This comes from the Constitution Party web site

Ron Paul: The Congressman from Texas is quite simply, ‘the best they’ve got’. The physician is the only candidate who has a 100% constitutionally-correct voting record. Because he votes against unconstitutional bills every time, he earned the label "Doctor No."

He alone in the entire GOP lineup is the only one who voted against the war in Iraq. On every single issue he is a pure, unadulterated, founders-woulda-loved him conservative.

Paul never voted to raise taxes. Not once.

Paul never voted for an unbalanced budget.

Paul never voted for any infringement on gun rights.

Paul never voted to raise his pay.

Paul voted against the blatantly-unconstitutional power grab that is the Patriot Act.

Paul does not participate in the congressional pension program and he returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year – a rare Congressman who practices what he preaches!

The attempts to ignore Congressman Paul have been calculated and sinister.

Though MSNBC reported that Ron Paul scored the highest positive votes in both Republican presidential debates and the polls showed he beat Romney, McCain and Giuliani, the media took no notice. Next, a text message poll after the Fox News GOP debate showed Ron Paul winning handily; still no notice from the media lapdogs.

Sean Hannity was less than fair and oh-so–off-balance the night of the Fox News debate when he "refused" to believe Paul won the debate. In fact, Hannity was downright apoplectic. Within short order, the poll numbers quickly showed a lagging Giuliani had overtaken Paul. Kind of makes you want to say "hmmmm."

In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the "one exception to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill. So many men, so few true Constitutionalists.

A very natural question at this point would be, "Why is the Constitution Party not supporting the campaign of Ron Paul?"

The Constitution Party presidential candidate will be selected at its convention in the spring of 2008. We can’t say for sure what will be decided by the convention delegates, but as the party who puts principle above party loyalty, it seems that in the unlikely event that Doctor No is able to capture the Republican nomination, we would stand behind him 100%.

The dilemma we have is that we cannot sit around and wait to see what the Republicans are going to do but must build the ark that true Constitutionalists can find refuge on when it dawns on them that the Republican and Democrat parties will let them drown. To that end we must work to secure ballot access in all 50 states NOW and find a candidate who can carry our principles into a presidential campaign which will more than likely find a left-of-center candidate carrying the Republican mantle.

If the Grand Old Party does choose to return to its conservative ideals by supporting Congressman Paul, then there will be ample opportunity to throw our support behind him should our delegates so decide. If he does not win the GOP nomination we will have done much of the work to gain the ballot lines necessary to field a candidate who shares our values and who will govern constitutionally. That candidate could be Ron Paul should he decide to continue his race by seeking the Constitution Party nomination.

At this critical juncture in our history it is with firm hope we work toward the election of a true statesman who will seek to maintain the Founder’s vision in adherence to our great Constitution.

Here is a question why is it that the Libertarian Party can't do this????

election barriers

When Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich were on Bill Moyers PBS program a month ago I taped the show and have watched it again several times. Both candidates brought up very critical points which are deeply affecting their candidacy and that of the major 3rd parties, (Constitution/Libertarian). Ron Paul talked about how the election commission which happens to be a private organization is set-up to not only sabotage the efforts of 3rd party candidates but also major party candidates who rock the boat. Dennis Kucinich made the point that the radio and tv airwaves are owned by the public, not private corporations so when the election commission and msm team-up to stonewall candidates who they deem undesirable it is a violation of numerous laws. It seems to me that before there is any talk of bringing the Constitution Party to major status and or dealing with the skullduggery Ron Paul, Dennnis Kucinich and Mike Gravel have endured there has to be a huge grassroots movement to deal with what is happening with the election commission, the msm and ballot integrity and it has to be done in the courtroom because it is not working in the voting booth. There has to be huge class action lawsuits attacking both the governmental agencies and the private organizations and companies that are at the crux of the corruption. The funds can be raised on the internet and if enough people send enough money to an organization like lets say We The People Congress who's founder Bob Schultz already has a class action lawsuit going against the U.S. Government for violating Citizens right to petition for redress of grievances we would see the necessary changes needed to reinstate Constitutional governing. Again it is not working in the voting booth so we have to do it in the courtroom.

Where they on together?

I didn't see it.

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat pork!

It'll never happen, but...

The LP here in NY did sue and WIN in 2003 to allow voters to register as a 3rd party!

Before that it was either Rep, Dem or undeclared; now you can write-in a 3rd party of your choosing.

When I was in college I couldn't register LP, so I became a Republican.

Anyway, after the Supreme Court screwed us, I don't see how this can happen.

So, the official Libertarian and Constitution Parties endorse

...Ron Paul.

Does the GOP not realize that BOTH of these Parties are Offshoots of the GOP?

Dude, these parties were created by disgruntled Republicans who left the Party.

HELLO, RNC, ever hear of Lou Dobbs or Pat Buchanan?

Do you seriously think you can win without Ron Paul?

Conservatives are fleeing your party in droves.

Seriously... I'm next!

A more qualified endorsement..

could not be made. I, for one, will join them if RP does not get the nod. I have seen just about enough from these jokers at the GOP. The Constitutuion Party fits me slightly better than Libertarian, although I like both. If we don't get the nomination, I hope we have millions move over to make this a serious rival Party. By staying Independent, there can be no shown solidarity and it leaves the masses guessing and to vote for a "strong" Party.

From Iowa, to Texas, to Florida and California, I have just about seen enough of the crap from these weasels at the top of the GOP. While I could be wrong, it could take 20 years to change out the top people in it....and we don't have that much time. Sometimes a complete fresh start is better. It would only make sense if 10 to 20 million people joined it. I would hope people like Jane Aitken could put aside blind loyalty to the GOP, which we all respect, and help be a leader in that Party. For now, let's persue our goal of getting the good doctor the nomination and help to change the corruption that is the GOP. (Little need to mention the Dems as we all know that are just as corrupt)

I plan on joining

the Constitution Party after the primarys. We need a viable 3rd party that will go outside party lines to vote for what is right for this country.

I have played a part in the

I have played a part in the rise of the Constitution party in Illinois. I am an Independent but I am also a constitutionalist. If not for Paul I would definetly give the Constitution party my vote!

Nicely done

Where do we save these things for outreach purposes?

That is an unqualified but very analyzed endorsement.

Is it larger than the Libertarian Party?

Liberty is not free, It must be earned!

it could be...

i am a member, and i've been hoping (i know the chances are slim) that the constitution party would decide not to run a candidate in this election, and tell all of their members to support ron paul.
constitution party has been growing pretty fast, but Badnarik (libertarian) got twice as many votes in the 2004 election as Peroutka (constitution party).

Yes it is

Where do you think alot of republicans went when they left the party, because of Bush.
