Buchanan and Tucker optimistic on Paul's chances in Iowa

In this clip of today's show Tucker and Buchanan express their indignance over RP possibly being left out of Fox's 1/6 forum. (Although elsewhere I noted he's included in the one on 1/10 in SC)

Buchanan remarks on the wonderful organization they have with all the people who have come to Iowa to help. Earlier he noted the Huckabee seems to have little organization, which is what I've been saying all along.

Thanks to freedom1776 here is the shortened clip:

To that I'd like to add that Huckabee is showing almost as many ads on CNN and FOX as RP has... WHERE IS HE GETTING THIS MONEY?

HIGHLY suspicious.

Huck probably has no direct mail.

Ron Paul has always relied heavily on direct mail in his congressional campaigns, Huck pulled in $5 million last quarter so he's got enough to have a decent TV ad presence in Iowa. Ron Paul uses radio a lot in NH and I imagine in Iowa too. Then there is the robocaller campaign. I've gotten two of those calls in NH, one by Carol Paul and the other an attack on McCain. I've heard of none for Huckabee who probably has little canvassing either.

Glad to hear about RP troops on the ground

in Iowa. I'm an older guy and seeing the bright young people rallying to support RP is one of the most encouraging things I've seen in politics for the last 40+ years. That they would actually put their feet on the ground and even sign up to participate in the caucus process indicates a determination that I find to be very hopeful. I find an increasing number of young adults who have seen their future, saddled with generations of past overspending at the hands of the conventional political field, and it does seem that they have a grasp on what their future will be like if that huge problem is not realistically addressed. Go RPers!

Ron Paul Exclusion

Tucker said it all. "Keeping Ron Paul off the air is just another way to increase his popularity." I love it!

Go Faux News!

Rockefeller money..

the Huckster is a Rockefella boy just like slick willie- Micheal Collins Piper.. AFP

Buchanan Endorsement

Bionic Ron Paul
Paul has supporters with a lot of different views and Pat Buchanan is unfortunately demonized by alot of people. Perhaps Pat is afraid such an endorsement might be counter productive.

I've been wondering about Huck's money too

How is he running those ads?!

He's banking EVERYTHING on Iowa!

Mitt said this well over a month ago, that of the $5M that Huckabee raised this quarter, it's a "do or die" scenario for him as Iowa (thanks to the Straw Poll) is the only early state he knew he'd have a chance to pick up momentum in for the rest of the primary states.

He's about to find out that not only are his dollars crashing (Thanks Federal Reserve), but so is his campaign!

Huckabee ad pull

I'm surprised that noone in the media is giving the most reasonable analysis of why Huckabee pulled his "negative ad." The guy's campaign, for all the free attention it's been getting, hasn't raised much money at all. Perhaps he just doesn't have the money to actually run the ad with any depth so he holds a self-righteous press conference to announce that after much prayerful deliberation he won't run the negative ad....AND THEN HE ACTUALLY PLAYS THE AD FOR THE PRESS!?! Thus he gets all the pub that the ad would get but for free. Unbelievable.

It's a shame

that Buchanan just doesn't go all the way and endorse Ron Paul.

Give Him a Break

He is doing everything he can to support Ron Paul while still maintaining some objectivity. He feels an official endorsement would damage his ability to act as an unbiased, independent commentator. If he doesn't want to endorse anyone, then he doesn't have to. He shouldn't be bullied into it.

Huh?

I don't remember if he's endorsed primary contenders before, but I do remember in the general elections he endorsed Bush, and Dole before that.

His sister Bay (former US Treasurer and Pat's campaign manager) has endorsed Romney already. I don't know how that might influence Pat, but it's interesting.

If he wanted to endorse Paul, he would have done so by now.

The opposite of freedom is slavery; if I am 99% free, then I am part slave, which is like being "a little bit pregnant." Freedom versus slavery is a zero-sum game.

Go Pat, do it! endorse the best man! Ron Paul!!!!!!

The weak and the strong can not keep the same company!!

They are on the ground there and they know that Ron Paul has got America to see the big picture! He is not telling any lies so that he will become President!

He is a straight talker and one who is only promising freedom!

Please look out for him because there are hundreds of billions of dollars at stake and these devils will try something if he starts to win these states primaries!

God bless all my Ron Paul supporters!!!

America first and then all others follow! We must take care of our own home and stop trying to rule the World!!!!!!

Nice

Good to see some positive chatter about Ron Paul on the OM

Did he just say...?

SIX STATES border Iowa. Now I don't claim to know the rules, but if Buchanan said that on national tv, it would at least be worth investigating. It's not cheating if the other candidates can do that too (you know they will if the rules allow it).
