I have seen a documentary on fraudulent politics in The Ivory Coast, and those people were only able to have their voices heard because millions of them gathered in a peaceful march. We all know that no matter how hard we work and no matter how many supporters we gain, we will probably be cheated or manipulated out of both the GOP nomination and the Presidency. To plan a march of millions of people into Washington DC will take time and strategy. Now is definitely not too early to start. We should create a website, choose a date for the march, and get people to sign up to attend in the event we don't win. I am not the most skilled at doing this--we need a marketing expert like Trevor. Trevor is welcome to be the one, but he can't do everything, so if anyone else wants to pipe up I'd love for us to get started on this.

How about a Memorial Day march?
This would be a perfect way to honor those who gave their lives for our freedom. During this holiday weekend, there will be many people visiting the graves of deceased military family members in the DC area who will be very receptive to Ron Paul's position on the Iraq War. The march could be planned and coordinated with this in mind.
With 70% of the American public opposed to the war, we should be able to attract at least a million voters to march on Washington DC at this time. The theme could be "Support Our Troops - Vote Ron Paul for President!" to emphasize the fact that Congressman Paul receives more support from active and retired military personnel than any other presidential candidate. He also has the distinction of being the only one committed to bringing our troops home when he becomes President, and not in 5 to 100 years.
Let's call it the "Surge for Liberty"

I was watching a speech of Dr. King...
at the National Mall yesterday and thought the same thing. I wasn't really thinking on the vote manipulation issue, but as a showing that no matter what happens in the primaries and elections that Dr. Paul's message has reached out to us and united us, and we will sit by no longer and let this country be run by a government that no longer cares about freedom and liberty, but only cares about power, control and it's own self interests. If it was planned for the summer and a date picked soon, I think we could get some really huge numbers, I know I would figure out a way to make it.

July 4th is an idea day
How could it not be on any other day thean independence day. I have grown up in the DC area, and I agree, it is a mad house. However, what is the point of the march? to not get any attention, to not have may supporters, to not promote our independence? NO!
We are fighting for our independence! These are not just words. Read them again. WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR INDEPENDENCE! In crowds all over dc numbering in the 1000's we will be able to recruit supporters. If some one is willing to pack them selves in to DC on the 4th, they may care about their independence too.
We need to March, but not just in July. We need to march as much as possible. We need to BUS people in, We need to start now, and not end then. I admit, I am not the most fluid writer; however, I strongly believe a mass march is vital to our cause.
General path as followes: ASsemble on the park where rt 66 empties into DC. MArch pass the federal reserve, the white house, and end at the capital.
Final thought... I am not french and I do not respect the coutnry of france. The french do not enstill me with vigor or motivate me to take action. So, I do not think "bastille day" is a good day. I am american. Not Republican, not democrat, not libertarian, not independent. I am an american, and I already have an independence day. July 4th. Independence day. Let us make it happen.

Really I do, and I'm not french either. I'm also not british, and we fought for our very independence from them, but Nov. 5th was chosen and folks rallied because of the idea of 11/5, not because of Guy Fawkes or their feelings about parliament.
That's why I thought about and am promoting Bastille Day - because it's time we independent and loyal Americans took back our power in the same kind of demonstration. Not in tribute to france, but as a way to show the folks in DC the resolve of the freedom r3VOLution.
With all due respect, we will be lost on 7/4 between the thousands of fireworks watchers, concert goers, and staged events like the reading of the Declaration in front of the Archives (do they still do that?) If we got any media coverage I'm guessing we'd hear spin about how a few of us were there to march and most were just there already for other events.
I'm willing to pick a different date if someone has a better one, but I sincerely believe July 4, despite the natural attraction it holds, is not the best.

July 14th is a Monday. I realize it means taking time off work for many of those marching, but it also means that many in Gov't offices and buildings like the Fed will be at work and can see all 12 of us spammers march by. ;-)
Can't think of a better way to spend a couple vacation days -- making this kind of statement to the folks in DC and the corp. media while also meeting up with so many other lovers of liberty.
Maybe we can get the Limo to lead the march, and of course the blimp if it's still flying then!

Nov. 5th is the day after the general election, is close to the holidays and more difficult for folks to budget in terms of time off and travel expenditures. I like the symbolic idea, and that's why I am promoting July 14th, Bastille Day, the date the French stormed the Bastille to launch the French revolution.
Since summer in DC is warm and it isn't Nov. 5, instead of "V" outfits, maybe we should all get t-shirts that say "I am Ron Paul".

I think a march is in order ESPECIALLY if and when Ron Paul becomes the next president!
The country needs to know that there is a force united us across all boundaries and lines and divisions that the old Establishment has perpetuated in order to conquer us. We need a show of support on the largest scale possible!
Aaron Russo once had a vision that millions of freedom fighters would just one day decide to shut down and not go to work or whatever and gather in largest groups possible and just make the statement saying "We're here! We know what's going on and we're not going to take it anymore!!! Won't you join us?"

Liberty Amendment
Read what somebody said about the liberty amendment below (Here's the website: Liberty. Whatever the date, we should try to kill two birds with one stone, figuratively speaking, by aiming to get a million signatures in support of this bill.
I'm all for a march on Washington. It would have tremendous impact and it would show the diversity of people who support Dr Paul and who care about Liberty as well as showing the numbers who are willing to stand up in its defense.
I'm a freelance web designer, by the way, so if someone starts putting this stuff together in a concerted way and comes up with a date and so on then I'm happy to lend a hand.

As someone who has been in DC on Independence Day I can tell you that it is the wrong day for a march. The city gets completely overrun with tourists etc for the fireworks and other related events and hotels are booked and full months in advance.There isn't enough room for the all people who are there for Independence Day much less an unrelated political march.
Bastille Day is a much better choice! Good thinking on your part...:-)

that Ron Paul will win the hearts of the people. He will win. It does not matter if he wins or loses the Republican primary. He will have to keep going afterwards because he simply will not be able to stand by and watch the country go down, especially since he knows that the bulk of his support will come from the 70% of the population that is anti-war - a large proportion of which are likely not registered Republicans.
I am personally of the opinion that Ron Paul would pick up a record number of votes in a general election. If the economy collapses by October as European banks are predicting I see over 70% of the vote going his way. Add in Al Gore (or even Kucinich) to the ticket and I see 90% of the vote.
What if the vote is rigged? That cant stop a revolution. All it takes is some far sighted individuals to order a few million little red plastic tokens and set up an informal voting process at every voting spot - Ron Paul supporters take a token on the way in, put it in the box when they walk out the other end if they voted for Ron Paul. Irregularities in that count would blow the whole Diebold nonsense out of the water. Hell give Bev Harris some tokens and she will organise it all.
Dr Paul views Ghandi as one of his heroes. If substantial support was there at the end and if it were certain that the vote was rigged, I believe that all it would take is one speech by Ron Paul to bring the country to its knees. Massive civil disobedience until the president agreed for the elections to be repeated using paper ballots in full sight of the public. And the people would do it after all the trauma of the last two elections. History would know it as the day America stood still. Within a week the president would crack. They would have no choice.
Ron Paul is the next president of the United States. Just play your part in history and dont worry about how it will happen, because that is an inevitability.

I am a firm believer of the law of attraction, have read "The Secret" as well as many other books on the subject, and agree that negativity and doubts in people's mind are the ONLY thing that will cause this campaign to fail. I firmly believe RP will be our next president, unlike the author of this thread. However with regard to plans for a march, you have to look at the bigger picture. People are going to be considering the possibility of escalated action by the establishment against RP no matter what, and not enough people are aware of the law of attraction. They will be "creating by default" with their negative thoughts. Therefore, we need to find a way to get those people to change their minds and firmly believe that no harm can come to him and that he WILL be elected. How do we do that? By setting up a march! If people sign up believing they are keeping the establishment in check by doing so, they WILL be kept in check because the negativity and doubt held by those people will be replaced by firm belief! THAT is the way the law of attraction can be used to our advantage, and there is documented proof that the larger the group is holding a particular belief, the more powerful the attraction. We need to not just boost the size of the positive message we are sending, but reduce the size of the negative as well.
Here's an example:
1. Voter fraud is a distinct possibility in this election because of our current situation and past experiences. People discuss it and are concerned, causing bad feelings and drawing the problem closer.
2. Individuals set up "Operation Vote Watch" for the primaries, convincing people to change their minds and believe that we will prevent the fraud and succeed.
3. That firm belief draws the idea of a fair vote and ultimately results in one, provided enough people firmly hold that belief and not a negative one.
That is why RP will take 1st in NH, because all the supporters set up a system beforehand that kept the establishment in check, and everyone believes it will work, thus making it so. That is why setting up a march designed to keep the establishment in check, will in fact keep them in check.
The law of attraction works every time, without fail. You have to ask yourself this question: Is it easier to educate people on the law of attraction, or can we just change their minds and get them to think positive?
You should dig a little deeper than "The Secret". Good starting point, but the rabbit hole goes a LOT deeper...

I think you're misunderstanding the idea of negative thoughts. Negative thoughts are goal avoidant. For example, if it was someone's goal to suppress the masses, and they accomplished that goal.. it would be positive in terms of accomplishing a set goal.
This poster wants to march on Washington. He's not being avoidant, he's being firm in his belief. Therefore the negative thought comment doesn't really apply. One could argue that this premise is actually built on the idea of avoidant behavior, but I would have to disagree.
I'm with you on visualization. I've spent most of my adult life learning and applying the principles.

Trouble with 11/5 is that it is the day after election day. It's important to get the media coverage before then, and November means lots of folks have committed their days off and budget to Thanksgiving travel, so we'd have a harder time getting a few million folks to come out - plus it's cold.
I'm still saying Bastille Day (7/14) is a good target date. Where do we end the march and organize the rally? On the mall right across Constitution Ave. from the Federal Reserve sounds like a winner to me, or maybe around the Washington monument so we can be seen from the White House.

I think it will most likely take something like this to rescue the Constitution. The trouble is, most Americans really do think you're crazy when you say that Congress is almost entirely made up of oath violators. It would require a massive education effort to make enough people see the truth, by pointing out what the Constitution says, then detailing point by point how Congress disobeys it. Then would be the time to organize something like MLK did, to demand that our servant government begin obeying the sovereign citizen leadership. A perfect vehicle for change would be the Liberty Amendment, because it already has some momentum. If we could organize a million people to march on Washington to draw attention to that amendment, we might force some real change. It would have to be no less than 1 million people though, or it wouldn't be as powerful. The media couldn't ignore it, and neither could Congress or the president.

I've been thinking of that as well. However, I think it should be organized around the 5th of November! Declare that the rally will be the consequences of the establishment's future actions against Ron Paul, whatever they may be. I've been toying with this idea in my head as well, and believe that it is the only way to PREVENT them from taking action against him! Think of it this way:
We all know the burger builders are discussing options on how to eliminate RP from the race, be it through voter fraud, or god forbid assassination. In order for them to exercise these options, they need to believe we won't revolt and overthrow the entire government, because then we would force out ALL the bad eggs and they would have NO control over our national policy makers, which would be worse than if just Ron Paul came to office. If we petition the nation to march on Washington if further action on their part is taken against RP, this would put them in check.
What does everyone think? Let's expand on this idea...
How about we draft up a document
Like our founding fathers did ---------------- The declaration of Independence!! We put our liberty theme in there. Heck the campaign could make a piece on this. Remember the contract with America. If we had a foundational document for our cause I think it would be something we could rally around. During the march we could deliver it to the White House and to Capitol Hill.
