Petition Congress to Obey the Constitution/ Time sensitive

The link above is to send a petition to Congress making the radical
New Year's petition that Congress actually obey the Constitution in
the coming year & correct some of its more atrocious recent
violations of it, such as ending the abridgment of habeas corpus,
reclaiming from the executive the power to declare war & following
the law prohibiting torture.

This is an excellent but pointless idea
For the following reasons:
1. We are not under Constitutional government
2. Most of Congress probably doesn’t have a clue
3. Most of the American people don’t have a clue
We are living under a “state of emergency”. The Proclamation was drawn up by F. D. Roosevelt on March 6, 1933 and approved by Congress on March 9, 1933.
To quote from several sources:
U. S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 9
“The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.”
The Constitution was suspended in 1862 because of the Civil War and again in 1917 because of WWI. In 1933 Franklin Roosevelt used the previous ‘emergencies’ (which had not been repealed) to deal with the current emergency of the depression and further his expansion of power to the Executive branch.
Proclamation 2039-President Franklin D. Roosevelt
“Now, therefore, I, Franklin D. Roosevelt, President of the United States of America, in view of such continuing national emergency and by virtue of the authority vested in me by Section 5 (b) of the Act of October 6, 1917 (40 Stat. L. 411) as amended by the Act of March 9, 1933, do hereby proclaim order, direct and declare that all the terms and provisions of said Proclamation of March 6, 1933, and the regulations and orders issued thereunder are hereby continued in full force and effect until further proclamation by the President.”
Congress effectively abrogated their powers and enabled the Executive branch to take over as dictator. The above states that only ‘the President’ may proclaim an emergency over/done/finished. Of course, it’s in their own interest not to. No ‘state of emergency’ has EVER BEEN repealed/terminated/ended, etc. Just look at the ‘War on Drugs’, the ‘War on Poverty’, ‘War on Terrorism’, etc. They just keep adding to the list of ‘emergencies’. We are still under the ‘emergency’ of the Act of October 6, 1917 from the first World War. We are still under the ‘emergency’ of the Act of February 25, 1862 when Abraham Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus and the Constitution. However, until March 9, 1933 when Congress gave all power to the Executive, they could have repealed some of these but didn’t.

Study the above document. You will be shocked at the mess we are in.
This is why we need Ron Paul as President. He will declare the ‘emergency’ over which will end many of the programs that have tied the people down in slavery.
We need to do this....

This effort is especially relevant considering the attempt yesterday by certain elements in the Senate to pull another fast one in further weakening civil liberties, which was thwarted at the last minute by Sen. Chris Dodd.
If we could pull off making Dr. Paul the $6M man in one day, surely we can bury Congress in paper . Please sign, and tell at least one other person--even many people who are not supporters of Dr. Paul would love to get behind this effort, and can do so.
