Redstate.com is dead by self inflicted wound
Has anyone else been tracking redstate on Alexa. WOW, the day they banished RP supporters, is the day they committed suicide. It is really really stunning.
Quick question: When will they do a mia culpa, or have they given up?

This is histarical
redstate is trying to spin their ratings by now posting total traffic hits on the rise over the course of the year. The problem with this is that their hits have doubled while overall internet traffic has gone up ten fold in the last year. They are losing ground, but are sticking to the arguement that they are gaining ground.
Denial is not a river in Africa!!!
Huckabee's traffic
His traffic is going up because we keep going to look at his site to make fun of him. I am not sure if we should stop going or keep doing it to create the illusion of him getting "real" hits.
We CRUSH redstate in every category
They don't even exist compared to DailyPaul.
We are ranked at 10,000 in the US.
They are 55,000 in the US.
In Australia...you know the kanagaroo place? Where following Dr. Paul means nothing except love of peace and Freedom?
We are # 5393 most viewed site
Redstate # 377,902 most viewed....huh? They rank below sites that feature feeding habits of extinct South American Monkeys.
Redstate isn't on the radar? What radar?! You need a laser microscope to pick up these guys.
I love picking on mean people. I love to dislike Neil and if it makes some sense maybe I should not be liking Redstate...if they only existed in our universe.

The entire trend for political blogs seems to be downward except for those associated with RP. Check out Townhall.com also.
This is becoming even more shocking. What is going on?
Is this the proof we have been looking for to discredit polling.
I guess the real proof will come on election day.
VOTE!!!!
in the short run
political internet traffic is a zero sum game.
Which means we not only are creating new RP votes, we are taking away votes from other candidates.
Even Alexa rating for Drudge has declined dramatically since dailypaul was created.
Drudge is passe'
RP is the guy to watch. Drudge don't ignore the truth. Post Ron paul and live, Ignore and u done.

Ich bin nicht ein Rotes-Zustandschwein. Yawohl!
I am not a Red-State pig. Most certainly!
Ich bin kein Roter Bundesstaat Schwein
My German is not fluent but I didn't run this through Google translate. :-)
Zustand = state only when you are referring to a "condition"
An American state is a Bundestaat.
You don't say "Ich bin ein" in German but just "Ich bin" as in "Ich bin Amerikaner". If you say "Ich bin ein Amerikaner" you are saying that you are a glazed cookie.
JFK said "Ich bin ein Berliner" which resulted in the Berliner Morgenpost publishing a big picture of a jelly donut the next day saying "Ich bin ein Berliner". JFK was loved for making that remark because the Germans knew what he meant despite the grammatical mistake.
Yes, politicial forum and blog reading could be considered a zero sum game in that DailyPaul is sucking readers from FreeRepublic.com and Dailykos.com. Alexa shows these major forums losing readers in 2007.
A big factor as well, however, is that tens of thousands of people were probably banned from those forums over the past few years simply for trying to speak their mind.
They deserve it.
I've also compared the stats of the other candidates' sites against the stats of dailypaul.com. Even a grassroots site to support Dr. Paul is outranking official campaign sites of the other candidates by a huge margin! I've been lurking here for 5-6 months (and all over the net actually), just never registered. I love, love, love the Doctor and everything he stands for. :)

I think y'all are misinterpreting the data
It seems instead that there was a peak of interest in redstate in October when they banned RP supporters, and after the peak, it has subsided to its previous level of viewership.
While the data do show dramatic growth for RP Daily, they do not demonstrate a dramatic decline in redstate support. I was one of those people that had never visited their site before, but went to give them my piece of mind about the whole RP thing. I think that people like me represent that peak.
RED who?
I don't visit sites that promote communist ideals.
FreeRepublic is now mainly for evangelist democrats
Jim Robinson (JimRob), the owner, lost his nerve 2 years ago when he got involved romantically with some liberal woman who pretends to be conservative. He is physically handicapped as everyone knows. My guess is that he was so grateful for her company that he was willing to sell out. He got some new moderators about 2 years ago. I personally cannot imagine changing political beliefs in order to be loved more by a significant other...but it apparently happens.
My other theory is that JimRob doesn't really know or care what kind of moderators took over there. I once owned a major website but, after I sold it, I never looked back. He may have sold FreeRepublic to a special interest with the stipulation that he not admit that he is no longer the real owner.
Libertarians used to be able to say anything they wanted there.
For a second there ...
I thought that graph was a look at the REAL national polling data for Julie-annie vs. Dr. Paul.

As you can see, their last bump in traffic was when everyone looked when they kicked all (not just new, it seems) RP supporters off. Pathetic? You tell me! :)

Look at it on a 3 year basis...
That graph is even more stunning!

Free Republic is next
I noticed that Free Republic is banning new supporters of Paul, or are deleting posts that criticize the Bush administration or the war. If you utter the word "neocon," you are history there.
Free Republic is such a joke
Free Republic is such a joke those people are so detached from reality it's incredible. There are still a few RP supporters over there but they have to watch what they say and they are consigned to their own little corner if they post RP articles unless it is a negative one. I was banned form there years ago for daring to criticize Bush's handling of the war and that was even when I was for it. I occasionally look in there just to see how it is going and always feel dumber having read the nonsense they post over there. Haven't been in a quite a while.

Yeah, check out their
Yeah, check out their traffic over the past few years.
I'm not the only person that has noticed that grass-roots conservative sites no longer welcome, not just RP supporters, but libertarians.
What will become of the movement?
FreeRepublic shows that forums gather dumb "regulars" over time
After 9-11, I became one of the more convincing supporters of Operation Iraqi Freedom on FreeRepublic.com. My knowledge of foreign affairs and my languages, etc, made me very welcome among the Neocons. I even considered myself a Neocon because, at the time, I did not know what it meant.
Then, in April 2005, I accidentally said "of course the Republican Party would self-destruct if they were ever stupid enough to say anything against premarital sex". That got me into a 6 day flame war . It seems that many of the regulars had every intention of someday banning premarital sex (among heterosexuals even).
Then, in November 2005, I came up with the idea that Bush could win against the Islamofascists without war if he asked conservative Muslims to join with Fox News, etc, to speak out against western liberals. I was shocked to see the real neocons burn with rage at that idea.
I now understand that they were furious about the idea that we stop fighting Islamofascists and work with them, without violence, to fight liberals because the Neocons really support the liberal agenda, while only disagreeing with liberals on the abortion and lesbian issues.
But I only suffered flame burns from that exchange. I was still considered a popular "Freeper" because I was so supportive of the war in Iraq.
In January 2006, a 37 year old married woman Freeper started a flame war with me because I said a man her age had the right to date a college student. She said my attitude was the reasons laws needed to be made to regulate men in their dating behavior.
I was still considered a popular "Freeper" because I was so supportive of the war in Iraq.
Finally, in February 2006, I got upset upon hearing about the IMBRA law that forces men to undergo background checks before being allowed to say hello to foreign women online.
I was then viciously attacked for being a "loser" because patriotic Americans don't date foreigners.
Not even my 3 years of eloquent Freeper support for the Iraq War could save me from having my account suspended as a "troll" at 2AM on February 18th, 2006.
Since early 2006, FreeRepublic.com has lost much of its once-heavy readership. A few strange regulars make it difficult for anyone with a brain to say anything that might not be politically correct.
A few regulars at FR are pro-Ron Paul, however.
I advise anyone reading this to logon and post without openly boasting of supporting Ron Paul...but writing "under the wire" about state's rights and how this candidate is a traitor and that candidate is a traitor...you don't have to build Ron Paul up directly. People can come to the conclusion to vote for RP simply by the process of elimination.
Let's not repeat their mistakes.
Good, informative post--but we're not immune to FreeState's mistakes. I've noticed a growing trend, especially among certain posters who seem to consider themselves DailyPaul "veterans", to flame, flag and gnash their teeth on any poster who is less than gushingly effusive about Dr. Paul or any aspect of his campaign. Even the most mild-mannered constructive criticism is ripped upon, especially if the poster's account is "new". The word TROLL is used all too much around here.
Undoubtedly there are real trolls amongst us, but they are most likely to be the ones accusing others of being trolls! Let''s welcome open discussion and if you disagree with someone else, politely present your arguments for your position, NOT rip on theirs. ESPECIALLY let's not drive away new-comers, no matter how "ignorant" they may seem to you---we need more people in the RON PAUL ARMY, not fewer.
Hey...
...better to be "right" than be successful.
no wonder
If you look at the link below you'll see that redstate.com's traffic and dailypaul.com's traffic were practically matched from July thru October. Then in October the trends diverged and they've been in a downward spiral. Our "reach" has grow 400% over the past 6 months. Their reach is the same today as it was in July.

What? Were they thinking?
Apparently not.

Doesn't look like anything really changed for them.
What I see shows a mostly flat graph, with a spike in traffic about the time they made that announcement (October 22, 2007).
You are not going to believe this but ....
five minutes after posting this I went to redstate and they have two posts in their "red hot" section concerning RP. Still no comments though.
This is great
Freedom is popular.
Censorship, closed debate, narrow vision is not.
Redstate is proving it. They are a waste of internet space and their name is stupid anyway. The red state - blue state crap is just retarded.
