There is a lot of confusion in this thread as to what exactly Christianity is. Of course, this has been made more confusing because of the various denominations and pastors who speak outside of the Biblical truths. Here is what Christianity is in its simple form:

1) God is holy and perfect -- the creator of the universe and of man.
2) All men have rebelled against God and therefore deserve death.
3) God, wanting to save man, sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to be born as a human, live a perfect, sinless life, and be crucified and killed to take the punishment we deserve upon Himself. He was raised from the dead on the third day and then ascended into a heaven.
4) This payment has been offered freely as a gift and cannot be earned by anything that we can do ourselves.
5) If we accept Jesus' payment for our rebellion, our relationship with God will be restored, and we will be raised like Jesus to live with God forever.
6) As believers in Jesus, Christians should follow Christ's commands as a testimony of their faith in Him. Faith is the trust we have that God's promises are true and that His commandments are given for our benefit: to give us a joyful life.

No thats not quite correct. Baptists have no opinion of Penticostals to my knowledge other than maybe an individuals view, but not any type doctrine that I am aware of.

The only real difference between catholics and baptists is basically the Mother Mary thing and the "ritual" type things like ash on the forehead, but baptists have their own "rituals" so I doubt baptists want to be hippocrites, so I cannot see there being too much in the way of angst there. I have not heard anything from baptists negative towards catholics in my neck of the woods.

As for Mormons, from what I can tell, most people outside of Utah seem to think of it as some kind of cult-like thing. Most people I know that talk of mormonism associate it arabic or islam like having many females etc. I have also heard people say mormans tend to make up their "laws" as they go along to suit their needs. I dont profess to know anything about mormonism, just telling what I hear. If its like pretty much everything else now days, its prolly all lies.

This hurts Huckleberry. As a Christian and as one with many Christian friends, anyone who aligns himself with Hagee hurts himself. No one - outside the brainwashed herd that follows Hagee and that is a very small number - thinks Hagee is even Christian. Alignment with Hagee is a serious mistake, but I am sure glad he made it.

He left his wife in 1975 (wikipedia) while attending church for another woman whom he married in 1976 and is his current wife. According to scripture this is an adulterous affair and thus makes Hagee disqualified from ministry much like Rudy Ghouliani being a non-citizen. (Although being disqualified from ministry is eternally more serious).

Huck is scheduled to preach at Hagees cornerstone church and they will probably share some war agenda ideas to "protect" Israel and usher in the "second coming of Christ" whom Hagee doesn't even believe in.

Their minionship (CUFI) was up to about Eleven Thousand Heads last time I checked and cornerstone church in San Antonio runs around Eighteen Thousand according to Wikipedia.

These Zionists are psychotic warmongers and some of them are politically active and very militant for their evil agendas.

Hagee is an extremist/traitor to America. He is a bought and paid for CFR merchadise. Why any real christians (or anyone else for that matter) would give .02 cents what this man has to say is beyond me.

I believe in a lot of the biblical prophecy Hagee does, but God doesn't need our help to make it come to pass. If anything, we are holding back God's hand by interfering.

Nobody has the right to impose their religious beliefs on others.

I was raised Catholic and continue to view the traditions as an important tool for the teaching of morality...BUT I also feel that organized religion is the root of all evil in the world. Maybe, second only to political parties; organizations are corrupt -- giving up the individual rights for the good of an organization -- just look at the congressional Republicans.

For those of you, whom identify yourselves as one faith or another, please don't be offended. I have no problem with belief, I am a believer myself; my only problem is with the organizations themselves.

Christians need to wake up and decide what they really believe and then find a candidate that will allow them to practice their faith without judgement or government intervention. RON PAUL is that candidate. He will not judge them and he will not allow our government to take away their freedom of worship. He might not be out there preaching but he is out there living by example the Christian way. I am a born again Spirit filled Catholic and I support RON PAUL for President of the USA. Huck is now the bulls eye again on pardons/clemency, this time because he granted clemency to a well-heeled Republican campaign donor in prison with his forth DUI. After getting the Huck clemency, he again went on a binge, this time racking up a .18 blood alcohol level and swerving across the line into the path of an oncoming police car. Shades of the Wayne Drummond affair, where Huck granted clemency to a rapist who went on to rape and murder again.

The clemency took place over the dead body, metaphorically speaking, of the local Mothers Against Drunk Driving, which sent Huck a letter pleading that Mr. Fields had a record of "ignoring second chances."

I had a feeling Huckabee wasn't smart enough to avoid the rapture-ready types. He'll pull lopsided numbers in the south and some other evangelical-heavy states with his folksy little jokes and low-key demeanor, but his little gibes at the other candidates and cross-or-no-cross? TV spots are too cute by half. He's the rural evangelicals dream candidate, but the RNC knows he'd get buried by the East and West coasts in a national election. At this point he's running for a vice-presidential seat, to sew up the South if Edwards is picked as Dem VP, whether he knows it yet or not. Like I said, if he isn't smart enough to avoid the Apocalypticists--and Catholic-haters!--he's probably not smart enough to understand his own chances.

The RNC originally believed they'd have to take Giuliani because Giuliani was perceived as socially moderate and therefore the only one electable to a country that had showed itself, after the 2006 elections, deeply suspicious, if not hostile, to "conservative" (read, Bush-like) Republicans. But Giuliani has been dropping like a stone, and Huckabee keeps shooting himself in the foot, and can't win outside the Bible Belt anyway. And McCain's too old; he's yesterday's news. No, the establishment wants Romney--business loves him, his national poll numbers have doubled in the last two months, he looks like a male model, and now he's showing that he can effectively placate, via speeches like his "Religion in America" speech on Dec. 6th, the formerly suspicious evangelicals. Plus Romney gives Republicans a real shot at some northeast states, and likely Michigan too. Forget Huckabee, Romney's the real threat. We should be focusing our efforts on him.
