Dr. Paul on NPR "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me"
Sorry if someone already posted this - I didn't see it so here's the url:
I was disappointed because all the questions were about wacko fringe candidates and other people. Normally I like NPR, but they could have questions that didn't insinuate what I felt by listening...
(If you're not familiar with the show, it's a comedy quiz show about current events.)

That was great
Gun totting hippies. lol Would be the safest country in the world. "Dude you shoot him. No way man you do it. Its to far. well I can't i'm louding the bowl."
That was a great laugh. I love Ron Paul.
NPR is helping Ron Paul
I was helping at a Ron Paul booth at a Farmer's Market yesterday. A number of middle aged ladies came up to the booth throughout the day wanting information about Ron Paul. They all said that they had heard him on NPR and that they were interested! I'm so glad that Dr. Paul did that show!
I thought it was great.
I thought it was great. Ron Paul shines in every venue, because he's real. He doesn't pretend to be "hip", and people can feel it, and they love him for it. If the joke's on him, he laughs with everyone. He demonstrates that the way to fit in everywhere is just to be yourself, but not to take yourself too seriously.
When the venue is serious question-and-answer, he really answers the questions; when it's just for fun, he has fun along with everyone. Can you imagine any other candidate doing either, much less both?
Like Mark Twain said, "When you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything."
It was good publicity
Dr. Paul was treated respectfully and I do not doubt that some regular NPR listeners are going to check him out.
I Heard the Interview While Driving
I regularly listen to NPR much like I was as I was in my van this morning. I was growing tired with the show on the air and was just about to switch channels when I hear "and our next guest is Ron Paul..." What a nice surprise!
Well, I heard the interview and questioning and I thought it went very well. He was respectfully introduced by the host, who clearly and carefully outlined Ron Pauls basic campaign positions. Sure the show is a comedy show and they will do just about anything to get a laugh. I think Ron Paul definitely showed he is a genuine person with a decent sense of humor. I think it impressed not just the host, but others on the show as well.
