting Dr. Paul? If so that is the word we want out.
I'm not sure about the Minutemen
But I know many Miltiamen are pro-Ron Paul.
I know for a fact that the head of the Maine Militia is a big Ron Paul supporter and headed to the Caucuses to vote for Ron Paul, in fact he voted for Ron Paul back in '88 and has kept an eye on the Liberty Dollar company since it started.
