RP supporters need Credentials ??????
The biggest threat to RP's campaign would be an act of violence initiated by a RP supporter. This , I believe, is what is behind Faux news latest stunt. Any "TRUE" supporter of RP understands the consequences of such an act. So.. to all of you hotheads out there.... "cool your heels!" Your not alone, everyone's pissed off about this, but this is only the beginning, so cool down and listen. We need to out-fox faux and all the other neo-cons.
I'm sure the 'powers that be' have already got their 'fake' RP supporter ready as a back-up in case their 'bait' is not taken by a real supporter. As they've been repeatedly setting the stage with all of their comments like, "wackos, crazies, etc.", it surely seems to be the case. A violent or extremely disruptive demonstration would certainly not hurt the case for their "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act", either. If 'something' doesn't happen at the upcoming faux "Presidential forum", believe me, it's going to happen somewhere else down the line. This brings me to my point. So lets put our brains together......
Maybe we need some kind of credentials to carry, just as the journalists/press carry. If there was an act of violence, we could show our credentials to the press and show them that 'He/They" were not one of us. It's a simple idea, but unfortunately, has a lot of downsides. Two of which, are: credentials can be faked, a 'credentialed' supporter could be a 'plant'. So the only way it would work, is if the credentials were all different in some way and issued/scutinized at a more personal level. Personally, I just want to tatoo "Ron Paul 2008" on my forehead, but my kids won't let me.
Seriously though, there may be a way for this to work.... using RP's message of Big government vs. Small government as a format.
Big gov. = the movement as a whole;
Small gov. = RP meet-up groups. See where I'm going with this?
It doesn't neccessarily have to be a credential, per se, it could also be some type of password that could easily be changed from time to time.
****** all "CONSTRUCTIVE" feedback welcome ****
(note)
Look everybody, I just edited my original post concerning feedback.
Just look above. See what it says?
Now then.... This isn't a debate. It's just an idea to be tossed around. If you don't have any constructive ideas, don't bother posting. Your wasting time that could be spent in helping RP, if that is indeed your intention. Guys like "christopher X" and "coopkabob" (below) are only here because they are bored with pounding their little wieners.
This post originaly started here: http://www.dailypaul.com/...
This idea could be a solution for "covering our butts" in the long road ahead. It is not meant to be a "one size fits all" fix.

credentials...
let's have a national ID card instead...(durrr)
bring lots of cameras
Document everything especially those that appear to be agent provacateur types.
Everything that they have done to try and sabotage Dr. Paul has only blown back in their faces, and so will this.
cameras...great idea
good point
Be alert
I have seen "plants' work, the must effective way to stop them is to denounce them loud and clear for what they are when you realize what they are doing. The "mob" mentality is easy to be managed by people who are trained for that purpose. In large groups always be alert, do not loose control of your emotions and be very suspicious of anyone who appears to be trying to incite violence.
So you want to tell the good guys from the bad guys.
Age old problem.
Simply put, you can't until you have a history to examine. Sometimes the history doesn't have to be very long.
The bad guys, be it misguided / manipulated true supporters, or moles will have to be judged on their acts as individuals. Same for the good guys. Hopefully, when the dust clears, the good guys win.
The opposition will always try and label the individuals doing destructive acts as representative of the group (i.e. typical Ron Paul supporter). It's easier to tarnish than build a reputation. However, the good guys, and Ron Paul specifically, have built a consistent and admirable reputation. You just have to look at Ron Paul's record and the record of achievement from the grassroots troops on the ground to realize, the good guys can win this.
Me, I'm going to concentrate on the good message of Dr. Paul and the Constitution and use my understanding of human nature to continue to "wake up" the walking dead (politically speaking).
Those who choose to play in the mud can do as they wish. If you are being manipulated to do so, you risk becoming identified, and used, as a bad guy. No badge or DNA scan needed.
Let your actions speak for who you really are.

The Dr's prescription: Take the red pill.
WORRY
Mental energy wasted on a problem that hasn't even manifested into the physical realm. Might as well shut the doors , go home. A million things could happen.
Worry ?
You are correct. "A million things could happen". "Anythings possible", also true. David Ickey's belief that there are lizard people is a possibility. The point is, in order to stay out of the 'loony bin' we have to differentiate between, and concentrate on, what is "probable" vs. that which is "NOT probable". If you don't think the establishment is going to start staging shit to dis-credit the Ron Paul movement and to imply that contemplating something, just because it hasn't happened yet, is useless "worrying", then you've been watching to much TV. Your feedback and "coopkabobs" is indeed feedback but not constructive in any way. I'll accept that as my own fault, as I originally only said "give me some feedback!" I'll re-word it. I am not asking for 'positive' feedback only... I'm asking for "constructive" feedback only!
thats bad
that makes as much sense as a national id card. just follow the money anyone who pulls a stunt like that would have to get paid for it or just find out his backround ,chances are he would be related in someway with fox.this whole password thing is childish paranoia. knock it off
Not paranoia
No fool...it's war.
Credentials ??????

Here is my Badge;

Hold them to their oath:
President
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
This poster has an important point...
In the video below agent provocateurs (actually police officers) pose as SPP protester and attempt to incite violence to give the police state a reason to use force and crush those who oppose their rule. The peaceful protesters recognized or rather did not recognize these imposter's and called them out. These provocateurs then retreat into the police line. A few days after the release of this video the local law enforcement agency admitted these agent provocateurs where in fact police assigned to infiltrate the "mob."
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
I saw that video and it was very good
This thread and that video are very important at this time. There are s#$%
disturbers out there who may encourage us to go overboard. Resist it
back away from them. Tell them to go away. Ron Paul is about peace.
Follow his example.
Very good, we need to get educated on what goes on
What else do you have? That guy in the beard is a hero.
It makes the case for taking extra steps to carpool with the local meetups so we have a better chance of identifying the "cops with fake rocks".
I don't Agree
Maybe I am wrong but I don't want to be a sheep anymore. Have faith and just get to know your fellow Ron Paul supporters. We will not leave any infidels in - just be vigilant.
TO: i don't agree
I'm not specifically talking about meetup group 'infiltration' here. I am mostly concerned with the distinct possibility of a 'staged' event and a fast exposal of it. Here's the scenario:
1)Single person or group 'stage' an 'event'
2)Police are called in and Faux or some other news crew immediately start broadcasting the arrest/dispursion of the (fake) Ron Paul 'terrorists'
3)Legitimate (peaceful) supporters approach the press and state " he is not one of us!!"
4)NewsReporter fires back.."yeah.....sure he's not"
5)Legit. supporter says..."if you don't believe us, then ask him/them for their credentials/password!"
6)Situation at this point is not immediately 'diffused' but at least has the proverbial "wrench thrown in the gears" and can be substantiated at a later date.
Yes, or
Cops grab a bad guy along with two or three that get implicated some way but are not bad guys that are standing near, or the fake guy grabs onto an innocent standing near by, or cops have observed bad guy singing, holding onto all the others, etc. Cops take a few good guys with the bad guy and we are roped into defending our own, it is all so confusing, makes all the news, no one cares what is right or wrong, by the time the news gets finished with it, the truth is never brought to light.
There are so many different ways this could go. Prayer, KNOW each other, know that you know, keep up the good work.
to: Yes or
Good scenario.
Concerning your statement, "Cops take a few good guys with the bad guy and we are roped into defending our own..."
All that would have to take place here is for the arrested/detained to start 'comparing notes'.... passwords, credentials, etc. This idea is geared toward being able to "cover our ass".
