Buchanan for VP

Napolitano for VP! Pat would be great for SOS regardless of what his domestic policy views are, his foreign policy views are spot on and in line with Rons.

Buchanan, fairly or not, would have people calling them racist.

He knows a lot of people, both in and out of government, who share his principles. I am sure he can pick a good running mate all by himself.

I'd go for Judge Nepolitano, even if he does work for Fox.

I heard Buchanan on Michael Savage's show a few days ago. They were talking about the Butto thing. Savage went off on Ron Paul because Savage decided not to listen to what Ron Paul was saying. Savage says Pakistan can't handle Democracy... Yea no shit! (Neither can Iraq but for some reason Neo Con's don't see that.) Ron Paul is saying we shouldn't be involved. If we weren't involved they would just have their little dictator. Buchanan didn't do jack shit to help Ron Paul out.

but we'll have to come up with a better salary. Who's creating the ChipIn?

Not sure why we keep seeing these threads, but Pat is too divisive and only cater to real conservative, unlike Ron Paul. If anything we need Walter Williams.

Sorry, but Buchanan has always been a tool and I don't see him improving in the future.

I recall reading that he had been offered the job during the Nixon administration but upon having a dinner with Novak, he thought he did not have the required "tough hide" to politely take the shots - poorly disguised as questions from the press.

Pat Buchanan is much better suited for Secretary of State. He is a true statesman, has experience in previous administrations, understands the politics of different cultures (read his books), and he's respected around the world.

Actually, when you think about it... nobody could be a better Press Secretary than Pat Buchanan... LOL... imagine HIM out there in front of the pressing fending off questions and protecting Ron Paul.... honestly... he would make a great PS...

Buchanan is right on a lot of things but he is a little divisive because on some comments he has made in the past, especially in regards to homosexuals.

I've been saying for months that I'd like to see Paul/Nepolitano ticket. Nepolitano has charisma that Dr. Paul sometimes seems to lack (not a diss -- I love Dr. Paul's straightforwardness, but he can go off on a tangent when he's worked up sometimes). Nepolitano would add that much needed factor into the campaign.

I recall Pat's conversion on the campaign trail in New Hampshire. Seeing first-hand the effects of the Neo-con "Free-Trade NAFTA policy, he reconsidered his FREE-TRADE position and determined that his original position was wrong . It takes a big man to admit that his long held opinion was incorrect. He did not let his ego override intellectual honesty; a rarity these days.

What Pat B. has observed since that campaign, is that as globalists have worked to decrease the importance of borders via the "Globally Managed Trade Agenda in an effort to get closer to a global governance model, they unwittingly released powerful countering forces of ethnicity, religion and race.

Pat seems to be betting that the forces of ethnicity, religion and race, once unrestrained from a common culture, will overwhelm the neo-con force of global government. In Pat's view, those forces could take out not only global governance ( a good) but also a united America ( a bad) . I do not see anything bigoted in that observation.

Paul and Buchanan likely have enough concern over the future of America, that they could work together as Prez and VP. The big question would be how each deals with the moral aspects of the culture. Could Pat agree to leave the states decide rather then the federal gov? My bet is Yes as he is likley to give up a field goal in order to win the game.

I think adding a high profile name like Pat's to the ticket is the way to go. Dr. Paul and him agree on many, many issues. I only wish he would have dropped Dr. Paul's name when he was on Hannity and Colmes the other night.

Should be entertained as VP.I don`t know that he would want the job,but the VP`s job in a constitutional gov`t ain`t that tough.

I don`t really know his political views,but I read his autobiography.I remember he was asked about running for office or accepting a cabinet position a few years back and he responded with"Washington DC is the only city in the world where you can run a mile in any direction and still be at the scene of the crime"...later in the interview he said "Well,you never know,I`m getting older,and the congress and the pentagonare the worlds largest adult daycare centers."

I may not have the quotes exactly right,but damn close.He would be a great VP.

But I would like to see Judge Andrew Napolitano for VP. Judge Napolitano has a fine legal mind and speaks with great clarity and conviction. He would also make a terrific president if, God forbid, anything ever happened to Ron Paul.

A little too much ego for my taste. I don't know how Ron could ever stand him for five minutes. However, he is smart and articulate; but, as one other poster said - there's baggage.

Still, he did win New Hampshire once upon a time.

I just finished reading my fathers copy of A Republic not an Empire. This book was written in 1999. There are many lines that sound just like Ron's speeches. Pat also talked about non-intervention vs. interventonists calling us isolationists. Pat would bring more Republicans into the group!
