Who is the biggest traitor in American history and why?
The list of American traitors is a long and inglorious one. Some have been patriots that did horribly un-American things that ruined our country, some are power-hungry scumbags that put their own interests above ours, some were just plain stupid, and some fell victim to insidious ideologies that convinced them the American Way just wasn't good enough.
Right now, at the top of my list would be George W. Bush. I think he's just stupid though. I mean he HAS to be unless he's the best con artist ever.
After all, one of the rules of the con game is to seem dumber than your mark. If Bush is a con man, then he's got this part down pat.
What about Hillary Clinton? She authorizes the use of force in Iraq AND Iran and yet takes no responsibility for it what-so-ever, instead playing partisan politics to distract voters from her true globalist / socialist agenda.
The CFR, nuff said.
There are simple examples but I really want to hear from the DPers and your thoughts.
What about lesser known people? I'd like to hear some stories about other traitors that we should be aware of.
We can't fight the destroyers of our freedoms unless we know who they are.
Please back up your assertions with an argument, unless it is someone ridiculously obvious or someone we've talked about at length.
I'm in a pissy mood with so many overly-opinionated and generally obnoxious posters running around here telling me what to do or not do with my money, so let's focus this aggression on something else.

they have pictures of our Dr Paul with Don Black and his son. Trying to paint Paul as a racist because he happens to be at a rally in Florida and these two nitwits approach him to take a picture. Like Dr; P would know who he is.
NO KIDDING, who is Don Black working for? He may have donated a few dollars to the campaign, but he is trying to discredit the Dr and there are too many people who will run with this bogus story.
Surprised no one mentioned LBJ or McNamara?

Wilson or El Presidente Jorge Dubya Bush
It's one of these two. Probably Wilson since fixing the problems he caused are going to take a while. It's hard enough to convince people about the money problems we have now mostly because they don't even understand what money really is.
Jorge hasn't secured the border to keep terrorists out, but he loves to take away civil liberties of all citizens. So he's gotta be a close second.
.
.
Thomas Jefferson for the
Thomas Jefferson for the Louisiana Purchase. He gave in to the evil, and helped to start this whole mess.
Nope.
Jefferson's purchase, like Seward's of Alaska was a stroke of foresighted brilliance.
Try Alex Hamilton, who favored a central bank and eventually got his by Aaron Burr.

you can find it on a youtube search. i wish i had the clip handy but i don't. it was right after she went to iran and kiss ahmenijad's feet for ratings. he called her a whore like 47 times, an intellectual prostitute, the lowest creature in American journalistic history. When I first heard it, I had to pull my car off the side of the road. I was laughing so hard i couldn't drive.

Corporate Mainstream Media
Corporate media would be at the top of my list.
I have gotten so skeptical (rightly so) over the lies, mis-information, unprofessionalism, sensationalism, lack of morals, lack of accountability, etc. in the msm. It is pathetic that now, every story I read, any information I see, that I have to double or triple check the story myself to see if it is true. It perpetuates bad behavior in our whole society. It makes it "okay" to lie and mislead, to spin and embellish.
I get more objective and truth in media from foreign outlets than I can right here in my own country.
It's obscene and disgusting, it should be criminal.
Organized Christianity & religion comes in at a close second.
David Rockefeller
He admits it in his own memoirs.

In My Opinion
It would have to be Lincoln, for enslaving the ENTIRE population of our country.
"Honest" Abe
Before getting into politics he was a successful trial lawyer who represented slave holders in court as they sued to retrieve their human property.
Okeh, maybe THAT wasn't necessarily treasonous, but it certainly was loathsome.
Viva Agora!
LehrBoy

Abe
He also locked up a thousand or so newspaper journalists for reporting the truth and not supporting the war effort. Used the race card (slaves) to start the war, when in fact, the states were on their way to doing away with it themselves. Totally pissed all over states rights. "Honest Abe" probably did more to expand federal governments power than anyone else, well maybe, besides GW Bush.
Wilson means War and the Federal Reserve
That Virginia racist has got my vote....
Wilson, FDR and the American clergy
I agree with those who said Woodrow Wilson and FDR -- but since I'm a somewhat new Christian I also believe the Christian Clergy in America fell asleep at the wheel when they bought into the socialist creed and asked the devil (i.e. the IRS) for permission to operate as 501(c)3 'tax exempt' corporations.
In my opinion, they sold out the American people for a few pieces of silver. Not all of them, but certainly enough to make a big difference and allow the propaganda to flourish.
One, two three - for obvious reasons
Abraham Lincoln
Woodrow Wilson
Franklin Roosevelt
Thats my three
Lincoln was a tyrant. The industrial revolution was ending slavery all over the world, in mostly peaceful fashion, and he plunged the USA into a blood bath. And he destroyed most of the checks on the Federal Government in the process.
He was the first American Dictator. Unfortunately, he won't be the last. Hopefully we can get Ron Paul in the White House to slow down the process and extend the life of the Republic.
Wilson started the foreign military adventures and played a role in setting the stage for Hitler to emerge. His hands are very bloody.
FDR. Our own National Socialist. The adoring media seems to have forgotten he got most of his "New Deal" from fascist Italy. He turned a depression caused by the credit cycle into the Great Depression by interfering with the Markets normal healing process.
Oh, I'm sorry, you want reasons
Lincoln destroyed the old Republic (the 10th Amendment).
Wilson launched the "progressive" age, something Roman history could have identified as idiotic.
FDR, well, should I go bother?
Always pointing fingers!!
Face it, in each of these cases the American people have allowed ourselves to be fooled! Fool me once, twice, three hundred more times!
Stand up and take responsibility and stop pointing fingers.
We are the biggest impediment and the greatest asset.
Those who get out in the ring, evil or good, have at least had the courage to do something!
If Ron Paul fails it's only because each one of us...didn't do enough.

Sorry, but
The Ameican people DID NOT allow Lincoln to do what he did. They lost.
What about McKinley?
The first President to lay the foundation for the American Empire, and all-in-all a total whack job that was not fit to be President, let alone re-elected.

the American people...
we have no one to blame for all the morass and corruption in America, and the world in general to a large extent, because of the majority of Americans over the past 100 years... WE are the most traitorous, not the people on here per se, but apathetic, selfish, willfully ignorant, oblivious, and uninformed masses who have allowed the Rockefellers, the Rothschilds, the ass-wholes like Bush, Truman, Lincoln, etc. and the Federal Reserve, and the corrupt policies, and loss of liberties, and the scam of the money system....
Americans busy with bobbles and trinkets and feel good nothingness meanwhile bills are passed and rights are relinquished, without as much as a wimper or a fight....
disgusting.. i am a white, lower income, late 20's, tattooed, self educated, fully informed, and angry American who is mostly ashamed of this country, ashamed of fellow Americans for the most part (past and present, but more so these days because of the ability to find out the Truth with the stroke of the keyboard or the multitude of great books with the Truth in them, which weren''t available 50 years ago or more... so the modern Era Americans get NO pass... we are all complicit to a small or a large extent by passivity and ignorance and selfishness), and personally ashamed I haven't done more, we can ALL DO MORE....
Traitors, yes, but....
not necessarily intentional ones. Extremely negligent may be a better word. Kinda like murder vs. manslaughter. The person is still dead! In this case, the country.
I think the top of the list is our current and last administrations, and our boy, Rocky. But true, the Benedict Arnold list is quite long.
Amen!!!!
Amen .....

how does this help get ron paul elected?

Whoever was the one
who shot JFK and to this day if you look closely at
the Zapruder film watch Mr. Greer the limo driver
and what is in his hand.
JFK was not bougjht or paid for and was willing to dismantle the Federal Reserve and also the CIA of which resulted in the sad day of November 22, 1963.
Now I would say Bush & Cheney without a doubt !!!!
A bit sarcastic here..
The people who supported and voted for GWB and the Republicans and Democrats in congress that did not have the spine to stop him.
No I understand we all make political mistakes.. he just was a big one...
Woodrow Wilson
Woodrow Wilson
Amen. There's somethin'
Amen.
There's somethin' happenin' here...
The biggest traitor in US history just endorsed McCain
Henry Kissinger gets my vote hands down for the biggest murderer in US history His deeds include the murder of US soldiers, citizens of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Gulf wars one and two, as well as organizing the attack on the us embassy in Iran during Carters admin. Just google Kissinger, you will find lots more.
The jerk just endorsed MeCain. (which is a helluva lot better than endorsing our man)

ditto
Kissinger has my vote too.
Biggest Traitor = Tie
Wilson and FDR,
Wilson destroyed the money and FDR destroyed the Courts..ie Constitution.... A Tag team of changing our true freedoms for ever !!!
1. Dick Cheney 2. Benedict
1. Dick Cheney
2. Benedict Arnold
3. Woodrow Wilson
Woodrow Wilson...Money Elite Stooge
Thank you Wilson for the income tax, the federal reserve, getting us involved in WWI which would have ended in stalemate, would not have decimated a more benign Germany...but led to crazy Germany and WWII. Thank you Wilson for working with the British to carve up the Middle East into countries filled with age old enemies of each other that would create an unstable whacky middle east. Thank you Wilson for your 'Spread Democracy' at the end of a gun policy that still exists.
Gosh...Wilson was the BEST!!!!

Federal Reserve to the American People:
"Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam."
I was surprised nobody had
I was surprised nobody had mentioned him. Especially since Paul supporters are so anti-Fed. If there is a hell, he is surely there.
Wilson regretted what he had done.
Wilson said in 1919, six years after signing the Federal Reserve Act "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial system is now controlled by its system of credit. We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction, but a government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." Wilson went to his grave regretting the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Federal Reserve to the American People:
"Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam."
every president except the first 13, Cleveland, and Coolidge
i dont know history well enough to be sure about this claim.....anyone care to add to the list of non-traitor presidents? JFK maybe?......
also im not really even sure about the first 13.....although id say the first 6 at least were good guys
J. Edgar Hoover
The people that look aghast when RP talks about getting rid of the FBI would do well to review what Hoover did - and how he sold out our Civil rights.
FDR
from what i've heard and read, he deliberately lined our ships up at pearl harbor and provoked the japanese to attack on purpose, sending us into the most devastating war the world has ever known. we should have let the russians and germans wipe eachother out. it really wasn't any of our business. germany wouldn't have tried to invade the US in a million years. roosevelt was secretary of the navy when he assumed office, by the way...
National Socialism
FDR is a traitor because his administration represented a pivotal moment in history and change in political direction for our nation.
Albert Jay Nock, in his Our Enemy the State (1935), stated that fundamental social changes only occur in times of extreme duress. The depression was such an event.
FDR was publically a national socialist in the early 30's and his administration blatantly moved the United States away from the hated capitalism and toward an American version of National Socialism.
I recommend the newly published book : Three New Deals - Reflections On Roosevelt's America, Mussolini's Italy and Hitler's Germany, 1933 - 1939 by Wolfgang Schivelbusch for an in depth perspective of these times.
FDR is tied with Lincoln, who turned the US away from its Republican form of government and toward a dominant Federal government. This represents an equally pivotal moment in American politics.
Both of these men are responsible for FUNDAMENTAL changes.
The ABCD Agreement
Japan was totally dependent on imported oil. Roosevelt wanted a war with Japan to help pull the US out of the depression, but didn't want the US seen as the aggressor. Four nations controlled the world's oil supply at that time, the US, Britain, Canada and the Dutch. These four nations agreed to shut off all oil sales to the Japanese, known as the ABCD Agreement. Roosevelt miscalculated in that he believed Japan would attack the Indonesian oil fields in order to secure this supply. At the time of the Pearl Harbor attack, Japan had less than a 30 day supply of oil remaining and were fighting a major war in China. Pearl Harbor was actually a brilliant, tactical military move, although they miscalculated the American will to fight a Pacific war and our ability to concentrate our industrial capability, damaged by the depression, to supply a war with Japan.
