Reprehensible hosts

These two are unbelievable. I can't believe this woman felt so compelled to comment that she didn't think Ron Paul had a chance at all. (She's obviously another member of the MSM "Borg" that owns George Stephanopoulos.) If the interviewee had said any other candidate, I'm sure there would have been no "questioning" of their judgement. No wonder the recognition Ron Paul is getting is as the candidate who doesn't have a chance.
The guy seems impatient to the point of rude with the "none-of-the-above" Democrat. No wonder I don't watch CNN.

Lovin' it!

I love seeing a young, bright female republican featured on this piece! Kudos to her for not backing down in who she felt DESERVED the nomination and presidency.

OK, I'm about to change my mind on cloning...but only if it would be HER type being cloned...not the "Dems at all cost" gal...lol.

By the way, former Democrat here that changed for Ron Paul :-)

Democrat.

See that Democrat is not voting for anyone, shes voting against Bush.

Really.. what are the democrats waiting for.. they could start to fix the damage Bush has done tomorrow.. the reason is they don't *want* to fix it. In fact.. they support Bush and give him what he wants time after time.

I think these "anyone but Bush" Democrats would support Paul if they only knew about him. (Naturally the hardcore socialist really do hate Paul tho, and they are quite scared of him.)

Laura missed her chance

.
When Rachael dismissed the republican party wholesale by saying each candidate would give Scooter Libby a pass, among other errors, Laura really should have stepped in to correct her.

Still, it was good she mentioned Ron Paul.

She probably couldn't hear

She probably couldn't hear her.

Hilarious Reaction

Don't you just love their reaction? When she said Ron Paul would win, they were like "No no. Obviously he won't win. We're not asking who everyone supports, we asked who do you think will win? Totally different question!"

But of course it is. In a real democracy, the candidate with the most votes would win, but in the system we have, that's not the case. The one who wins is the one who the most people "think would win."

It would be pretty funny if CNN asked all Americans the same question, a majority would say "Ron Paul" and CNN would say, "Ha ha, no, but seriously who do you want as pres?"

I'm looking forward to the day when I vote for Ron Paul in the primaries and when I press the Ron Paul button on the electronic voting machine, the machine will give the message "You can't be serious. Now try again."

Truthful

.
Your last paragraph about the voting machine was as funny as it was profound. I heard the voice of HAL 9000 saying, "I'm sorry Dave. I can't do that."

But this brings up a topic that has often been raised on Daily Paul; that the media, the election machines and other less-than-honorable agents will rig the game. It has happened before and, frankly, I don't know what can be done about it.

A Clear Message

Did you notice that the Young Democrat is unable to articulate even one Democratic position, while the Young Republican is not only articulate, she clearly understands Dr. Paul's positions.

Because of the clarity with which Dr. Paul communicates his message, not only is it easy to retain, but easy for each of us to resolutely deliver to others.

I was asleep, but Ron Paul has awakened something in me

Ron Paul - There really is something different here.

I'm in my 50's, and years ago I gave up the illusion of finding someone worthy of my vote for President. The candidates are politicians; beholden to their party, lobbyists & special interest first - the people last.

I've always thought "...An honest politician -Yea Right! when pigs fly -I'll believe that when I see them vote down a pay raise, give back left-over money in their office budget, and give up their obscene congressional pension..." Guess what! Ron Paul actually does this!

Here's something else that speaks volumes about Ron Paul's character -- lobbyists don't even bother to visit his office any more. They know that if the legislation doesn't serve "The People", and if it doesn't follow the Constitution, he won't vote for it.

I've watched Ron Paul (YouTube/C-SPAN) & I don't ever recall hearing him say negative things about the other candidates. He's running a clean campaign, always sticking to the issues, & never resorting to "mud-slinging" like the others.

Whether you agree with his ideas or not, you have to admit, it's truly refreshing to actually find an honest politician - one that actually looks out for "The People", and follows the principles of our founders -no kidding!

Oh - here's another thing I find very interesting, the major media outlets are essentially ignoring him, and the other candidates are trying to bar him from future presidential debates. You have to ask yourself, WHAT ARE THEY AFRAID OF!?

I emailed Rachel Moore

Just for grins, I emailed Rachel Moore, the President of the College Democrats at Lebanon Valley College. Here is a copy of the email I sent:

Hi Rachel,

I saw your interview on CNN, and definitely agree that anyone would be better than Bush. However, I must disagree with your statement that all Republican candidates are for staying in Iraq. There is one anti-war Republican running, and his name is Ron Paul. He has said many times that we need to "just come home". He is the opposite of Bush in so many ways.

I have studied candidates from both sides, and have decided to support Ron Paul for a number of reasons. First, he has always been against the Iraq war and he wants to bring our troops home from around the world. Second, he is very well versed in economics and knows how to stop things like the stock market bubble and housing bubble. Third, he strongly follows the Constitution and Bill of Rights. His campaign is drawing support from Democrats, Republicans and independents -- on ronpaul.meetup.com, he has nearly 40,000 online supporters from around the nation and around the world.

I cannot support Democrats when they failed to stop the Iraq war after winning the majority in the House and Senate last year. Also, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have said that nuclear war with Iran is not off the table. I simply cannot support candidates who would threaten to use nuclear weapons. It goes against everything that Democrats stand for. Ron Paul is the only candidate I have found who has a pro-peace message and a substantial following. As much as I dislike Republicans, I am switching parties to support Ron Paul.

Here are some websites with more information about Ron Paul:

Of course, I neglected to tell her that I am switching from the Libertarian Party, not the Democrat Party. :^)

I think it was a good call

I think it was a good call to send the email. Any conversions would help, as long as she's even remotely open minded, which she didn't really appear to be. I think spreading the word on college campuses is pertinent.

"Dreamers have the advantage of envisioning considerable desires." A.R.D.

To be fair

.
It is easy to dismiss the Democrat candidates wholesale--as many have done with Ron Paul and the Republicans. However, they are not all bad. Dennis Kuchinich would have my vote in a heartbeat if I were not a Ron Paul supporter. He introduced an article of impeachment against President Bush and is perhaps the maverick of the group. I like his views on many issues.

But, when faced with Obama, Hillary and Edwards, Dennis's chances are slim. They have great financial resources and are "made guys." The top tier republicans are far less solid. Giuliani's position is crumbling, now that the New York City Firefighters' Union have blasted him for a variety of lies and grandstanding. Romney's flip-flops may do him some harm in the polls. Flubber Thompson's past is so reeky that no wonder he has not yet announced. McCain is dead in the water at the moment. The candidate to watch is Mike Huckabee. He is doing well. He is a likable candidate, despite his pro-war stance.

1st tier

wow, ok, i have stated we are not considered 1st tier because of the national polls, but did you see how quick they were to dismiss her answer.

The other thing, again, a democrat stated all Republicans are the same, and we all know this is not correct.

Yea I noticed that she said that, too

I wish I was there just to tell her that Ron Paul is the only Republican against the war. It just goes to show that we still need to get his name and message out there.

the interview also goes to show

Just how pre-programmed that Democrat was into a system where antilibertarian media bias actually allowed the moderator to attack one candidate and the opponent to ignore him. The breadth and depth of the bias sometimes astounds me, because apparently others either do not see it or just-barely see it, despite its obviousity.

Young Republicans meetings

All supporters should try to attend their meetings and help out -- we did and I think it took us a long way helping Dr. Paul's honest message get out there. Getting one young Republican activist like this one is like getting 100 promised votes, so these are very important people to us right now. Good luck, wear a smile and nice clothes and bring some campaign literature. :)
JMR

Meetings..

Whether it's young republicans, women's gop, town, city or county committees you should try to attend ALL their meetings and bring some literature with you and introduce them to Ron Paul.

what a contrast!

The RP supporter girl was locked and loaded; the Democrat cheerleader was cute and clueless. Gahhhhhh... if that were my daughter parroting Michael Moore in front of the world, I'd be fighting back the urge to go strangle all her teachers and bury them under the FDR statue in DC.

Fantastic

Wow! Fantastic work. I'm glad she didn't back down when those people tried to pressure her. The only way to win the nomination is if we BELIEVE and MAKE it happen.

What a metaphor for the candidates.

You've got a democrat that preaches without paying any attention to the actual question, and then likens all of her answers to how bad Bush is and how "all republicans support staying in the war", Isn't that a direct quote from Hillary?

Then we have a well spoken, direct a young republican who won't back down and cites reasons she likes her candidate and dislikes the top tier. Speaks volumes on the quality of supporters.

Lew Rockwell.com

Great letter in today's Lew Rockwell site on Sean Hannity. It is a little long but covers a lot of ground which all Dr. Paul fans should be aware of.
