Ron Paul on CNN 1/2/2008 - Defends NH GOP
Not only did they talk about how well the fundraising went this quarter, but at the very end, Ron states that the NH GOP (state party) is thinking of WITHDRAWING SUPPORT for this FOX forum on Sunday night if he is not let in.

Ron Paul Day on AJ show
on Alex Jones..GCN.. all 4 channels..ALEX IS FIRED UP for RON PAUL!!!! wow!
Intrigued?
How great would it be if after all the free publicity surrounding his exclusion he comes in a top 3 finish in Iowa (I know I'll be there tonight!). Then Fox is forced to put him on the forum and all the people that are still unfamiliar with him tune in because they were curious on why Fox didn't want him. Those new people could translate into more voters! His exclusion from Fox could be the best thing to happen to him!
Not Defensive
I don't think he was being defensive of the GOP. Rather, I think he was saying that they might do the right thing and pull their support of an unfair event.
You just have to
love Ron Paul.
I think Ron said it best
The fox is in a box
What's this "in the back of
What's this "in the back of the pack" in the polls in Iowa? Isn't he ahead of Guiliani? And what's with making that statement and then not letting Dr. Paul respond to it. Otherwise a strong interview. Blitzer was quite respectful.
This is a gift from Fox to us. Great Oportunity for press!

Tease that question, Wolfie
Tease it.
Blitzer was respectful
.
I happened to catch the live broadcast and I was quite impressed with the respect Blitzer showed Ron Paul. I am, frankly, at a loss to explain it, since previously Blitzer gave short shrift to Ron Paul and his campaign. Not sure what the reason is. He did this before with his "Amazing, amazing numbers!" quote. Either he is now taking RP seriously, warming to his message, or got a phone call to put the gloves on.
Ron was in good form. Looked good, rested and ready for a scrap. I liked his "Fox has boxed themselves in" comment. He can say the most provocative things in a calm and reasonable way. This is about as good a politics gets. Big treat to see, esp Blitzer's change of tone.
That is excellent news. I
That is excellent news. I would hope that all residents of New Hampshire, particularly the Free Staters, would insist on an open platform for all comers. That seems like the price to pay for getting to be first in the nation and a price that is easily paid considering what they get in return. I just wish the other GOP state parties had as much integrity.

"the price to pay"?
RiverRat,
"That seems like the price to pay for getting to be first in the nation"? WTF?
They "get to be first" because they were more willing than anyone else to aggressively push their date ahead against the risk of being perceived as running their primary too early.
The logic that someone owes you something you want because they've earned some benefit of which you are covetous, is very collectivist. For being first in the game, they owe neither you, I, nor Ron Paul anything. You might as well demand the creation of an Early Primary Tax.
The only obligation the NHGOP has to anyone, is to be honest and keep their promises. They should invite Ron Paul because he's a legitimate GOP candidate in New Hampshire, but that is the end of their obligation.
Please dont let the same greedy self-serving loose logic that plagues the other tribes, corrupt our tribe too.

Always has been
Always has been. I've never known the NH GOP to close out anyone.
Now you heard it from the man himself, I hope I can be vindicated from all the abuse I've been taking. But amazingly not one word from the whiners.
Please Don't Take It That Way
If someone has a difference of opinion, you need not take it as "abuse". There are those of us who are more skeptical and who are taking a wait and see stance. If the NH GOP pulls their support or sees to it that he gets an invitation, then this skeptic will admit that you were right all along.
Jane, for those that don't
Jane, for those that don't appreciate your efforts, they're not even worth your consideration. You do an amazing job.
Fox News in a box
Yeah, Fox News has put themselves in a box - a PINE box, to be exact. When RP Finishes in the top 3 or 4 tomorrow (if not at #1), Fox will be eating some SERIOUS crow.
