War on Spending and saving the economy are #1 campaign themes

The economy and spending are the true main campaign themes. Listen to Paul on the war, on healthcare, on immigration, on taxes, on almost anything and the underlying theme is economics.

The other candidates cannot touch him on this.
People relate when it hits their wallets
His voting record is immaculate
MSM is already talking about this - look at the beck utube video. Dobbs...

The grassroots need to do the same and align behind this message.

While we're at it...

Let's dig up the corpse of Woodrow Wilson and use it as kindling for the bonfire in which Bush roasts. He's the President who oversaw the betrayal of all the good that America stood for. His later life admissions of guilt do not absolve him of responsibility. He should be impeached posthumously. I've never advocated wasting tax dollars on ceremonial efforts, but this is one in which i would chip in my $.02.

US Government Likely To Confiscate Gold From Americans

Gold and silver would both seem good methods by which to divest oneself of nearly worthless "Federal" Reserve $notes. However, unless these real assets are held in another country, Americans are in danger of being robbed (again) of their life savings.

In 1917 the Trading With The Enemy Act was passed. This legislation is still in place and has provisions for taking Americans' precious metals and other valuables such as jewelry, coins, etc., by force if necessary. Maybe even your teeth as in Nazi Germany.

Article 5(b) in the legislation states:

* ...the President may investigate, regulate or prohibit, under such rules and regulations as he may prescribe, by means of licenses or otherwise, any transactions in foreign exchange for the export, hoarding, melting, or earmarking of gold or silver coins or bullion or currency.

This means that the pResident of the United States (read "decider"), may do whatever he pleases with your money or your gold if he deems our monetary system to be in jeopardy. And from all practical standpoints, our currency is undoubtedly in dire jeopardy.

Section 5(b) was used by Illuminati member Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933 to confiscate Americans' gold. President Carter used it to freeze Iranian assets during the hostage crisis. It seems almost certain that the "decider" or the next selected pResident will also use it should we take our money out of the banks and/or rush out to buy gold, or try to wire money off-shore.

Historically, governments have banned the ownership of gold prior to their citizens refusing to use the "officially" designated currency. It's already happened in the US before; why would it be any different today? All that is required (because of the Trading With The Enemy Act of 1917) is for a sitting pResident to issue a decree.

Considering that so many countries are divesting themselves of $dollar derivatives RIGHT NOW and refusing payments for goods and services in US "currency", it will only be a brief matter of time before Americans wake from their well-entertained slumber and realize the $dollar is worthless.

No One Wants The USD

Remember, it is not just the American people who find the USD revolting, it is the world!! Good luck to the neocons trying to tell the world that the USD must remain the currency of choice. And the threat of confiscation has been written about by many knowledge insiders who all agree just how impracticle and futile an endeavor it would be...It is about time the US government wake up to the legitamate reality of the global economic system and learn to compete in a civilized way, put their arms down and educate itself to the ways of the 21st century. Might is not right.

I dare you to

If they are going to take my gold it is going to be from my cold dead hands.

Gloating

I am not sure it is as much propaganda as gloating that we are stupid enough to do this to ourselves.

The funny thing is we taught them this trick because it is how the USA took down the USSR. We showed the taliban that by drawing the USSR into foreign wars to protect their empire that they can be taken down economically. We did our part by spending ourselves (star wars program). But when they fell we kept spending and spending and streatching our empire.

Now they are doing the same to us using our own tactics against us.

Taliban

Your absolutely right. Might is not right. USD is dead. Only Ron Paul is honest enough to tell everyone. Protect yourself, buy and take physical possession of gold.

When the $ bails--Bush will too--on a helicopter to Saudi

When people finally wake up to the REALITY of the bankruptcy of our country it will be too late. Honestly, the gov't will have to protect Bush from the masses of hysterical, angry people that will want to round him up and his entire family to be tried for treason (or worse God forbid).

I would not be surprised to see Bush fleeing on a helicopter for safehaven to Saudi Arabia or some other country that he has made rich off of American's backs.

I feel sorry for Texas A&M...b/c that whole university will proboly get destroyed due to the Bush Presidential Library being there ...anarchy will arise to take out vengence on anything or anyone named BUSH.

What you are describing

What you are describing sounds like a long-overdue celebration of justice served up to the perps BY THE PEOPLE - as it should be. Lest we forget, include Alan Greenspan in the perp walk too; he's just as responsible for the collapse of the US economy as the other sellouts.

Video Double

Justice

The long over-due celebration is justified. I was told that the Bush family has already purchased tens of thousands of acres, a ranch, in South America.

The coming collapse of the modern banking system

The banks don't have the reserves to cover their downgraded assets and the Federal Reserve cannot simply monetize their bad bets. There's no way out.

By Mike Whitney

Stocks fell sharply last week on news of accelerating inflation which will limit the Federal Reserves ability to continue cutting interest rates. On Tuesday the Dow Jones Industrials tumbled 294 points following the Fed's announcement of a quarter point cut to the Fed Funds rate. On Friday, the Dow dipped another 178 points when government figures showed consumer prices had risen 0.8 per cent last month after a 0.3 per cent gain in October. The stock market is now lurching downward into a "primary bear market".

There has been a steady deterioration in retail sales, commercial real estate, and the transports. The financial industry is going through a major retrenchment, losing more than 25 per cent in aggregate capitalization since July. The real estate market is collapsing. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced on Friday that he will declare a "fiscal emergency" in January and ask for more power to deal with the $14 billion budget shortfall from the meltdown in subprime lending.

Economists are beginning to publicly acknowledge what many market analysts have suspected for months; the nation's economy is going into a tailspin.

Just wait for the Christmas numbers...

Undoubtedly the Christmas retail sales will be down due to the newly homeless Americans inability to continue to purchase truckloads of presents. Then it will be all over the news.
A story like this can't be contained for long as eventually businesses start closing their doors and people start losing their jobs
Or worse yet, ill-advised shoppers may still be financing this Christmas debt on credit only deferring the issue longer.

Now is the time to return to meager living folks.

USD Collapse

Enjoy reading your articles posted on The Silver Bear Cafe. Just wish your articles where also on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. The USD is dead, buy gold.

I've been screaming about

I've been screaming about this since I discovered that Saddam had changed his reserve to the euro in 2000. I educated myself on our monetary system and tried to educate others around me at work and my family. They don't have the background knowledge of how the monetary system works, so their eyes glass over. They know prices are going up and it's harder to "get by" but they don't see the danger ahead. I'm sure if they did everyone of them would be a Ron Paul supporter.

I make dvds

of "The Money Masters" (available at Google video) and pass them out.

Show them this

video. I find these videos help where they won't listen to us sometimes they will watch a video. Show them the Money Changers.

yes, how do we address the ignorance of we americans?

I sometimes wonder if Ron Paul could do the old Ross Perot shtick, buy some air time and try to help people understand what the hell is going on. Expensive maybe but it is needed.

Buying T.V. Time

Great if the money is availabe. However, I typically run off 50-100 copies of articles that I think well describe the death of the USD and pass them out. Practically no cost to do. Can only help.

New World Order

Look on the bilboard behind the guys in the conference room. Says "A New World Order" at least I'm pretty sure that's what I see.

Aku Soku Zan

repeated later

my bad, where is the delete button?

I'm scared. We have to get

I'm scared.
We have to get Ron Paul elected!

This is the end?

It's easy to sing about it when it's not your currency. Long ago I became dissillusioned with consumerism because of moral reasons and now I really understand the practical reasons for it as well.

Check out a new election blog

I found an election blog about Ron Paul and all the candidates at

Congress Approves $2.42 Billion in Aid to Israel
U.S. Capitol

Congress acted to provide Israel with critical assistance.

Congress on Wednesday gave final approval to $2.42 billion in U.S. aid to Israel, including $2.38 billion in military aid and $39.6 million in assistance for the resettlement of refugees from the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and Ethiopia. The House and Senate approved the funding as part of a comprehensive federal funding package, including the annual foreign-aid bill containing Israel’s aid. The bill also includes restrictions on aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA), including a prohibition from using U.S. funds to pay the salaries of Palestinians in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. For the first time, Congress through a provision in the bill links Egypt’s economic and military aid to Cairo’s efforts in stemming weapons smuggling into the Gaza Strip. The bill now awaits President Bush’s signature.

so we are beat almost 150 billion from this illicit administration and disregard of citizen safety. guns gas gold?

Critical Assistance?!!

Critical Assistance, critical assistance?! What about critical assistance to us? Holy smokes, It has never been made more clear than now, FIRE CONGRESS, impeach Dubya, ELECT RON PAUL!

Oh wait, I know how to solve this... dig a hole in the sand and insert head, it will all be better then.

This is why if Ron Paul is not elected, this country is doomed. I'm sick, but mad too, and fighting mad.

It still amazes me how many people haven't a clue to what is happening.

Dear Lord, help us all, please!

head in sand

While your head is in the sand your other end continues to get something inserted into it...

What a bunch of bull.

What a bunch of bull. That's just terrorist propaganda! Anti-American lies! Them terrorirsts on AlJezeeree should be hung. I am going out to buy an SUV bitch.

JK

There's somethin' happenin' here...

This is no Bull. It is happening for real

After the Dot com busted in silicon valley. Me and my wife came to the realization that it was not worthed to to put our savings on one home in the US. At the time we realized it was better to just buy property free and clear in Brazil and by-pass the 30 year mortgage deal. During the last 7 years we have bought assets in Brazil ( a third world nation) to generate income.

At this time 2007 due to the US dollar sinking like a rock our investments have double in price against the dollar and so our income stream in dollars. By next year I will be moving there, with 6 paid houses and 3 businesses. That sounds better than the 30 year mortgage. Im not telling you this to brag, but to let you know that the crisis in the US is coming. Prepare for it. Put your money elsewhere. Contribute to RP's campaign ( I do every weak until I get max out), and by all means vote for him.

While corporations go abroad with the approval of the government, you are being blinded to stay here to pay the bills. Abroad we already know how worthless the dollar is, way before the msm started to talk about it. When you talk to most Americans about this, they are in lala land. The majority just dont understand.

Anyway, the only think I can say to anyone reading this reply is to scream WAKE UP! and hope they listen. I keep asking my boss if I could get payed in Euros and explain to her why. She is steel half at sleep but waking up.

I only hope we could avoid the financial collapse for I would not like to see the people in our country to suffer.

God bless.

Dollar Diversification

For those among us that can't or don't want to get "out" of dollars (or the country) entirely, it may be useful to see some expert advice here on diversification of assets in these forums. Several years ago, I switched virtually all of my brokerage / IRA and 401(k) holdings to non-dollar denominated assets. For example, mutual funds in my 401(k) are held in funds that invest almost entirely outside of the United States, and these funds do not hedge (or correct) for dollar changes. This means that all of my European holdings have gained in dollar terms, simply as the costs of a Euro has gone from $.85 to $1.45, AND I get the market share gains as well. In terms of emerging economies, I'm also a fan of much of Latin America and southeast Asian countries, ex-China. Should the dollar begin a more precipitous decline, my holdings are fully protected. There are also online banks in the US that allow deposits to be held in dozens of currencies at interest. Precious metals are another option, but not quite as liquid.

Moving to Brazil...

Great story!

For anyone else interested, there's some excellent information on "abandoning the sinking ship" and moving to Brazil at the following website.

excerpt:

BRAZIL is the fifth largest country in the world with 4,500 miles of coastline, the Amazon River, the Atlantic Rainforest, the Panantal Bird Reserve, the preserved mining towns of Minas Gerais, 4,000-foot mountain peaks, a European-populated southern coast, South America's largest city and its financial engine - Sao Paulo, and one of the world's most enchanting cities - Rio de Janeiro.

Add a large dash of friendly Brazilians and a cost of living that is one-fifth that of the United States and what is there not to like? If you can't find it in Brazil, you're probably not going to find it anywhere.

But can foreigners legally purchase property in Brazil? After all, some of the world's most desirable countries don't allow foreigners to purchase land or houses. (Thailand and Bali come to mind.) The answer is yes. In Brazil foreigners have the same legal footing as Brazilians when it comes to buying property.

Taking out the US dollar so we are forced to this:

Amero Currency: One Union Under God? With Liberty?http://www.amerocurrency....

amero...

This looks like the path we're on! Kill the US dollar and then make a case to form a North American Union to compete with China / Russia / Iran and the EU (euro), and we'll need a new currency - the amero.

Also check out "The coming collapse of the dollar and how to profit from it" - a great book on how and why the dollar is failing! Tons of history and information, it's a great read! We're on the way to collapse just as rome did! Under its weight from big government, outstretched military and the devaluing of the money! the difference now is that we can't physically see our money changing - back then they cut holes / wedges in the coins to make more money!! Imagine if the dollar started to have holls or parts cut off of it!!!!

I posted this video and a link to that book on my blog: http://infopatriots.blogs...
