OK Something just does not Jibe

I just came back an hr ago from the Caucus and here is our Caucus location Vote Totals. I think the McCain and Thompson thing is bunk based on our representative example

Here is the total for 7 precincts in Jackson County that participated at my caucus location.

Guliani got 10 vote total
Huckabee got 84 votes total
Hunter Got 4 votes total
Keys got 0
McCain got 18 votes total
Ron Paul got 41 votes total
Romney got 73 votes total
and Thompson got 8 votes total

I recorded each precinct total and called them in. Photos were taken as well and I know at another caucus location in Jackson County, Ron came in 3rd. He was only 8 vote shy of second.
I cant believe our representative example is that different than the rest of the state :(

Anyway - I was just watching Iowa Public Television and the Commentators just destroyed Huckabee saying that he has no support like he had here going forward.

I will tell you this.... you better get ahold of the christian voter because a pastor spoke for huckabee and had a huge turn out.

BTW my precinct smoked the competition
Ron 17
Guliani 2
Huck 2
Hunter 2
McCain 1
Romney 6
Thonpson 1
Keyes 0

So quit freaking out and get out there and share Ron Paul. My precinct had the largest vote total for Ron Paul because that was my direct area of influence.

We need more boots on the ground just talking to people and sharing the videos, thats how my precinct table was filled with over half Ron Paul Supporters. we had 31 attendies for precint 5 and 17 were for our guy. Money is great, handing out flyers is great, but nothing beats face to face heart to heart conversations. We only had 16 supporters up till 5:30. I got the 17th and almost got his wife (hillary supporter) the 18th to come after I read my speach supporting Ron Paul just a half hr before leaving for the Caucus.

Use tonight as a basis to strengthen your resolve and be heartened that this is not the end just the beginning

Your data match Politico

http://www.politico.com/i... now shows Paul in third behind Mitt and Huck at 16.85%, 93 votes in Jackson county with 100% reporting (at 10:02 PST)

and RP smoked them! small

and RP smoked them! small victories...heheheh

Double check

And make sure they REPORTED THE RIGHT VOTE COUNT..

For awhile Guiliani was WAY AHEAD.. then 3000 votes of his DISAPPEARED FROM HIS TOTAL ON T.V.

Please forgive an ignorant Californian

Where's Jackson County? What's the city/town?

And Thanks VERY much for the hard data.

-Bob

Maquoketa Iowa is the city

and we sit on the east central side of the state in the northern half of the bulge.

Thanks

and greetings from San Diego. The weather's better here, but not the people.

I am so glad to see your post - because I think one BIG

message in your post is - WE NEED the Christian vote! I am sick to death of some Ron Paul supporters slamming Christians. Not so much on Daily Paul but, earlier I tuned into a chat room on another Ron Paul site and some were bashing Huckabee supporters for voting for Huck - calling them all sorts of bad names referring to their Christianity. Isn't that just the smartest way to win new voters? :::rolling eyes:::

Thanks for your report. I'm numb tonight. I don't know how to take this all. Hope to feel better after New Hampshire. How many delegates did we get?

Do you KNOW how to become a Delegate for Ron Paul? -- Do it!

thanks for asking

I had another post that sort of hit the ether. I cant speak for the other precincts but we (precinct 5) got 3 out of the 6 available and the other three were Duncan Hunter supporters.
But the neat thing here is that they were all in attendance at my Meetup in December and were very receptive to Ron, so I will be talking with each of them in the next week as the other candidate shake out. I am fairly certain my precinct will be entirely Ron Paul supporters for the County Convention.

CNN reports 86% reported.

CNN reports 86% reported. The 14% remaining is about 16000 votes.

This Could be strange....

http://edition.cnn.com/20...

First, I must say its a battle for Delegates, and some reason ...the web site above is reporting Romney 6 delegates, Huck 3, Rudy 1 and everyone else zero... Bizzare.

Ok you are right, something does not add up on Jackson county. Your 7 precinct results do not look like the final results..... Look here
http://www.politico.com/i...

It has these posted results.

Romney 210
Huck 129
Dr. Paul 93
McCain 57
Thompson 40

Thank you for all that you have done!

You are right it is the face to face encounters that matter most.
I agree with you about the christian vote too, we have got to do more about the pastors....I posted a couple of weeks ago about the man behind the surge for Huckabee. This man is Rick Scarborough with Vision America and his 'ministry' is to target all the pastors of churches and get them 'educate' them on who best represents value voters, i.e. Huck.

We need to target this man and his organization and ask for him to re-consider his position of support of Huckabee. With alot of christians calling him and emailing him he just might send out word to pastors that Paul is also a good candidate to support.

It is worth a try.

Well, boots on the ground were largely absent in Iowa.

Talking to some kids on the phone out there canvassing. Actually, they only had enough canvassers for a minority of the counties.

I think the problem was, the money came in late, and Iowa is a big state, and all of this came together late in the game.

All told, I think 10% is a respectable showing, esp. taking into account the media blackout and the high proportion of evangelicals.

I heard on the radio that Dr. Paul did win a majority of the votes among the younger Republican caucus goers. Would like to see this in black and white, actually.

It would be interesting to break down the results by precincts where we had boots on the ground and where we didn't.

Will there be a hard count?

I know people were asked to go out and verify what the actual numbers were. Did this happen? When will we know the real count, hand counted and verified. It seamed strange to me that Thompson who has been asleep even beat Rudy. Thanks to all of he volunteers and staff. Lets keep our nose to the grind-stone.

You can get the hard count right now "LIVE" at Liberty broadcast

here is the link and all is not LOST...we still have a good chance at 3rd!

Possible vote fraud

RSK See Chris Bollyn (Google) and John Kerry's win in Iowa 2004 ( he came from 5th place). In 2004, the company who tabulated the vote total via touch tone telephone, is Voxeo who is owned by an Isralie defense firm. In the general election, the votes will be collected mostly by Diebold Corp. machines and counted by the Voter News Service. VNS is owned by the 5 major TV networks , including Fox. They forbid/restrict any independent citizenry oversight during the tabulating process. Aside from exclusively using paper ballots with independent citizenry and media oversight, an honest and accurate vote count is not possible. Aside from ardent Paul supporters at each precinct tabulating exit votes with signatures via petition or even better A Commercial Truth Affidavit which is considered a legal document, there is no possible way of ensuring an honest and accurate vote count.

I am feeling much better now

Dude,
You really lifted my mood up. I was so angry looking at that CSpan2 broadcast. Is that how they conduct caucus? Handing out voting slips without any accounting? And then slips being collected without ensuring that if that same person has already put his slip or submitting 2 slips or not? Seriously, this process is no way sacred as much as i thought it should be. Then to top it off the counting is done by candidate reps...give me a break!!!! The caucus is organized by a Rudy rep.!!! And then the candidate who is thus elected decides as to how much I pay as tax, soc sec., and if I and my family pay for war or not!

Before I become angry again ...

thank you for your post!

Hooray for Jackson County!

I unfortunately saw some not-so-good results read out live on CSPAN2. :-( There is great variation by county. I'm wondering if we can corrolate vote results with our Meetup numbers or donor density in IA...

Go to Libertybroadcastnetwork.org/votetotals.aspx

It looks like Ron Paul did really well in Jefferson County(looks like he won some precincts) and they won't report it! It's part of the 14% they won't report! What is up with this?

Updated info - Jackson County

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/...

Jackson County
Candidate Votes % of votes
Mitt Romney 210 38%
Mike Huckabee 129 23%
Ron Paul 93 17%
John McCain 57 10%
Fred Thompson 40 7%
Rudy Giuliani 17 3%
Duncan Hunter 6 1%

100% Reporting from MSNBC

Your numbers don't match politico.com's for Jackson Co.

Something doesn't look jive,
if you go to http://www.politico.com/i...,

they show different numbers for Jackson county

Giuliani 17 3%
Huckabee 129 23%
Hunter 6 1%
McCain 57 10%
Paul 93 17%
Romney 210 38%
Thompson 40 7%

Those numbers

reflect the Maquoketa Middle School caucus location not Jackson County as a whole. There are several Caucus locations around the county. those numbers represent Precinct 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 out of a total of 16 precincts.

Now this is interresting because my live numbers are different

Go to this page
http://www.ronpaulforpres...
right above the Ron Paul TV, they have a link to live numbers. This opens up a map and when you look at JACKSON COUNTY they are reporting the numbers are:
Guliani 17 votes
Huckabee 129
Hunter 6
Mc Cain 57
Paul 93
Romney 210
Thompson 40

Why the differences?

the only difference

is the order they list in.

As much as their support for Huckabee irks me...

.....I support their right to speak out for any candidate they wish REGARDLESS if it's in a church.

Those election laws/tax-exempt 501c3 rules and regulations are COMMUNIST !!!!

Churches SHOULD speak the truth. We just need to educate the churches by showering them with slim-jims every Sunday and Wednesdays.

This is really much more encouraging to hear. Kinda like, the rest of the story....
