It's too late to exercise radical solutions to a problem that we've faced all year. Let's not waste time on that.

What can we do?

Make sure that EVERYONE of us takes part in Iowa, NH and SC and all other later in the month. The best way to express our idea is to VOTE!!!

Lastly, keep in mind that the past few times voter turnout has been very low. I expect this year to be a little higher. However, for DrRP, I expect it to be 90%. I would not want to be the guy to express some excuse that I didn't make it to vote for RP.

I have to admit, I find this campaign absolutely fascinating (and highly addictive). For a bit of perspective, I have watched, participated, and supported this campaign from the beginning. And I have noticed a very specific trend over and over that the more the MSM ignores, name-calls, or tries to marginalize Ron Paul and us, the harder and more impassioned we supporters get. We turn our frustration, anger, hopes and dreams into stronger support for Ron Paul's campaign. All this energy is contagious, which only attracts much more and more attention and support.

I have a bit of a different take on this. Personally, I am not the least bit upset (or surprised) that Ron Paul is being excluded from the upcoming Faux Presidential forum. Ron has ideas that very much contradict the status quo. The MSM, which is entrenched in the status quo, can only hope and expect that ignoring or name calling Ron and us will make us go away. Historically, this immature approach can prove most effective. However, not now with Ron Paul and his supporters. He and his ideas have a grown into a groundswell of popularity that can not be ignored.

Many Ron Paul supporters bring up the clicheed Ghandi quote about first they ignore you, then they attack you, and then you win to describe this campaign. It could not be more apt. Reality has shown that when they ignore us and attack us the stronger, louder, and more organized we become. So I say, let the ignoring and name-calling continue. Eventually we will triumph.

The wife and kids take turns pedaling the bicycle-generator I usually use for the ice cream freezer in summer to make electricity for this computer now.
(We don't have electricity in the house, but out in the shed attached to the barn is okay.)

Since "FAIR AND BALANCED" Fox News excluded Ron Paul from the New Hampshire debate, why don't we create signs, banners, a new banner for the blimp, t-shirts, internet, etc. that says:

This will expose their true colors and possibly force them to drop the dumb slogan and come up with something else. If anyone knows anything about advertising and the massive changes they would have to make, then you know this will cost them millions of dollars.

Could we get some kind of commercial run with Ron Paul saying I have been censored (though am 3rd in the polls in Iowa and ___ in NH and the top fundraiser and the number one with the miltary) but I will respond to all debate questions asked of other candidates within 24 hours on the debate on Justintv and the video will be posted to my website and youtube. Campaign ads can't be censored by law. What a great chance to show America that their opinion is being controlled. "Wonder what else you're not being told?" Ron Paul could address some of the other issues after the other questions that the media is likewise ignoring.

Could we also stage something local to get into local newspaper and tv stations?

I feel strongly this will backfire on Fox.

In Des Moines, we had a hall full of supporters for Dr. Paul. C-SPAN had promised to air both our rally AND the tax forum.
The Video Crew hired by C-SPAN had car trouble. If we hold another, we need to make sure we know who C-SPAN hires for taping and make sure they don't get side tracked again.
The tax forum video made it to C-SPAN and our rally was AFTER the forum so we know video was in the area.
Lets be smarter this time and offer C-SPAN a backup plan for taping.

Take action: Demand an explanation on why FOX News and the NH GOP has refused to invite the top GOP fundraising candidate in the Primaries, and then demand that the public right to hear from all candidates requires that he be invited.

The biggest threat to RP's campaign would be an act of violence initiated by a RP supporter. This , I believe, is what is behind Faux news latest stunt. Any "TRUE" supporter of RP understands the consequences of such an act. So.. to all of you hotheads out there.... "cool your heels!" Your not alone, everyone's pissed off about this, but this is only the beginning, so cool down and listen. We need to out-fox faux and all the other neo-cons.

I'm sure the 'powers that be' have already got their plans for a "Lee Harvey Oswald/RP" supporter in the works, as they've been repeatedly setting the stage with all of their comments like, "wackos, crazies, etc." A violent or extremely radical demonstration would easily throw major support towards their "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act". If 'something' doesn't happen at the Faux forum, believe me, it's going to happen somewhere else down the line. This brings me to my point. So while you've got your thinkin' caps on....

Maybe we need some kind of credentials to carry, just as the journalists/press carry. If there was an act of violence, we could show our credentials to the press and show them that 'He/They" were not one of us. It's a simple idea, but unfortunately, has a lot of downsides. Credentials can be faked, a supporter could be a "plant', etc., etc..... So the only way it would work, is if they were all different in some way and issued/scutinized at a more personal level***. Personally, I just want to tatoo "Ron Paul 2008" on my forehead, but my kids won't let me.

Seriously though, there may be a way for this to work.... using RP's message of Big government vs. Small government. Big gov. = the movement as a whole; Small gov = *** RP "meet-up" groups. See where I'm going with this?

Anyway.. to address the issue at hand... I may be naive, but hitting them where it hurts, (the wallet), is something I have always believed in. Boycott sponsers !! First write 'em and tell them of your intentions and then ACTUALLY, boycott the s.o.b's. They are money counters and all they care about is revenue !!! Loss of revenue always gets attention. I believe this tactic was responsible for the turn-a-round of the whole "glen beck" ordeal. Can anybody get a list of advertisers for the actual faux 'presidential forum' telecast?

Some of us are rabble-rousers I can see from the posts. Most are good ideas that just require a little refinement. We still have a lot of apathetic voters that are not paying much attention to the primaries. Their may even be a low turnout for the other candidates proven by the high numbers of undecided voters that are still out there. What I think would help a lot is for someone that could gather the info on how much money the government takes in and a breakdown of where the money comes from and show how crazy it is to continue with the old ideas of the past These facts would be beneficial to garner support of undecided voters. How can they argue with facts like that?

The way we are doing this is openly...anyone can and are reading our threads...including "Fox and Friends".

I cannot adequately express in words my disgust in the Fox Network. I used to be a huge fan. My God...what has our Country turned into? This type of behavior was expected in countries like China and Soviet Union.

How we use it: Wake her up!

How?

With a live news conference, inviting all other media EXCEPT Fox or any other Murdoch-controlled news outlet. During the news conference, Ron Paul will provide HIS answers to any questions raised by the forum organizers as broadcast on Fox News (piped in via live TV). After every question, Ron will stop the forum broadcast (like for example with DishNetwork or Tivo remote control) and provide his answer. Then Ron will play the answer of each candidate present at the Fox event and give his comment as to what is wrong with the answer given by his opponents and how his solutions are far more realistic and effective. Then go on to the next candidate's answer, etc.

Naturally, Ron's event will last longer than the Fox event as he addresses each question and each opposing candidate's answer while stopping the Fox broadcast.

Sell the whole idea to CNN as a chance to get some of their viewers back that Fox drew away from them when Fox passed them up in the ratings. CNN is already very favorably disposed to Ron Paul compared to the other networks. (i.e., Tucker, Cafferty, etc.).CNN can use this to expose how cowardly Fox is acting and how they are depriving Americans of the real news story of this election cycle by excluding the single most interesting, most surprising, and most controversial candidate from its forum.

CNN can advertise this event all over the place to draw even habitual Fox viewers away from watching Fox' show (they'll be getting the same substance as those tuning into the Fox channel at the time PLUS Ron Paul's feedback - of which Fox is trying to deprive them so desperately!!

If CNN doesn't want to do this, go to the other channels. If none want to do it, make a Google video out of it and promote the heck out of it, everywhere. EVERYONE who watches the Fox event will want to know what Ron says, even those who don't agree with him, for the very reason that all of those in the latter group are afraid of him.

That's how we use Fox' worst fear - even the fears of its died-in-the-woo neocon viewership - against them.

And here's what I came up with:

Conduct an in-absentia debate. Locate some New Hampshire sports bars and/or other eating/drinking establishments that provide TVs for their patrons (e.g., Outback Steakhouse does this), and talk with their owners and/or managers about whether they would be willing to host a Ron Paul function (with LOTS of attendees buying LOTS of food and drinks) on the evening of the debate. The bar/restaurant could work with local meetup groups to spread the word about the event. Everyone would be welcome to come to the establishment and watch the debate. During the debate, as the questions are asked, the bartender could mute the sound and Dr. Paul's answers could be broadcast via a conference-call speaker phone set-up. ( This would permit Dr. Paul to speak to hundreds or thousands of debate-watchers in real-time. There might be a photograph on a DVD that could be displayed on the TV while Dr. Paul is speaking. (Speaking over a displayed image has been used by many presidents as their weekly fireside chats on radio are re-broadcast on TV.)

Advertising this statewide event could be done with simple placards posted in front of the individual establishments (in a manner similar to the way a restaurant posts their dinner specials).

The restaurant/bar might also want to offer special meals that evening to attract lots of new people. Many restaurants maintain mailing lists and might be willing to do a mailing advertising the event.

Also, the campaign could issue a press release to all the newspapers, radio stations, colleges and universities and TV stations in New Hampshire to make them aware of both the behavior of Fox News and Ron Paul's response to the snub.

Here is my thought on this:

We have to figure that there is a finite number of voters that will vote in the primaries. None of the media claimed "front runners" can spark any fox viewer to get off their couch and go vote in the primaries. ALL of the Ron Paul supporters are voting in the primaries (we hope)

Maybe we are better off letting those war mongers battle it out on the stage to the neocon fox news audience, and lay low for this one.

BTW I am not trying to upset anyone in this forum, but Fox has a way of trying to embarrass Dr. Paul in these debates and 24 hours earlier there is an ABC debate that will be real network "broadcast" instead of cable TV subscription "broadcast"

Furthermore that Fox news audience is extremely hard headed and they swallow what Hannity is selling. Hannity will NOT be selling Ron Paul.

Just a thought.

In any case I will do my part. I like the idea of picketing local Fox affiliates and even local NBC and CBS and ABC affiliates. Let's try to make a news story out of this exclusion.
