GREAT Clip!!!

I actually recall seeing this clip. It was around then that I had a "D.A.R.E. to keep the CIA off drugs" sticker on my bumper. Amazing to me, as a partisan Libertarian back then and now as a Republican, how the establishment got away with both drug-smuggling AND painting us Libertarians as "pro-drugs." But, as we've seen, intellectual dishonesty is timeless...
JMR

When was that last week lol

Give me Liberty or Give me death

Banking schemes

It's interesting he mentions the various money schemes that international bankers are up to. That's a whole complex field that I'm trying to learn more about. Something tells me Bono is the perfect banker puppet though.

Wow, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow... you can count on

Ron Paul. It's a shame that he was so right then too and no one seemed to listen. I sure hope enough people hear this message now.

Such an incredible man.

Thanks for this post

All the reasons why I love this man. Integrity, intelligence, principle, consistency.

Thank you!

Boy, what I wouldn't give to have a $2.6 trillion national debt!

The world would have been a much better place if we as a nation had listened to Ron Paul in 1988. The longer we put off the day of reckoning, the dearer the price that will have to be paid if we don't listen to Ron Paul.

Everyone Needs To See This

Not only is his consistency amazing, he sounds like a durn prophet given that this was 20 years ago. What a sell-in video for his character, intellect, and ability to see the consequences of flawed actions.

Watching this and the Bill Moyer interview is fascinating. And, I believe that both in the Moyer interview and in his recent speech at the veteran's rally, Dr. Paul looked and sounded Presidential 100%. He is for real....what a difference that makes.

And he is right.....

National debt including unfunded liabilites gowing forward $76 TRILLION
The dollar is dying through inflation of the money supply ($100/barrel oil and $5.00/gallon of milk)
Future economic disaster is unfolding today
OTC (over the counter) derivatives contracts wiht a "notional" value of $623 TRILLION dollars (the ponzi scheme that is bond speculation)
Etc. Etc. Etc.

For God and Country!

Great video,

Great video, thanks.

The opposite of freedom is slavery; if I am 99% free, then I am part slave, which is like being "a little bit pregnant." Freedom versus slavery is a zero-sum game.

The message is still the same but

I have to say the delivery was much better in this interview than it is in most of the interviews I've seen RP give in his current campaign. He clearly stated his arguments and then moved on; no stammering or jumping from one topic to another. There have been some threads here about how RP needs to improve his delivery in debates and interviews. If he showed the same form today he did in this interview 20 years ago, his message would be easier to digest, especially for people who are hearing him for the first time.

umm he's 20 years older now give him a break

How many 72 year olds do you know that are doing and saying what Ron Paul is? He ran for President for 20 years ago and didn't get elected.

The time is ripe for change now. That is the difference.

I think he is absolutely amazing then and now.

besides it's also what makes

besides it's also what makes him endearing to some. I have read other posts who have said he should reform his speeches but I think it's very unrealistic like blakmira says he's 72. He IS amazing, the time is ripe, and those who are turned off by his more unpolished message wouldn't know Jesus ( or insert any other divine presence) if he walked up to them. Let's face it that's what we're here for as grass roots people to fill in the blanks and promote RP

I agree

Yes, I like the way he really identifies in this talk how all of the welfare really goes to the wealthy. He could spend more time on that. BUT, now he has a more humble, likable presence. He has faced 20 more years of abuse and scorn in congress and that may have made him less sure of himself in this type of forum. He is still very confident in what he believes but his delivery is a much more humble one. And, yes, he's 72 and being run ragged. When I am worn out I can't think straight.

Healthnuttie for Ron Paul

I'm only in my 30's, and

I'm only in my 30's, and I've noticed it's easy to get tripped up, just cause I'm thinking about so much stuff all the time. I agree that Paul's tongue was quicker 20 years ago, but the accumulated wisdom from the last 20 years is there and will be very valuable in the presidency.
