Thank You from NH GOP
Just got a quick note from the NH GOP.
They thanked me for my part in stopping the bombardment (which in my opinion they DID NOT DESERVE) and even noted that a few of you sent money to show your apologies were sincere. They appreciated that.
I defended you all by saying that you are faithful supporters of Dr. Paul's and correct to be indignant over this turn of events, but most want to deal with it by doing the right thing.
I can tell you that I know the NH GOP is in continual negotiations in support of Ron being included. The NH GOP has never done anything to oppose our campaign since the day it got underway on February 24th, 2007 and I have no reason to think they had any hand in this now.
I am sadly still seeing comments that suggest the NH GOP is the culprit here or has complete control over FOX. Please, stop perpetuating the myth that the NH GOP is responsible for, or complicit in this, either by their actions or inactions.

This Sounds Like Nonsense To Me
It seems to me that the New Hampshire GOP and Fox are equally responsible for this outrage and I join the others who would love to see this article removed.
Yep nonsense
If you read the new Union Leader article online today you will see that it is not.

I don't think you can deny this Jane - here it is in writing
Texas Liberty Lady
Jane Aiken wrote on Dec 21st”
“Here is some advise that agrees with mine from Dr. Jim Forsythe…
“Many people, including myself, are concerned about vote-count, voter fraud, etc. Many third party organizations are talking a lot about this. But I have talked to the campaign and sincerely believe that the campaign's plans should handle this. Third parties coming into New Hampshire, who are not familiar with what goes on here, could actually hurt us. Please leave this to the New Hampshirites, and the campaign. We’ve got plans we can’t talk about……Work in your own state”
If the campaign was handling it why now the last minute push?
Yes, I am mad but let the facts above speak for themselves.
And I agree, take down the silly back patting post and the silly thread (including my uncontrolled anger) down.
But Jane, you can't deny what is in writing.
Jim's comments
There is nothing to deny. Who are you quoting? This is Jim Forsythe another person in NH that said this, who also knows what goes on here and agreed with me. No one is questioning this. You disagree with it. I never said it wasn't there...so I'm not sure what your point is about 'denying'?
And this is about voter fraud and counting the votes.
I still say let the campaign handle it here in NH.
And I stand by that OPINION, to which I am entitled.
And what credentials does someone need to simply pass on information that they got from the campaign or the party org?
That's all I'm doing. Take it or leave it.
I think this thread is important because I am tired of seeing a group to which I belong be trashed for no good reason other than some one person in another group in another state demonstrated poor behavior.
Talk about groupthink.
You are also entitled to your opinion as well. We should leave it at that.
Hi Jane
Hello Jane,
Just a suggestion----can this whole Article be removed from the site? I think it has gotten out of hand and I believe it has not accomplished what you had in mind. Please for the sake of the cause RON PAUL for President, take down the whole thing so these postings do not continue. It will soon be forgotten and forgiven so we can all start from square one to onward and upward. (that sounded like Chutes and Ladders) :):)
Mahalo and many blessings,
cindy
I understand
I understand what you are saying but I think it was something that needed to be said.
gop supportive?
I don't know how supportive the GOP headquarters are to Ron Paul. We just had a straw poll fiasco down in Tampa Bay area..the GOP allowed Mitt Romney supporters (all 20 of them) to stuff the ballot boxes and the chairman even made threats to some of the meet up people who called to question it.Romney ended up winning(he paid for all the tickets that were stuffed in the ballot boxes) when Ron Paul had at least 700 supporters at that straw poll picnic. If the NH gop big wigs cared about all their candidates equally, which they are supposed to do, they would remove their sponsorship from the fox event unless all the candidates were fairly represented. I'm quite sure they could get out of the contract by fox refusing to be "fair and balanced". RON PAUL 2008 Jazzloversinc
This is one of the silliest
This is one of the silliest threads I've read so far.
Who appointed you spokesman for the GOP and the RP campagin
Texas Liberty Lady
You know Jane, I am just sick and tired of your constant back patting and credential spewing. I have lists of misinformation you have put out. You are nothing but a party hack and if anyone on this forum believes the GOP is our friend then we will lose this race.
Just two weeks ago you demanded that people stop making plans to come to Iowa and NH and now grass roots supporters are begging for help.
Before that you demanded that we quit calling the NH GOP to count the straw poll votes in the open - you said the campaign had it under control. We did and they didn't and we lost that vote.
I just talked to some of those exit pollers from the straw poll tonight and they swore that Ron got beat the socks off the other candidates according to the exit polls. Where was the GOP? Where were you? Probably having cocktails with the other party hacks and patting each other on the back. That is only a couple of examples Jane but I'm going to compile them and put them in a post to you.
Now what did you say Jane about there is no reason to believe that the GOP is nothing but fair? What? Say that again.
Am I disgusted - yes - who died and appointed you God. Ron Paul would abhor your attitude - I know because I know him. You are enough to make anyone want to quit coming to this forum. Many have by the way just for that reason. I am calling your bluff on some of the misinformation you have been putting out.
So just QUIT! Oh, and folks the fox news story is something you will not believe!
So by all means run Jane, run!
Corrections - three strikes and you are out.
First of all, I never said people should not COME from Iowa to NH. I said what the campaign said -- they prefer people did NOT do phone banks in NH since the campaign has it covered.
Just passing on the information. If you don't like it, call and complain.
Second, I am not sure which NH straw poll vote we 'lost' because we did not watch it? He won all three major straw polls in NH because the votes were counted properly, the first set by my own organization.
Who is the agent of disinformation here?
Third as for the NH GOP being fair in this Jan 6th issue, yes, I know them WELL and I can't see any reason to make it worse for them while they are working to do their best to get us included. That is what I see, from hearing the voice of the chairman himself.
If you don't like the message, sorry. But don't shoot the messenger. And please, get your facts straight before you start trashing me. I stick my neck out by telling you what the campaign or the GOP has told me and this is the thanks I get for it.
Some of you are just too immature to deal with it and have to be attacking someone, all the time. Since I'd rather not be your whipping post I guess you won't be hearing anything else from me.
Nice try but three strikes and you're out.
PS - There's been no spewing of anything here except to tell people what I was told from the persons I named in order to try to make sense of your collective hysteria. If you don't want to hear the information, here is another great suggestion: don't read my posts.
Pwned
People just hate on Jane cause she's hot.
LOL Chuck
Yes in fact, from being up all night two nights in a row watching people implode, I've gone and caught a sore throat and I am running a fever... Ugh.
We hopefully have a long way to go
Thank you for the message again Jane.
Wow what a mess this was. What can we do to stop this from happening again?
Please do not let posters get you down, what you all need to do if you have not is get an irc channel set up so you can communicate and talk about things going on. That way you can talk about how you feel about these posts and not get so upset. It works for me and my crew, everyone needs to let off steam once in a while :) That is if you do not have an irc channel set up.
We hopefully have a long way to go till Novermber next year, we have to check out attitudes at the door, please do not trash people that are helping out so much like jane.
Shooting the piano player
You know in the old days of the saloons, when a gunfight would break out, the piano player would have to run for cover. Hence the funny plaque we used to have on the wall that said, "Please don't shoot the piano player".
I think we have a similar situation here with folks like the poster above who doesn't know where to direct her anger.
All I have to say to you is please grow up.
I have told everyone what Kent Snyder, Fergus Cullen said to me personally.
Lew Moore's wife Maureen said the same in an email to someone else who kindly posted it here.
The same info is posted on the official website in the form of a press release.
I have even laid out the schedule of the three events for that day, noting that I do not know if he will attend the BRUNCH but that he is INVITED because I had the paper invite. THAT event is put on SOLELY by the NH GOP. It overlaps the second event, but is still doable if he watches his time.
Why in heck would they invite him to that first event if they were trying to leave him out of the 3rd nighttime event? Doesn't make sense.
The fact that some of you could react like this to some anti-Paul blogger who wanted to stir you all up, is amazing to me.

Ron Paul excluded from debate? Not exactly
Candidate claims Fox is afraid of him, but forum canceled
--WND
Here is the link:
http://www.worldnetdaily....
Don't believe it because it was on WND
They just reposted the earlier article. They didn't do any extra fact checking. Wait for updates from the official campaign. Wing Nut Daily has posted some semi-supportive Ron Paul articles but they are generally negative. They are mostly pro-mideast-war, bring on armageddon and the 2nd coming types there.
Fox Forum Cancelled?
This makes no sense. Just two days ago we were calling NH GOP. It was posted for us to STOP CALLING because NH GOP was trying to negotiate to get Ron Paul included..it was said there were scheduling problems. The Official campaign did a press release admitting Ron Paul was , in fact, excluded from the Fox Debate. That was ONLY two days ago..HOW could it have been cancelled 3 weeks ago? Why didn't the NH GOP TELL Jane it had been cancelled rather than demanding we stop calling and they were negotiating? Something is VERY fishy here. RON PAUL 2008 Jazzloversinc
That is the $20 Million
That is the $20 Million dollar question.
More Craziness
1) The supposed NH GOP forum with Fox News is supposedly airing at 8 p.m. on the 6th.
2) www.libertyforum.org states that Ron Paul will make their closing speech on the evening of the 6th.
3) worldnet daily has picked up on the story that there is no forum/debate on the 6th because it was cancelled 3 weeks ago.
Even if there is a forum on the 6th, how can Ron Paul be 2 places at 1 time?
????????????????????
1) 2 times have been posted
1) 2 times have been posted for the forum: 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
2) There is no forum listed on FoxNews broadcasting schedule.
3) Nothing is listed on NH GOP about it.
4) We know there is no audience, but we dont' know if it is live or taped. If taped, we don't know what the real time is.
5) The RP campaign states there is a forum and RP isnt' included.
So, basically, we still know nothing other than there is *probably* a forum and RP isn't invited.
Well not exactly
The thing we know is that there IS a forum, FOX did not want to include RP, and the campaign and GOP are still trying to change that.
Per the GOP Chair.
Contracts
This is the first I've heard about any contract also..but it makes sense there would be one. I am not for letting the NH GOP off the hook either. Nope. Here's the deal. They can excuse themselves from the contract if all of the GOP candidates are not equally represented in the debate. It is the job of the Republican party to make sure all GOP candidates are taken care of. I consider that the NH GOP should remove their sponsorship from the forum. Leggo that ego Fergus Cullem!
Now, I consider the exclusion of Ron Paul to be a benefit actually. If we ..all the meet ups across the country, protest (peacefully of course) our local Fox News outlets on that day, and give a call to the local competition that we are protesting Fox for the exclusion I am quite sure local news channels all over the USA will have a story about it. They would love to dig the competition and I would submit more people will watch their local news than any fox forum. This will garner an amazing amount of free press for Ron Paul. What do you think?? RON PAUL 2008 Jazzloversinc
Did You Not Read My Post?
It seems this is all a miss communication thing. Ron Paul has committed himself as a speaker at the NH Liberty Forum on the 6th, long before this debate/forum of Fox. Look it up at:
http://www.freestateproje...
Scheduling
Yes but that's in the morning. There are 3 events that day:
1 - Brunch is at 11 AM Here is the invite. It is not confirmed that he will try to do this as well as event #2.
http://www.nhlibertycalen...
2 - Closing speaker at Liberty Forum is after 12PM sometime or later if he wants to attend event #1 according to the person doing the scheduling
3 - And this forum he was excluded from was going to be taped and aired later in the afternoon or evening.
I usually post the NH schedule here:
http://www.nhlibertycalen...
Confusion
Ok, let me get this straight. Ron Paul committed to the Liberty Forum to speak on Jan 6th, in what looks like as early as Oct, so when Fox contacted someone in his HQ about the FOX debate/forum, he didn't know if he could work it out, stalled and finally said he couldn't make that date.
Fox originally wanted the 5th, which would have been an open date for Dr. Paul but ABC had that date and wouldn't budge.
Then the announcement of the debate/forum on the 6th was made and Dr. Paul was missing and this whole hub-bub started?
Well, if that was a deliberate effort to get Dr. Paul's supporters rilled up, it worked and Fox is getting a ear full, as well as some of their sponsors.
I waited until we had the report from HQ that it was true ...
Before I forwarded the info to my meet-ups - and e-mailed Marty Ryan at FOX.
Jane, like others have said, please do not quit on us - I know that the term "Dont shoot the messenger" is very relevant right now, and I apologize for ANYONE who would call you names, or have the audacity to claim PMS against you. I'm really shocked at those types of statements, however, WE as the INFORMED RON PAUL SUPPORTERS know that the CLASSIC divide and conquer technique can easily be used by those who are NOT RON PAUL supporters to squash our unity.
We are all here because we stand for individual liberty - lets continue to be vigilant and know that we will be permeated by those who seek to divide us.
Thanks
Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinions, but some of the name calling is shocking.
And many of those are not here in NH, so they don't know what the karma is in this state.
Article about it here...
This article is in line with what I have been saying:
The campaign didn't know about if or why FOX would do it.
Paul is 5th and AHEAD of Thompson in NH polling of GOP households.
The NH GOP is negotiating with them so it's not a done deal.
FOX has the ultimate say (they pay for the production of this)
http://weblogs.baltimores...
Whats up freedom now??
The forum on Jan 6th... IS PLANNED BY FOX... it IS EXCLUDING RON PAUL..
So why do you post those blurps everywhere?? Have you seen the bloody AP article talking about the forum??
Do you see Janes post above???
thanks for clarifying!
Please keep us abridged of these negotiations.

OUTFOXED
Forget the idea of a presidential debate sponsored by the state Republican Party. GOP chairman Fergus Cullen lost a game of debate chicken with WMUR and ABC this month.
Cullen wanted a GOP debate on the Fox network on Sunday, Jan. 6. WMUR and ABC were locked into Saturday, Jan. 5, to host Democrats and Republicans in back-to-back debates. Cullen had to convince candidates to either withdraw from the MUR event, or debate on two out of five days between Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary. MUR had the edge. A Sunday night debate would not give enough damage-control time to candidates who exhibit symptoms of foot-in-mouth disease on national TV.
Cullen threw in the towel last week, saying of the MUR debates, "I suspect they will be the last of the traditional debates with all the candidates."
He still plans a GOP brunch at the Hampshire Hills facility in Milford on Jan. 6, and wants to organize some kind of town-hall forum for candidates able to attend.
This is correct
This is correct because when I talked to someone else in the GOP office on the 18th about the brunch and the money bomb, they still had not set a date for a smaller forum, not a huge debate with all the audience and such.
So the brunch was all set, just not this. And the reason this ended up being a more intimate forum with the candidates questioned by Wallace and no big audience or production was because it was just too much to have the ABC one the night before and then this too.
But I can tell you on the 18th, they told me this was in the making.
I had no reason to think RP would not be included because I have scanned the Brunch invite and he's on it, and no one said he wasn't included because frankly when it was time to invite, FOX did the exclusion. I don't think the GOP knew what hit them.
FREEDOM NOW
Will you stop posting this crap all over the site. You need to get your facts straight
This is DIS-INFORMATION. It is a Round Table Forum not a Debate. Stop mis-leading people. The Nolan Article is Flawed!! Look at the official RP HQ. They are excluded. NOW DELETE THIS POST!!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/a...
Get your facts straight before you post this BS!!!
It has come to this?
I want everyone to please read and take a minute to think about this, what does this have to do with Ron Paul? I know each of you in your own way are supporters of Ron Paul and that it is hard to get back on track when things get thrown off track. Stop, get yourselves something to drink use the bathroom, grab a snack and come back to the computer a new supporter of Ron Paul. Sometimes it just comes down to a decision to get things back on track lets make it together.
After all we are one nation for Ron Paul right!!!!
Thank you
Really Jane?
They "thanked" you for your part in stopping the bombardment?
They didn't know this event was cancelled?
And here's the BEST one..."Please, stop perpetuating the myth that the NH GOP is responsible for, or complicit in this, either by their actions or inactions."
Who's perpetuating myths Jane?
The event was NOT cancelled!
No one is perpetuating myths. Some of us are reporting what we know in earnest, but some other morons are posting information about women's periods, to women whom it does not even apply. :-P
Two weeks ago they did not even have a date for this event which is why some are entertaining the 'created crisis' theory. And the way some people here love to knee-jerk react, they may have been successful.
Totally...
We gotta be cagey... That's how I caught on to the fact that Hood's Dairy is conspiring with Betty Crocker. Every time I eat brownies I need to drink milk, coincidence? I think not. And don't get me started about Garden Gnomes...
No NH GOP forum
http://www.nolanchart.com...
According to this, the NH GOP/FoxNews forum was cancelled 3 weeks ago...
Weird....
???????
I don't necessarily want to
I don't necessarily want to give some blogger loads of traffic, so here's the article:
Topic: Ron Paul
Ron Paul NOT excluded from Fox debate
Some sloppy reporting, instant web indignation, and holiday vacations produced a surge of hysteria that might have been avoided.
by William Westmiller
(Libertarian)
One of the hazards of instant mass communication is that incorrect stories can get distributed immediately. A particular hazard during holiday vacations.
There is NO NH DEBATE on January 6th. Ron Paul was NOT EXCLUDED. That event was canceled three weeks ago.
Ron WILL participate in the January 5th ABC/WMUR GOP debate in New Hampshire.
So, what happened?
Months ago, NH GOP chairman Fergus Cullen had been in touch with FoxNews about a possible forum on January 6th. He had even contacted all the GOP candidates to see whether they were available. However, plans for the ABC debate were finalized with all candidates early in December and Cullen "threw in the towel." See "OUTFOXED" in the NH Union Leader of December 16th.
At that time, Cullen had not received a response from Ron Paul, who had committed to a conflicting luncheon at the Liberty Forum at the same time.
Skip ahead to December 27th, when the Union Leader reported that all candidates had agreed to the ABC/WMUR debate and reporter GARRY RAYNO added a confusing paragraph about Giuliani finally agreeing to the (canceled) January 6th forum, which had already been converted into a simple state GOP brunch.
Due to the timing of this article, there was no way to confirm who will or won't attend the brunch, but it is not a broadcast debate and has nothing to do with FoxNews. Nevertheless, a blog in Washington picked up the story, scrambled it and their "BHDC Staff" reported a list of the candidates who would be attending, which did not include Ron Paul (he hadn't officially confirmed, due to the conflict).
That story was picked up by the AP Newswire, which added some information that it had from a month earlier about the format being discussed.
Finally, the AP article was picked up by Lew Rockwell and passed along to DailyPaul.com, with all the errors intact. Of course, a firestorm ensued on all the Ron Paul nets before the information could be verified. Immediately, thousands of messages went to FoxNews and the NH GOP protesting the exclusion.
Unfortunately, the Ron Paul campaign didn't sort out the facts before sending out a news release blasting Fox for their "outrageous" conduct, even if they did note that the information had not been confirmed. From there, the report spread into dozens of blogs and news commentaries.
An unfortunate false alarm. Lesson: Fast news is sometimes "bad" news. Look before you leap.

Faux News earned it
Most of the crew - Hannity - O'Reilly - Chris Wallace and others have earned the reputation for outright un-called for criticism and disrespect of Ron Paul.
Hopefully they will get a message.
Our error will not harm this campaign. We will just become more vigilant. We have to. Our country is at stake.
Thanks for digging that up jennla
AP bears responsibility for putting it out there and leaving it unchanged, when smaller news agencies had updated the information.
I don't know if it is true
I don't know if it is true or not. Lots of confusion all around,,,,
(and I didn't find the link. it was posted on the ronpaulforums.com)
Jane, you have
Been doing a great job keeping us informed on everything. I always look forward to your comments and respect everything you say and I do believe you deserve more credit and respect than you're getting. Just remember that there will always be people that have to disagree or blame someone so please don't give up. You are doing a great job which I'm sure takes alot of your time and it should be appreciated. We are working for Dr. Paul and we should stick together. Please hang in there.
DO RUN RON!!!!!
Thank you, Jane, you are a
Thank you, Jane, you are a calm in the storm. Remember that there is no such thing as a "typical Ron Paul supporter" so you are going to find the full spectrum of emotional responses here. Name calling fans the flames, try snow. If you have influence with the NH GOP I hope that you can show them how beneficial it will be for them, if they are able to sway Fox to act in a responsible way, by treating Ron Paul with equal time and respect as they have shown any other candidate. The NH GOP will benefit by gaining the respect of thousands of active Republican supporters, instead of alienating those supporters from the GOP. Keep your cool and keep trying!
Very wise
They DO know that to do something silly like excluding Ron from a debate would be a very foolish thing because most of his supporters here are Republicans or people who were once Republicans and have come back. They would not want to do this even if that weren't so. There would be no reason to.
So they are wanting to make this right... In Michigan, the person who was oppositional there went out in public and trashed Ron and stated it, and it was just him, not the whole group. Nothing like that has happened here.
I am just tired of being called names, a liar, etc. when I am just passing on the information as I know it. If you don't believe me there is nothing I can do.
No more attacking the messenger
There will be no more attacking the messenger because the messenger is quitting.
I am no longer going to post info about what is going on in NH and you can all spin around and wonder for yourselves.
If being the messenger and sharing what people have given me the courtesy of knowing is going to cause me to be called 'neocon scum' or have vile jokes about PMS posted to denigrate me by some of you who can't control yourselves, then I think it's time this relationship is over.
And the nerve of you to call ME condescending?
(PS - Anyone stupid enough to think a 60 year old woman still has THAT has gotta be MUCHO ignorant...)
no bashing, no thrashing, no trashing
Jane,
If you took some abuse over trying to keep us informed about this, all I can say is thank you for giving us the best information you had, and for staying on the issue like you did.
I took the bait on that one too and wrote a complaint to Fox (see meetup 309) because it seemed, after talking to Mike, reading the blogs, and seeing your late posting the other night, that it was a done deal.
The fact that you reported it was sufficient for me to take it seriously.
Please don't quit. We don't agree on much of anything but the emotional response from a few ill-mannered people is not that important.
We rely on you.
Sincerely,
Rich Laplante
Thanks Rich
If people still want to hate NH GOP over this, that's fine it's their right. I am simply relaying the info, and I made a judgement on their sincerity to help by the sound of the voice, and that's my opinion and I shouldn't be called names or a liar for just telling you what I was told. It doesn't make sense.
But that's what is happening.
The point is, I can't see trying to hurt the very people who are trying to help us. (FOX is another story -- you can harrass them all you want, they deserve it)
Jane, Far More Of Us
.....appreciate your messages than don't. Please don't quit on us!
It has been a ruff day and now, unfortunately it's the 'witching hour' ....get a good night's sleep, know you are appreciated, and keep us informed. Of all the things you do, right at the top of the list is the relationship you have with the campaign, the workers, and the NH GOP.
And, for anyone who is just now reading this thread understand that there have been a ridiculous number of threads with thoughts, misinformation, confusion and anger all day. Jane has been saying the same things (all sane IMO) all day. She also helps Michael along with others in trying to keep this site relevant not only to 'avid RP supporters' of all ages and backgrounds as well as newcomers and potential voters. To pop in on one thread and read a comment from Jane or anyone else for that matter can give the wrong impression. In this case, if you have not been following the online events all day...you don't understand.
And finally, while I do not know Jane, I am aware that she has been at this over twenty years and in the area she is talking about. I also remember a post months and months ago where she spoke about a meeting in NH?..Iowa?...I don't know, but she was referring to an initial meeting of RP supporters shortly after he announced or was considering announcing. The very first campaign funds were raised there. Jane put that meeting together. None of us were there. She was. Jane deserves our respect and help.
A very unfortunate situtation.
DailyPaul is usually a reasonably civil realm of discourse but the stuff against you was so uncalled for. What happened to the LOVE in the Ron Paul Revolution??
Jane, I hope that in a few days you might reconsider. We need you.
