Ron Paul Wins Five Straw Polls, Mainstream Media Remains Silent
Whether it's Washington, Alabama, New Hampshire, or South Carolina, the message is the same. We want our freedom, our rights, our money, and our country back, and we're willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Continue reading at the Lew Rockwell blog

Main Stream Pravda
I think a more appropriate name for the media is Pravda. I'm sorry but I
believe it fits. It's not something I'm happy about. It's not just Dr. Paul
getting harsh treatment. Television news is gone. I can't remember
when it started getting dumbed down but it is actually painful to watch. It is an insult to the viewer's intelligence. I can remember when
they had integrity and made every effort to be non bias.
In depth reporting is gone all that is left is T & A reporting.
Thank God for the internet we have that for at least a little while
or until they find a way to suppress it.
what's the nromal coverage?
Even if Romney won, would the coverage really be that much more? it seems the only significantly accepted straw poll is the Iowa one anyway.
As an example, do this search using your favorite search engine `straw poll site:cnn.com` and see what cnn has reported in the past.
they pretty much only have covered Iowa anyway.
course, they did cover some South Carolina straw poll back in April
The Media Plays Favorites
.
For Hillary, Giuliani, Romney, Edwards, Fred Thompson, McCain and a few others, their coverage is daily in the media. The reason is that they all support the war in Iraq. Many are members of either the CFR, the Trilaterial Commission or the Bilderburg Group. (The Bilderburgs like Edwards).
They represent the war-making mentality, the business-as-usual mindset. They are all quite silent about the North American Union and National I.D. Cards. None of them play fair; and all have seemy pasts which the media chooses not to disclose.
Dr. Paul, on the other hand, stirs it up. No more war, no N.A.U., no I.D. cards, and other ideas that makes the N.W.O. gang and its lapdog media grow a little concerned. But only a little. They control everything, including the elections, so our task is important: get the word out as much as possible about what is really happening, and why Dr. Paul is so important to our Republic at this time.
Duh
What'd you expect? This is the MSM. To expect them to favor Dr. Paul in any way is to want what never was, and what never will be. Those of us who have graduated from the preschool of the mainstream should only be astounded if they actually do that which is self-detrimental for them to do.

Mainstream media
.
I don't think some of the readers of Daily Paul understand: the mainstream media does not want Ron Paul to do well. That is why there is not much coverage. And, when the coverage occurs, it is often patronizing or dismissive. Not always, but often enough to be called a trend.
I worked at NBC for many years and I know how they operate. NBC, along with the other major broadcasters, are owned by large corporations with valuable defense contracts (GE owns NBC; Westinghouse owns CBS, for example). If Ron Paul were to bring the troops home from Iraq and elsewhere, then the need for more guns and war-making materiel would soon plummet. War is good for business, but of course not for the people or the unfortunate military.
Even if Dr. Paul wins the republican nomination (of course I hope!) then the NY Times and Fox and CNN will begin their coverage with the words, "And, finally...."
The most important thing any of us can do is a) register as a republican and Vote! And, b) tell one new person each day about Ron Paul. That is, in the end, more effective than any news story or program.
Jump on the Bandwagon
We have a great opportunity today to spread the message that other Republicans are jumping on the bandwagon with Ron Paul. How better to get the votes of those that want to jump on with Ron Paul but aren't sure about letting go of the war just yet.
Today is a great opportunity to spread this message.
GOP Senator says bring the troops home.
Senator John Warner, R-Va., former chairman of the Armed Services Committee and Navy secretary during the Vietnam War, said Bush should bring troops home by Christmas.
WOW!!! This is huge for our cause. We need to run with it like theres no tomorrow. I have heard it many times, from die hard Republicans, I really like Ron Paul except for his stance on the war. We now have ammo to fire back and tell them that other Republicans are starting to jump on the Ron Paul bandwagon about the war.

Chalk up another one.
We'll be able to add Dekalb county in GA to that "first place in a straw poll" list soon as well. I attended last night and Ron Paul won. We'll send it in once we get a media post on it with the final tally.
