Ron Paul Should Threaten An Independent Run Solely Because of the Fox News Exclusion
Ron Paul needs to use this opportunity to catapolt a possible run as an independent.
He should announce to everyone that it was the choice of Fox News to shrink the Republican Party, not his choice.
If he is excluded from debating with Republicans he could say they forced his hand because of his overwhelming supporter amoung the masses.
What do you all think?

Let's Win For Freedom
3rd party
maryj
A 3rd party run is harder to get press coverage than the 2 main party's.
I know I ran as a 3rd party candidate. And as the man in Canada said
so well in Alex Jones excellent movie "ENDGAME" In the United States you have ONE political party with TWO names and the same corporate people finance and run both party's so at the end of the election no matter who wins they win.
And those that have done the research know that the real name of the ONE political party that has two names is the "C.F.R".
We should all be prepared to draft Ron Paul for a 3rd party run but keep it under wraps until the main stream and the republican's themselves are so obnoxious that we decide It is time. Maybe In Feb,. and maybe it will be months away, and Paul with our enthusiastic help may do so well that we won't need a third party run (by taking over the republicans party (((don't laugh I think we are in the process now)) now!! ).
We can use the education that we all are gaining right now (as we are currently working for him) so be prepared for that option.
Right now we need to educate and recruite as many as we can to Dr. Ron Paul so that our army swells so large and powerful that we become the largest force in the republican party. We can and as the young lady in one of the Paul videos says's so well "we can if we believe we can" (I am sure she read that in "Think and Grow Rich") and make no mistake about it, WE ARE THE PEOPLE AND WE CAN DOMINATE THIS PARTY AND THIS ELECTION BY DOING EVERYTHING POSITIVE FOR OUR MAN EVERY DAY BETTER THAN THE DAY BEFORE!!!
Bad idea
Ron Paul is increasingly gaining in the polls slowly but surely as a Republican. Threatening to go Independant is actually a strong bargaining chip if this thing goes to convention as he could actually win if done at the right time.
He knows what he's doing.
Money Bomb Jan 6th...
Lets show another protest against Fox News by making Jan 6th a MONEY BOMB day....
we were looking for a good excuse to have another.... what a better day to push Ron up with another cool Million or So...
This is a pretty awesome
This is a pretty awesome idea.
"Fine, if Paul can't participate in your forum, we'll go raise a bunch of money and steal news coverage from your little charade"
I like it.
Sadly, it's a bit too late to organize. Maybe a mini-bomb could be hustled together.

Not a good idea.
This is not a good idea. Why should we concede control of the Republican Party to Fox News?
Fox is just a company. They can broadcast what they please (the First Amendment), and we can say why people should dismiss Fox as biased.
Fox isn't the Republican Party, and it doesn't have any official capacity in the party. The Republican Party consists of whoever joins it, participates in it, and votes in its primaries and caucuses. Let's make sure that's us! Then we will be the Republican Party.
I only said he should threaten it.
Ron Paul 2008, Join or Die!
DONT TREAD ON ME
AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN - WASHINGTON'S CRUISERS
Right now it's Fox screwing with us, not the GOP.
The NH GOP is trying to get RP in the "forum". The national GOP of course is full of shit. But for now we should focus on the bad guy screwing with us right now which is Fox.
If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, I will leave the party and end up becoming a Libertarian or something else. I've been a member since I was 18. So it isn't like I was a recent convert to the party. I've watched them on this slide toward globalist Fascism and I don't like it.
If Paul doesn't get the nomination because the GOP screws him over in some BS way when it was obvious he was going to get the nomination then I think he should run 3rd party. I really wouldn't put it past the GOP to try to do anything they need to do to keep Paul from winning the nomination. I'd back Paul 110% then even if it meant a Democrat becomes the President. I hate the Dems. Their commies. But this would FORCE the GOP to re-examine itself. It got a wake up call in 2006 which so far it has ignored.
Too early... Paul is shrewd... he'll wait for the opportune time
For now we must campaign our hearts out to get Ron Paul the nomination, but if the bid fails, we must lobby hard for him to run as a third party candidate. It doesn't matter if he only gets 20% of the vote. It could be the beginning of a third party that will hold the balance of power. That is the beauty of a third party and why the two-party system can't stand it. The Constitution Party could become that party and we will have our way without ever having to rely on more than 20% to 25% of the voters support. In a way, the Religious Right is an unofficial third party. They hold a Value Voters debate and they want candidates to come there and expose their souls and self-righteousness to them as a litmus test. Think about it.
Not such a good idea
I don't think this is that great of an idea since the NH GOP is threatining to pull out sponsorship if they exclude him. The party (at least in NH) is going to bat for him. It would be a kick in the nards to threaten such things at this time.
Campaign as a republican
all summer long.RP will probably do well enough in the primaries to finance a nationwide campaign right to the RNC convention in September.
THEN threaten a third party run,right now a 3rd party would be seen as a spoiler,next fall...who knows...a 3rd party may WIN
I've flirted with similar
I've flirted with similar thoughts. I think it's a horrible idea, but I see where you're coming from. Republicans who hate Paul always talk about how he's going to "pull a Perot" and run under a third party, which they (rightfully) fear would hand the election to the Democrat.
My feeling is that the RINOs should be driven to extinction, because they are no longer Republicans. Rather than whimpering about their imminent demise, they should read a little history, figure out that they have been infiltrated by communist influences, then GET BEHIND PAUL, for crying out loud!
But it would be disastrous for Paul to announce such a thing, because then the GOP could justify dismissing him completely. Still, part of me is hoping that if we reach a point where the nomination is impossible, he should go third party, if for no other reason than to smack some sense into the GOP. Every time they stray from a small-government platform, a third party spoiler should crack the whip on them. The Democrats certainly aren't going to do it.
Ron Paul or a Democrat. Those are our options for the next president. Period.

What if every Ron Paul
What if every Ron Paul supporter wrote to the republican party telling them they would quit the party after Super Duper Tuesday if the Doctor is not included in this debate. The party has the obligation and the responsibility to see to it that the doctor is included in the debate.
I am going to leave if Paul doesn't get the nomination
I've been a Republican ever since I was 18 when I first registered to vote. If Paul does not get the nomination I will be leaving and going to either the Libertarian party or the Constitution party. The Republicans don't even know what they stand for anymore. The Democrat party is gone. Their full on Socialists now. The Republicans are starting to become Fascists. Both party's are becoming globalists. Sorry I'm not willing to give up my God given, constitutionally protected rights to a UN style government. Fuck that.
I fully plan to re-register
I fully plan to re-register as a Libertarian for the general election, make no mistake. The point is to support the best candidate the Libertarian Party never had... Ron Paul.
Right on
It is definitely time to play hardball. I cant believe that this has not been done behind the scenes already. The republican party is just as responsible for this debacle. All the candidates in the party deserve a fair chance. If Paul runs as a independent it would definitely hurt the republicans chances of keeping the white house. It is unfair that it has come to this but all is fair in politics and Paul is going have to fight if we are are to climb back into this thing.
