Military Sci Fi

I've just completed Part II of my military sci-fi series, called Galaxy of Heroes.

One of the characters in the series is inspired by Ron Paul. In fact, the character IS Ron Paul if at some point in the future Ron were to travel across the galaxy in his quest for liberty.

Basically, the series is about a man's search for his hero while trying to survive in a galaxy at war. If you like Robert Heinlein, you might like my stuff.

My work is self published. It's light-hearted, swashbuckling science fiction, so it's not Ayn Rand. But it is written by a guy who has been a diehard supporter of Ron Paul for the last six or seven years.

I'm hoping to write Part III over 2012. I'm currently working on an outline. I'm looking for feedback, so if anyone here reads my stuff, please shoot me an email and tell me what you think. I'd like to hear your critiques. Email me at gusflory@yahoo.com.

Part I is available for download for free on Smashwords: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/5190

Or, if you want to support a struggling writer, Part I is 99₵ as an ebook on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Part II is $2.99.

On another note, just as the Internet opened the door to the Ron Paul Revolution, it is also breaking down the gates in the publishing industry.

E-readers, such as the Kindle and the Nook, are allowing writers to bypass the publishing world's gatekeepers. The cost to self-publish an e-book on Kindle and the Nook is zero. A publishing revolution is underway.

If you are a libertarian writer, a window is now open for you to get your work out there without having to tailor it to the tastes of a clique of literary agents who are trying to sell to a small cartel of book publishers in New York.

Get your stuff edited and out there. I've been trying to get published for more than a decade without success, but now the floodgates are open.

Right now the sci-fi market is being flooded with neoconservative and neoliberal work. I'm hoping to build a fiction writing career based on my liberty-minded values. There's a market out there for us if the market is free. I know it.

Anyway, check out Galaxy of Heroes. You're gonna love it!
