Genius Callers Into Mark Levin

How about instead of using spamming tactics, try to prepare a list of responses to the sorts of questions Mr. Levin will ask:
1. Where and when would you use the Army and Navy?
2. What countries should we pull out of? Germany, Korea? Why?
3. Would you put up a fence to defend the borders? Many libertarians want open barriers.
4. What about trade and travel with Cuba?
5. Why do most libertarians oppose any restrictions on abortions, while Ron Paul has a well-thought out position for incremental penalties the closer the fetus is to being viable?

Getting on a national radio show with a million listeners, run by a lawyer, and trying to make up an answer is just plain dumb. Do you know what you sound like? Your heart might be in the right place, but your head isn't engaged. If don't know the answer or haven't thought about it, say so and promise to do some research! Air time is so precious that we don't need idiots clogging airways and torquing off potential supporters.

Mark Levin does give airtime to opposing opinions. But he wants and deserves respect. When you're in someone else's house, wipe your feet at the door and flush after using their toilet.

If you're going to send emails to Levin about Ron Paul, make them letters of apology for the people in the Ron Paul movement who have no social skills.

Geesh.

Callers to Mark Levin

1.) When a country attacks the United States , its territories or its people.
Secondary reply: We didn't we use the Army and Navy to go after those that attempted to blow up the world trade center the first time, why would we go after INDIVIDUALS with our Army or Navy for essentially the same thing?

2) We should pull out of all countries and allow those countries to Arm and Protect themselves, such as Germany.
Secondary reply: WWII was over long ago, I do not think Germany is a threat to world peace, they can have an army, navy etc, and so can Japan.

3) First of all we are Republicans, and Ron Paul is a Republican, and has been a Republican elected by other Republicans from Texas for nearly 20 years. Second, Yes build the fence, the money has already been appropriated.

4) Fidel Castro will be dead shortly enough, let us see what happens in Cuba when that happens before we make any rash decisions.

5) Again we are not Libertarians, there are many Libertarians that will vote for Ron Paul, as there will be Constitution Party members, Democrats, Greens, and of course lots and lots of Republicans. Can't tell you about Libertarians, I am a Republican. I am Pro Life

6) Ask a question of Mark: Mark why would you support and give air time to candidates that are Pro Choice, Anti-Gun, Support Illegal Immigration and do not care about family values. Romney, Guiliani and Thompson all fall into that category, and because they support the war does not cancel the rest of those terrible characteristics.

The caller was not informed

Let's be fair at least.

Mark Levin let this guy air his opinions and questioned him about the issues. Crank calling and just saying "Ron Paul" but not having thought through the issues is not helping the cause. Levin stumped this guy on the withdrawal from Korea issue.

Saying Ron Paul can't win when not one primary vote has been cast says a lot about this country and our media.

Perhaps, Mark Levin can't be personally convinced that he is on the wrong side here but he can be countered on his show in a way that wins supporters and wakes his listeners from their trance.

Listeners who tune into WMAL are not really interested in being swayed, they want to be reassured that what they have said to their friends is still true and they will not think for themselves. They are still stuck in the "my team" vrs "their team" mindset where they support whatever calls the coach makes. They need a sea change, a call to a new independent way of thinking.

When I first heard this message is was a shock that I now agreed with the enemy, I bought into the neocon viewpoint. I was embarrassed to have believed the propaganda and my first instinct was to defend my old wrong position. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds" - When you believe differently tomorrow than you did today say it just as loud.

Should we leave the S.Koreans to fend for themselves?

YES! Who fends for us? We can't afford to defend the world and we don't even defend our home country!

If you call a show make sure you have challenged your opinions first and that you have an answer from your heart, not a talking point. You shouldn't just seek out like minded people, anyone on this site is already in the choir, it's an easy audience - make sure you can intelligently defend your beliefs or don't call at all.

Skunks All...

As My Dear Dad Always Said:

Don't get in a "pissin" contest with a "skunk" your going to loose...
especially if the skunk doesn't think his piss don't smell...

Lets face it we have bigger fish to fry... Lets not waste our time... But be more productive... Goal One : Ron Paul in your states Primary...

We appreciate all of you...

Levin is a Bush Buffoon*

Bill Stegmeier from the Ron Paul state of South Dakota emailed Levin the following:

Instead of allowing debate over Ron Paul's positions, Bush Buffoon* Levin rudely and childishly slams Ron Paul supporters. Calls them names even! (Whoops! Sorry about that "Bush Buffoon" jab) That'll teach them to disagree with "The Great Idiot's" neo-con bull. (Darn, there I go again) Kill the messenger Levin! Don't let 'em get a word in edgewise. You are such a donkey.

If the true patriots of this great country manage to scuttle your rigged voting machines by Nov. 2008, you and your buddies Hannity and Limbaugh are toast. The three of you will look great in tar and feathers.

Sorry, I got off point.

What I wanted to tell you is that you are doing a great job bringing awareness to the Ron Paul Revolution. Keep up the great work!

One suggestion though. What I find works best is to just tell people to "Google Ron Paul." It's that simple Mark! No need to rant and rave and make a total a-hole out of yourself. Just say "Google Ron Paul!"

Have a nice day Mark.

Bill Stegmeier

*Bush Buffoon-definition: One who believes Bush and whatever neo-con replaces him can do no wrong. To hell with the Constitution. One who believes that those of us who disagree with Bush and his fellow neo-cons are unpatriotic "enemy combatants" and need to be shipped off to Gitmo.

Levin is a whacko

Levin doesn't realize it but he's making himself look very ignorant, when he disses on his listeners who support Ron Paul.

Opposition to Paul is always ludicrous, not with intelligent debate or debate against what Paul believes, it's always about Paul's supporters being spammers. These neocons are so bankrupt of intelligence they say anything to try and get support or justify their bad liberal policies.
It's pretty hilarious how the Revolution is making these neocons scum squirm.

Levin most people would think you're the freak, and from looking at your pic, your definitely a geek.
Where's pocket pencil protector?

I have a feeling Levins days on radio are almost over, if he spends that much time bashing his listeners with nonsense for supporting the best candidate to run and who actually understands Constitutional Law in a least a century.
Keep up the good fight, Revolutionaries!

MORON!!!!

YEP THIS GUY HAS NO CLUE!!! WHEN YOU KNOW THE TRUTH ITS FUNNY TO WATCH THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE! HE IS A LIAR AND IS NOT HONEST.. BUY RICHARD MAYBURY'S BOOK THE 1000 YEAR WAR... LEVIN IF YOUR HONEST WITH YOURSELF YOUD CHANGE YOUR MIND IN A HEARTBEAT.. RON PAUL IN 08!!!!

calm down...

It would be helpful to have all the numbers of all the call-in talk shows posted here for easy reference. I'm going to get after this Levin guy until I get through. I want to ask him which CFR candidate he is supporting - CFR Giuliani, CFR McCain, CFR Romney, CFR Gingrich or CFR Fred Thompson.

How is that going to change the minds of those listeners?

I'm sure most of Levin's listeners don't know about the CFR - time to wake them up.

If they don't know what CFR is, what are you going to say on that show to make CFR even relevant to them?

Some of you militant "Paulestinians" should calm down a bit. Read this book and figure out how to make Ron Paul's message, not yours, relevant to those who don't know about him.

The only thing positive

The only thing positive thinking ever did was make a crappy day worse.

Seriously, taking the government back from the banksters is what the Ron Paul rEVOLution is all about.

Work it at the local level: a suggestion

Even though I agree that the virtiol spewed by Levin and others is free advertising, their koolaid drinkers are not going to look up Ron Paul and become instant supporters; instead, they're going to cover their ears, lest they hear something that doesn't agree with their lock-step philosophy.

So I recommend going local. We're grassroots, correct? I think we should ignore the national neo-con talk shows and focus our energy on local talk shows to spread the message from the bottom up. Besides, someone is going to call the national shows no matter what.

Local talk radio is where I first discovered Dr. Paul about ten years ago; the host is a big fan and he talks about Ron Paul or reads his writings on air nearly every day. (this is Tony Macrini, WNIS AM 790 in Norfolk, VA, streamed live on the web from 6-10am weekdays at wnis.com.)

Local is more intimate, call screeners don't screen as much and people who actually know you might hear your call and wonder why all these people are so passionately excited about Ron Paul.

And while we're at it, we should write letters to our local paper, one was published the other day in ours; and alert local teevee to meetup events and such.

You know what to do, please do it for the greatest of reason off all: our country's well being. Ron Paul Revolution for President Ron Paul!

I also did another YouTube video (the link below) on the Alex Jones radio show (8-17-07) discussing the experience of trying to complete ONE sentance on NEOCON talk radio. Alex and I were very enthusiastic in encouraging others to support Ron Paul!

Alan Colmes

.
Although Alan works for Fox, I would not consider him a neo-con at all. He has been quite favorable to Dr. Paul and has had him on his radio show for an extended interview. I've known Alan for 30 years and, while he may be abrupt to some callers - esp with issues such as the North American Union - he is far more reasonable than most of the others on the list.

As well, following the SC debate, Alan asked Dr. Paul some sharp questions but ultimately came to Dr. Paul's aid when Sean Hannity started putting words in Paul's mouth. Bottom line: Alan is OK.

....following the SC debate, when they ganged up on Dr. Paul

I've read his book: 'Red White and Liberal', and he's a 0 trans fat neocon...to be generous.

From Paul's 2003 House Speech:

Modern-day neocons have come from the far left, a group historically identified as former Trotskyists. Liberal Christopher Hitchins, has recently officially joined the neocons, and it has been reported that he has already been to the White House as an ad hoc consultant. Many neocons now in positions of influence in Washington can trace their status back to Professor Leo Strauss of the University of Chicago. One of Strauss’ books was Thoughts on Machiavelli. This book was not a condemnation of Machiavelli’s philosophy. Paul Wolfowitz actually got his PhD under Strauss. Others closely associated with these views are Richard Perle, Eliot Abrams, Robert Kagan and William Kristol. All are key players in designing our new strategy of preemptive war. Others include: Michael Ledeen of the American Enterprise Institute; former CIA Director James Woolsey; Bill Bennett of Book of Virtues fame; Frank Gaffney; Dick Cheney; and Donald Rumsfeld. There are just too many to mention who are philosophically or politically connected to the neocon philosophy in some varying degree.

The godfather of modern-day neo-conservatism is considered to be Irving Kristol, father of Bill Kristol, who set the stage in 1983 with his publication Reflections of a Neoconservative. In this book, Kristol also defends the traditional liberal position on welfare.

More important than the names of people affiliated with neo-conservatism are the views they adhere to. Here is a brief summary of the general understanding of what neocons believe:

1. They agree with Trotsky on permanent revolution, violent as well as intellectual.
2. They are for redrawing the map of the Middle East and are willing to use force to do so.
3. They believe in preemptive war to achieve desired ends.
4. They accept the notion that the ends justify the means—that hard-ball politics is a moral necessity.
5. They express no opposition to the welfare state.
6. They are not bashful about an American empire; instead they strongly endorse it.
7. They believe lying is necessary for the state to survive.
8. They believe a powerful federal government is a benefit.
9. They believe pertinent facts about how a society should be run should be held by the elite and
withheld from those who do not have the courage to deal with it.
10. They believe neutrality in foreign affairs is ill-advised.
11. They hold Leo Strauss in high esteem.
12. They believe imperialism, if progressive in nature, is appropriate.
13. Using American might to force American ideals on others is acceptable. Force should
not be limited to the defense of our country.
14. 9-11 resulted from the lack of foreign entanglements, not from too many.
15. They dislike and despise libertarians (therefore, the same applies to all strict constitutionalists.)
16. They endorse attacks on civil liberties, such as those found in the Patriot Act, as being necessary.
17. They unconditionally support Israel and have a close alliance with the Likud Party.

I'd like to see how Alan would respond to those 17 neocon-identifying items. Maybe he isn't a neocon, who cares? But I know his war position well and perhaps I shouldn't broadstroke judge him over that...but......

Some facts would be good

.
Hi Derek - You may be right, but you need to support your argument with facts about Alan - what he has said and done. Supporting the Iraq war does not make someone a neo-con; lots of people were duped, just as they were for Vietnam. This still goes on, regrettably.

Alan did not "gang up" on Dr. Paul; he just asked some sharp questions. He was polite but insistent; that's his style. Sean Hannity, however, did "gang up" on Paul: he put words into Paul's mouth about the 911 attacks being "invited" and that Dr. Paul "would stand by" while genocide occurred in Iraq--implying that Paul had no sense of moral outrage. Alan came to Paul's defence by pointing out that we stood by while the Kurds were massacred. To this Hannity had no reply. Interestingly, when Hannity loses and argument, he turns away instead of conceding the point.

But, again, you may be right about Alan. I just know him as a kind friend. He has a view of social responsibility that liberals usually endorse: federal programs to help the old, sick and poor. Dr, Paul would leave that to the states, to the religious and social institutions, not the U.S. government.

Alan Colmes and Ron Paul

"Dr, Paul would leave that to the states, to the religious and social institutions, not the U.S. government."

Yes he would, it is overdue, thanks Dr. Paul.

Neocons, Liberals, and Ron Paul

Hmmm... I heard a Liberal talk show host today say that he is sick of getting Ron Paul calls five or six times a day. Now Neocon radio show hosts can't stand Ron Paul either. I do find it interesting though that Ron Paul is getting support from everday Americans that range from the Right to the Left. This has to drive idiots like Lenin..arghh.. I mean Levin nuts because in oder to destroy America and create a New World Order you have to divide the nation. Liberty unites us, and these guys can't stand it.

Use energy constructively: call NPR instead

.
I learned long ago that I could never win an argument with an ignorant person. I wasted a lot of energy trying. Now I put my energies toward constructive activities, and supporting Dr. Paul is one of them.

There is a long list of talk show people who are either ignorant, inflammatory or are the hired lackeys of a large media enterprise. You can't win with these people, ever. Yes, it is possible to annoy them but that is not a profitable use of time.

One good place to call, however, is National Public Radio. The people who listen tend to be smart and fairly savvy. While the demographics suggest that the audience is liberal in its viewpoints, most are fed up with President Bush, the war in Iraq, the economy and issues concerning personal liberties. If you are going to call any station or network for an on-air shot, try NPR.

I strongly disagree with

I strongly disagree with that. Ron Paul supporters should call"friendly to reason" radio shows and not. They should call both. We cannot just "bath in the selfassurance foam". We have to get out and talk to the people with opposite views, especially radio hosts. People are wakimg up slowly. The goal of calling to the radio with opposing views is not to convert host. The goal is to give the chance for some of his listeners to hear about Dr. Paul.
Name recognition and sowing the seeds of fresh constitutionalist ideas in the minds of radio listeners.
I also would recomend to blog on unfriendly blogs.
I,myself, visit frequently Race42008 blog and I have noticed that supporters of different candidates are blogging there. I am sure that some of them are convertable. Blogging with them is the way to use the energy constructively.
Many of the presidential candidates will be dropping soon. Some of the voters have to find someone else to support. Help them to discover Ron Paul. Visit Race42008 and help us argue Ron Paul ideas.

Blogging is good

.
It is the AM radio talk show hosts that are bullies. They rarely let a thoughtful caller explain anything at all. The radio hosts continually interrupt, are dismissive and rarely are receptive. Their audience is solid and with them. If you have ever tried to get a word in edgewise with Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage or Sean Hannity it makes for a frustrating experience---that is, if you can get past the screeners in the first place.

However, while it is not my cup of tea, I applaud those who have greater fortitude than I have. Go ahead! Call them up and see how you do. My point about NPR is that, usually, they are polite to the callers.

Blogging is another matter entirely. Writing is easier than having to figure out how to parry the host's invective while still getting a point across. With a blog, or a site like Daily Paul, you can just write from the heart and put it up.

Anyhow, good luck to you.

talk radio

Rush and the others can say what they want on their shows. I think it is more interesting what they don't say. When a topic being discussed would naturally lead to a mention of Dr. Paul, his name is never mentioned.
Rush had to say his name a couple of weeks ago when reporting that "Senator McCain and Ron Paul" were the only two Republican candidates to sign up for the YouTube debate for the original date. (He didn't give him the title Congressman).
They are afraid of Dr. Paul.
Rush's recent secret meeting with the President was likely to discuss the election. He has made it a point to say he has not decided to endorse yet.

call

I called like he asked. But I always act opposite of what certain media types suggest.
I said...
GO RON PAUL!

Tyrrany, like hell, is not easily conguered.

Talk Radio Hosts

I recommend avoiding revenge against the neocon radio hosts. Just let it pass. They and their masters have nothing but hatred for the Constitution, us, and Dr. Paul. The Constitution stands in their way, and we support it. They may give lip service to the Constitution when convenient, but that has been a method that politicians and propagandists have used since the beginning. Nothing new here.

On the other hand, Dr. Know and the r3VOLution have been turning lemons into lemonade since the beginning of the campaign. Maybe it is time to proceed from the ridicule stage to the fight stage. I just don't think so. Yet.

I'm sure that regardless of my words of caution, Mr. Levin and his advertisers will be getting plenty of calls in the near future. I will enjoy seeing the results. :)

Don't forget to send Dr. Paul a birthday present. I'll be sending the recommended $20.00, plus a separate donation of $17.76. I'm hoping others will be sending lots donations of $17.76. Imagine someone checking out donations received by the Paul campaign on the www.fec.gov website and seeing lots of donations of $17.76. Might turn a head or two. I guess we won't see it until after September, but it will be a nice sight. :)

First they ignore, then they skew your stats then they attack.

Thank you Mr. Levine. Now a lot of your listeners who didn't know much or anything about Dr. Paul know a great deal more. They also know that per the neo-con globalist world view of the elites, Dr. Paul is indeed a dangerous man. I would have thought you saved only your best anger for the domestic economic socialists. You counter reaction greatly helped the cause of liberty and even for free, no less.

When the big boys attack, you know you have struck a vein.

Go Ron Paul!!

Absolutely agree

Definitely -- any press is good press. If Levin really opposed Ron Paul, he wouldn't say a word about him. It's the old phrase, "hate is not the opposite of love, indifference is."

Blitz his Advertisers 800# lines with potential "customers"

Perhaps, we could voice our displeasure concerning his "campaign" against Dr. Paul with Mr. Levin's and ABC radios advertisers. When they run an ad during the program with an 800#. We could all call the phone number from the ad and talk to the operators about what ever product they are selling and stay on the line for as long as possible.

Perhaps, you could act confused and after 15 or 20 minutes or so you could ask to speak to a supervisor and talk to them for 10 or 15 minutes. At the end of the call thank them for their time and hang up with out buying anything of course. If the operator tries to build rapport during the call with small talk you could tell them about Dr. Paul and his message of individual freedom.

Not Able To Answer In Depth Questions

Yes, this guy is bad, rude and so on, I totally agree. The problem came when the callers could not answer the more in depth questions. The solution is to be able to answer these kinds of questions more effectively.

Does anyone have links to Ron Paul's position explaining in more detail on withdrawing the overseas troops? I'd like to be able to answer that question myself. I'm sure it is much more thought out than just bring them all home come what may. What IS the Plan exactly?

Re: Not Able to Answer in Depth Questions

The fundamental problem is this type of foreign policy is a new (sort of) development, as such there is not a lot of developed thought about how a humble foreign policy, like the one imagined by Congressman Paul would play out on the grounds outside the ivory tower. Afterall, the majority of thinktanks even conservative ones, still operate with the basic assumption that America must play the role of the superpower in a unipolar world.

Of course the thing about being the lone superpower is that America can define the role however it chooses. The thing is we need new think tanks that will delve into these issues and begin to elucidate this new foreign policy strategem. Afterall, that's the sort of resources the "1st tier" candidates have at their disposal--Mitt Romney wants to know how he should approach a particular foreign policy issue, he consults conservative think tanks. I don't know if there are many think tanks out there developing humble foreign policies, but I doubt it. As it stands, there may not be a lot of details about how Ron Paul's positions or positions like his would work in regards to specific global situations.

We are pioneerring this--I have been wondering the last few days about the feasibility of a "grass roots" think tank.

To that effect, I can't speak for Ron Paul the candidate, and I can only speak to the issues raised by Mr. Levin in the youtube video, since I missed the program myself but I would say this:

Military spending should, obviously, be a reflection of America's military obligations at home and abroad. To the extent that our involvement in military operations overseas are reduced our budgeted military expenses should be reduced. The caller made the mistake of answering Levin's question about slashing military spending too decisively, engaging Levin's game of black and white and allowing himself to be drawn into the host's rhetorical trap.

Levin brought up South Korea--it is an interesting question. I'm no expert but even as America begins to enact a humble foreign policy we need to be smart about it. Our commitments in the Pacific are long standing friendships and alliances, and we cannot and should not abandon our friends in the blink of an eye (which would put them at risk) instead, we need to slowly withdraw allowing our friends Japan, SK, Taiwan, and AUS(trailia) to take over regional security in their own neighborhood.

The singular way to do that is to remove the anachronistic restriction that prevents Japan from developing a military capable of projecting power in the region.

While Japan is prohibited from developing militarily, we must stay in the Pacific. Removing the strictures placed on Japan at the end of the Second World War, will allow a democratic Japan to become a true regional power, who coincidentally also has vested interests in the stability of the Korean Peninsula & particularly the security of South Korea.

Now obviously, that sort of development will be years or decades in the doing--it can't happen overnight (as Japan must build it's own true military and South Korea must strengthen theirs) --in that regard Mr Levin was correct and the caller as a result seemed terribly naive.

However, there's no reason to believe we cannot "liberate" Japan and expect them over the next decade or two to be fully capable, technologically, militarily, diplomatically to take over their own defense and promote the stability of their own backyard.

Hooray! We must be doing something right

Whatever you do, don't stoop to his level. It's a r3VOLution.

IMissLiberty

Someone come up with the perfect conversion speech

Someone come up with the perfect conversion tactic for the people who do call Ron Paul's office. You might as well capitalize on the one-on-one opportunity. That would be the ultimate way to tic off Levin. Just imagine a meet-up group of Former Leviners for Ron Paul.

ha ha ha

Don't you think this guy:

Join the fun!

Don't feed the trolls!

I don't really have a problem with people calling the Mark Levin show, I'm just not sure how helpful it would be. I think it might result in more disparaging remarks and more hateful tactics against Ron. Besides, I sincerely doubt many people talk this guy seriously or plan to call Dr. Paul's office...

the best tactic is to ignore this guy. He's obviously trying to elicit a response out of Paul supporters, so why let him?

"the best tactic is to

"the best tactic is to ignore this guy"
Absolutely not.
The best tactic is to atack him on his show.
Ron Paul is still in the faze of "name un-recognition".
Having free air time on "conservative" radio show is a powerful way to get to the people who didn't wake up yet, but they are very close to it.

levine

just ignore him, he sounds kind of stupid to me.....he's about like Rush, Hannity & O'Riley. They pretty much wear blinders much like a race horse. They are only directed to support the causes of their sponsers, who are typically government related. Ever notice how rude these show hosts are. I used to find them somewhat entertaining, but now they're just blowfish. You can't get a word in edgewise. I wish someone with some YouTube experience would do a piece on calling in to the talk shows, and record the reaction they get when they mention their support for Ron Paul.

His Fansite

Just checked out his fansite. This guy is SO full of hate it is amazing. He is a total fascist nazi type. Some people find this to be "entertaining"? and he has high ratings? Who was it that said the most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity... I think they might be right..

What a jerk

I cant believe how nasty this guy is. He needs to be taken down a notch somehow. Who sponsors this guy anyway... He is going out of his way to disparage Dr Paul and our movement. Anything we can do? Ideas anyone?

What Would Ron Do?

Jesus said to return good for evil. It really confuses them. They want an argument, it boosts ratings. Don't give the evil ones anything to talk about.

You've got to accept that Neo-Cons are the total opposite of Ron Paul and Freedom. It's just their nature to hate and malign us. Let 'em! Ignore them.

We are representing RP when we contact the media, so don't stoop to their level by harrassing their advertisers.

Ron Paul 2008: The most important vote of your life

yeah, ignore Levin -- I'm gonna resume doing so

Pathetic intellectual coward, afraid to let the caller finish a sentence. Leave him to his own sandbox, if that's what he wants.

Ronward and upward....
