First I fight unsuccessfully for unfettered access to my kids. Now I fight to be able to see my mother. The similarities with DSS [Divisoin of Social Services, Massachusetts State agency which receives essentially 'bounty' money from federal government to fund its family intrusion program/ ju] for anyone who has been involved with that evil agency are striking.

Background:

My elderly mother’s is having memory issues and showing signs of dementia. She needs more assistance than she is currently getting in order to be able to safely stay at home where she wants to be rather than in assisted living.

Incident:

My mother got her blood checked and it was much thinner than expected. She takes a daily blood thinner and the doctor theorized that she may have taken 2 in one day. Over several days they adjust her dosage to get her blood back to normal.

The doctor contracts out a nurse from VNA I think (Visiting Nurse Association) to visit my mother. The nurse is supposed to check my mother’s blood as far as I know. She does a full evaluation while she is there (I am in the process of finding out if that was per her doctor’s instructions, is it required by law, or is this some renegade nurse).

The nurse calls me with ‘concerns’ and says she is going to file an incident report that will essentially report my mother to another agency who will come in to determine if it is safe for my mother to be at home.

The nurse that had ‘concerns’ called me to tell me her concerns and why she is reporting my mother. This already had DSS-like overtones but this is where it gets EERILY similar to DSS: pure nonsense from complete imbeciles:

My interaction with the ‘nurse’:

This so-called nurse tells me that my mother refuses to eat. I ask the nurse if she considered the possibility that my mother wasn’t hungry or that she didn’t want to eat in her presence.

Response from nurse: doubletalk.

She says that my mother told her that she doesn’t eat regularly. I ask the nurse to reconcile that statement with the fact that my mother is moderately overweight.

Response from nurse: She has to go by the information that my mother gave her.

This so-called nurse tells me that there is no food in the house. I point out that I was there yesterday and the freezer is PACKED with food, and there a pound of deli chicken and swiss cheese along with half of a chicken pie in the refrigerator. Response from nurse: She says that although there is food in the refrigerator that none of the food is open.

I point out that perhaps the food that she ate she ate completely and threw away the wrappings.

Response from nurse: Silence.

She says that my mother is incapable of preparing her own food. I ask how she drew that conclusion if my mother made no attempt to prepare food in front of her.

Response from nurse: none.

I also point out that I watch my mother make sandwiches and use the microwave regularly.

Response from nurse: She might be able to do that when I’m there but there is no proof that she can do it if I’m not there (I must send off ‘food preparation vibes’ or something I guess.

She says that my mother is very confused. I ask what she bases that conclusion on (and she phrases them as conclusions, not observations):

Response from nurse: Mindless non-specific babble. (Note: I admit that my mother does generally have confusion, but you should have seen this idiot try to describe any confusion).

My mother is depressed, but no mention from this nurse of any symptoms that might be symptomatic of depression.

The ‘other agency’:

This other agency (can’t recall the name)[this is likely the local elder services program which like DSS receives federal subsidy for its operation/ju] , notified by this imbecile nurse, makes an unannounced visit to my mother’s house the next day to do an evaluation. She claims to be there to assist my mother to stay in the home, just like DSS claims to be there to help families in need (Have you ever seen DSS literature? It is criminally deceiptful). But the literature that she leaves makes it clear that they can make a determination that my mother is incapable of being in the home alone and steps can be taken to forcibly remove her for her own safety.

This battle is just beginning for me. This is more proof in my mind that as bad as the war on fatherhood is, that war and this situation I’m dealing with would not be problems were it not for obtrusive, out of control, nanny-state big government. How anyone can vote for anyone other than a Libertarian (Ron Paul currently) is beyond me. Government is controlling our lives, cradle to grave, and it is getting worse daily.

I wouldn't be surprised if

I wouldn't be surprised if the nurse probably gets a bonus for people she "refers"...

Mens News Daily is a good place to read about men's rights

I read www.mensnewsdaily.com and www.mediaradar.org to check up on the latest news about what God-given rights have been taken away from men recently. Bush's type of Republican is really a Christian Democrat. They are "progressives" and they hate men as much as the NOW.
