Final Iowa Poll: Paul has the Big Mo'

Paul is the only candidate to consistently move up in the last four days of the Zogby Iowa tracking poll.
Dec 30: 7%
Dec 31: 7%
Jan 1: 9%
Jan 2: 10%
This is a 4-day moving average - for it to move up Paul must be polling higher than the average each night.
If you think polls are biased, this is still good news - it indicates a strong upward trend in the final days.

But I'm leary of scheduled polls in general because of the human design that goes into them,,,,,,the only ones that make sense to me are the online ones that are opened up to anyone.
polls are meaningless, but trends are huge
this means that in the few polls that do have his name, that some of the hardcore base is finally having an epiphany, excellent news!!

This poll indicates that people are deciding who they are going to vote for.
Ron Paul must have polled at 17% yesterday.
For Ron Paul to move to 10% when the previous numbers were 7%, 7% and 9%
An interesting Note on Zogby
Zogby is that, unlike so many of the MSM pollsters, Zogby is a polling business. He has a vested interest in being the most accurate poll as businesses use Zogby to do marketing related polls. John Zogby is jewish, so likely he is biased against RP, but once the election is done, he will be able to claim that his poll showed the most accurate results just as he could claim after the last elections. On the other hand if he shows RP at an inaccurate 4% like the others and RP wins, then he appears to be no more accurate at polling than his competitors.

is an Arab Christian (Lebanese?).
His brother is James Zogby, with the Arab American Institute (AAI).
I agree that Zogby has more motivation to be accurate because of the nature of his business, but I wonder if he still in some form "answers" to the mainstream/corporate world. That is, if he went too far afield from what they are pushing, they could then effectively boycott his organization (& therefore his business would plummet).
A catch 22, but he still needs to cover himself in the event RP amazes everyone.

I thought I had read recently that John and James were Jewish. And I don't mean to belittle Jews, or that all are against RP. Only that many are, just as many other welfare benificiares would be inclined to be against RP, whether they be individuals, Corporations, or other States. It is no secret that the Jewish (Isreali) lobby is against RP, just as many Pro Zionist Christians are, just as many Corporation's Leaders are, just as many pro socialist individuals are.

Nonsense. Zogby is not biased at all. In fact he's stated on several occasions that Paul will likely come out significantly higher than he's being polled.
He has stated (very likely accurately) that Paul won't win Iowa, but that is far from a biased statement.
Zogboy conducts polls scientifically based on commissions. They don't predict the future or offer any guaranteed insight into the present, but they are clear and consistent and they reveal interesting trends.
Don't always assume that Jews are biased against Ron Paul. Ron Paul has MANY Jewish supporters, especially among Austrian economists, since the science of economics was very popular among Jews (like Ludwig von Mises) in Austria at the turn of the century.

All jews obviously arent biased against RP, but I`d bet the majority are. Especially older jews who think America has to be israels lifeline monetarily and militarily.

People used to bitch about Wolf Blitzer being an AIPAC operative,but those rumors disappeared now that he seems like he really liks Ron. The powers that be would love nothing more than for the movement to segregate itself and divide itself. Jews traditionally were very progressive and politically active, a natural constituency for Ron. So stop the negative stereotyping pleae.

I think the "Jews don't like Ron" meme grows out of the Michael Medved hate campaign.
He spoke at various Jewish events and really slandered Ron, virtually calling him an anti-semite.

Tired of hearing Jews are biased against RP
I have been lurking here daily for months, enjoying the discussion while working hard for Ron Paul. But I've never posted before now. I am Jewish, and most of the Jews I know support Dr. Paul. We know freedom works, and we also know that Israel will be better off without U.S. "aid," because along with the money comes the obligation to do what the U.S. government says. Believe me, Israel knows how to take care of herself and will do better left alone. Private support is always superior to support that comes with strings attached, and many American Jews would send private aid to Israel if they could afford to do so--which they would with lower taxes. But American Jews are Americans first, or we wouldn't be here. Just like everyone else, our dearest wish is to see America returned to the people. Please don't make generalizations on public forums like this--it makes you look racist and reflects badly on Dr. Paul's campaign. Dr. Paul's impeccable moral standards have attracted a lot of people to our cause, and we should set the same example here.

i don't understand all the rhetoric slung at ron paul for showing any amount of prejudice at a particular segment of society. as learned from a post above, i think it would be beneficial for the campaign to highlight that some of the economists he learned from were jewish. imo ron paul is a thinking man's candidate. i don't know why so many turn to main stream media to be force fed the other candidates.

There's a Ron Paul Meet Up in Tel Aviv, a Jews4Ron Paul group and many endorsement from Jewish people... Ron Paul is loved by all... Liberty unites us all... the Constitution protects us all... Zogby's ancestry is rather a guarantee that he will not be deliberately biased towards Paul. Well, I'll give him that benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, if he using past GOP lists as his data base, he cannot avoid such bias.

Pollsters are political hacks
Ha ha ha, add in the margin of error and Paul is well within striking distance. This is so predictable - pollsters keep Ron Paul as far down as possible all the way until the end, but still keep him in the margin of error
so as not to look like total fools later on.

Look!!!!!! Mickey Mouse is at 99.1% and this was done using a proven scientific polling method. Believe me, it is scientific and proven; we know better. Don't ask me who I call and how I select who is chosen, because it is a secret.
