Thoughts on a world following President PaulSubmitted by Rogerstigers on Fri, 01/27/2012 - 17:53
As I have been explaining Ron Paul's ideas to people, many have asked how things like social safety nets, farming (Monsanto), and medical care would work in a Ron Paul styled world. The following is what I have crafted as a response. Sharing here for review, tweaking, and correcting.
This philosophy behind the Ron Paul campaign is self-proving. You cannot rely on others to do your work for you. In this case none of the MSM is telling voters anything of worth. So as a community of individuals, we have taken it into our own hands and are making it happen. This is the example we should set in every matter.
Communities are what help us function as a society, not tyrants and kings. If my neighbor is sick and cannot work, it is in my best interest to offer some food and assistance to them so they can get better thus keeping their job and house. I don't need the government to do that for me or force me to do that for them.
The same philosophy works on just about everything from employment to then environment. You want Monsanto's franken foods out of your body? Organize your community to make a neighborhood farm. Want safe medicines that aren't outrageously priced? Well, this is more complicated, but it would help to have more apothecaries out there and better education about the medicines that are made directly out of natural plants, etc.
This is what it will take to live in a world of liberty. It means every one of us is an activist who is willing to stand up for our rights and work for our needs. It means we can no longer be distracted over petty squabbles or waste our days goofing off with video games and Reality TV.
It means we have to grow up.
This is a good thing, though.. In just one generation, we can change our image WORLD WIDE from fat, lazy, and arrogant to fit, industrious, and gracious.
None of this will happen, though, unless we can shut down the tyranny in our Federal Government.
