Feeling Down About Ia? Read This!!!

Great post from RonPaulForums.com

http://www.ronpaulforums....

"Never before in the history of politics has this ever been done, and Ivy league political science classes will probably be studying what we're doing today for the next 20 years, so lets give them something to read about. At the beginning of the chapter entitled "The Internet, Politics, and the 21st Century" I want the first paragraph to be about what we have done and how we have done it.

So lets not morn what happened in Iowa tonight, instead lets be thankful to God for leading us to the first step and for giving us a wakeup call saying "This is it, this is what you say you've been waiting for all of these years, you gonna get up and do something about it or you gonna just watch from the sidelines?" I want all of us tomorrow to examine 1 question, "Am I doing everything that I can do to win this election?" From now on don't work like its Ron Paul running in this election, work like its YOU who's running in this election."

Actually, it turned out about how I had expected

Ron Paul placed 5th in the straw poll this summer. It seemed that he moved up slightly from there percentage-wise. Third, fourth, and fifth places were also close. Of course, I was hoping for a surprise like everyone else here, but as has been pointed out here before, Iowa Republicans have a poor record of voting for the eventual nominee.

This is great!

January 03,2008.
"A people can move through the ages, and not disrupt time. A single man can take this movement of people and change history" Saul4Paul on Ron Paul, the coming civil war.

Under 1% in July

10% in January.

Dr. Paul's support does not fluctuate. It moves steadily upward.

We want it more than they do.

Agreed- Dr. Paul is right on the issues

He understands that at 9 trillion dollars in debt, we can no longer afford a federal government with so many programs - we can only afford what is absolutely necessary. We cannot afford our current foreign policy, in terms of money or our perception around the world.

He's the only logical choice. If we don't do everything we can, we won't be able to live with ourselves.

Yes, when the going gets tough...

Yes

Let's double and triple our efforts. Take action. Introduce everyone you can to Ron Paul and ask them to get involved and spread the word. We have to treat this as if our lives are on the line. Give everything this month leading up to Super Tuesday. Get involved with every single grassroots effort that you can. Go, go, go, go, go!

I dunno why people are

I dunno why people are buggin out. Ron Paul did well.

Summer Soldiers and Sunshine Patriots.

Read Thomas Paine's first "Crisis Paper" especially the first paragraph.

The one's who are "bugging out" thought they were jumping on a bandwagon, not signing up for a long-haul fight.

To be honest, they weren't the kind you want in the foxhole with you anyway.

Also read the book 1776 about when the real GW, the General George Washington, had to rally the troops who were about to head home instead of fighting the British Empire.

i'm hopeful

After looking at the precinct breakdowns on www.politico.com I'm excited. We beat everyone at least once. The race is very dynamic... lots of change between winners in each county. (Go to the politico main page and click on "detailed results." Then slide the cursor over each precinct to get the voter breakdown.)

another thing to look forward to is the all out mud-slinging war that's about to break out between Romney and Huckabee. I don't know about you, but I'll be pulling up a lawn chair and cracking open a cold one for this baby.

After the dust settles, the field will be leveled for Ron Paul to make a big move. But in the meantime, we need to hunker down and bust some serious ass. This is not going to come easy, but it is ours if we want it bad enough.

KEEP ON SOLDIERS. REDOUBLE YOUR EFFORTS.

right on

Now go get some shut eye and hit it hard in the morning. Hit it hard. Get that material out, out, out. Challenge. See if you can disperse all of your material, except your 8 or 10 signs that you are putting out for the Sign Bomb on Jan 8, in one day. Report back tomorrow if you succeeded. All the material you have - out in one day. Increase the knowledge of Ron Paul as fast as we can. If any material is in any buildings around this country, it is getting wasted. It needs to be out.

I agree

Great Post! Very inspirational!

WE DID NOT FAIL!!!!!!!!!!

Is the glass half empty or half full??
Only ***3%**** from third place - 1,500 people??? and thats bad??

Consider this - only a MERE MONTH AGO Ron Paul was polled at 3% and now he is double-digits at 10% in one of the MOST CONSERVATIVE states in the nation.... did anyone really TRULY expect any better?
I am HAPPY AS HELL he hit 10% and the demographics of IOWA were totally against Ron Paul as posted elsewhere.

Ron Paul pulled in 29% of independents... And alot of Democrats that like him had to vote for THEIR candidates... it is also do or die for them and their candidates and alot of democrats support Ron Paul but I am sure felt compelled to cast their vote on the democratic side, it is a very TIGHT TOUGH RACE ON THEIR SIDE ALSO...

Ron Paul is right up there and doing well.... KEEP IN MIND HIS SUPPORT IS GROWING EACH DAY... WE JUST KEEP PLUGGIN AWAY... I never expected him to pull in greater than 3rd and he is right there bubbling under third place... its not like he was 6 or 7%... NH is so close now we can concentrate 100% ON NH....

lets go and give them HELL... folks in NH....

Best post of

the night.
