Fox News Boycott and the Broader Revolution
Submitted by humanic on Sun, 01/06/2008 - 02:46
I am all for boycotting Fox New's sponsors. I found two separate lists of sponsors, and after watching Fox for a little while I noticed ads for companies that were not listed on one or both. As a result, I've kept Fox News on all day and I've been writing down product names and googling the parent companies. So, below is a list of many of the major advertisers if anyone is interested, with products/brands/subsidiaries that I saw advertised in brackets.

In fact, while we are on the subject, I am all for the permanent boycotting any and all corporations cannibalizing us in this country (and I don't think I'm alone on this), especially the large, criminal corporate banks. We absolutely must start taking serious action beyond just getting our man into the white house. The swell of grassroots support surrounding Ron Paul shows that there is a sizable bloc of American's who do still pay attention, who do still care, and who can still get mobilized. It is absolutely imperative that we build on this and maintain solidarity regardless of whether or not Dr. Paul is elected. If he is, it will be a testament to the power we wield when we come together. But, it will also mean more desperate measures by those who have worked against our liberty, against our sovereignty as a nation, and against our constitution for so long. If we lose this election, it will make our job that much more challenging and thus our solidarity that much more vital. This fight doesn't even remotely end with these primaries or the election in November. No matter what the outcome is, "The Establishment" does not disappear.
"The rest of the world has known for some time that it is pointless to oppose this Empire either militarily or electorally. They haven't the resources for the former and are legally barred from the latter. I think it's time the American people adopted the same philosophy." "We will change nothing until we change the way that money works... Every vote may not be counted but every dollar always is." --Michael Ruppert

Please read that article (and as many other articles as you can from that site!). We all need to learn that this is the truth. There is a reason Dr. Paul is so adamant about economic issues. Money is power. We have seen this throughout the campaign so far: the record breaking fund-raiser that made it impossible to write Ron Paul off, the News Corp stock dump, and now the boycotting Fox's Sponsors.
We need to learn that we can and must fight using economic means going forward. The Ron Paul Revolution needs to really be simply The Revolution, which began when we rallied around Ron Paul. I am so inspired and motivated by my fellow Ron Paul supporters, but I sincerely believe that if we do not keep things in perspective like this we set ourselves up for either a movement-crushing disappointment if Dr. Paul loses what we already know to be a rigged, uphill battle, or a dangerous lethargy if he wins. Simply put: We must all commit ourselves to The Revolution and acknowledge that this campaign is only the beginning, win or lose.

Buy Local. Bank Local. United We Stand.

How stupid!
You're going to boycott the news company that gives the most coverage and interviews to Dr. Paul and the most commentators and reporters that share his limited government philosophy.
Why don't you boycott one that gives him the least coverage?

FoxNewsBoycott.com Launched Anew
I just launched an all new FoxNewsBoycott.com. I would appreciate an updated list of Fox News sponsors.

I am not questioning the accuracy of your facts..I simply think that all these boycotts hurt more than help...All the employees and all the stockholders of the companies we are trying to hurt are unlikely to vote for Dr Paul..I have 2 neighbors who I have almost convince to vote for Paul and I hope they don't get wind that we are boycotting Burger King, which employees them....LOL..Not to mention each time I respond I bump up your post..It's the timing of all this that concerns me, the major primaries are at hand..
A valid opinion. The
A valid opinion. The boycott isn't my idea though, and it is endorsed by Kent Snyder in the article "Paul Campaign Manager Urges Boycott of Fox News Sponsors". If you don't want to boycott immediately, we can at least write to express our disinclination to buy their products if they continue to support a network that is violating their obligations to the public. Either way, my call for boycotting any and all criminal corporations and banks does not discriminate based on which of them affect the Paul campaign, but rather which of them negatively affect us all as Americans.
GREAT POST
THANKS!!! Everyone should go to the link you posted about the Big Banks. Tomorrow my husband and I are switching our personal AND business accounts to a local bank. MAybe post a separate shorter forum topic so that everyone reads it
pajeff...you are mistaken NOT a troll... a patriot
Thank you for the kind
Thank you for the kind words, and glad to hear you guys are switching banks! Everyone should download the video "A Vote That Counts" from http://www.solari.com/banks/, watch it, and pass it on. Let's take this country back.
Ron Paul Yellow Pages
For those the are supporters of RonPaul, spend our money amongst ourselves, so we may stay strong and grow.
It would be great if someone
It would be great if someone could come up with an automated webform tool allowing people to fill in their personal information and then send automatically to a list of appropriate advertisers.
Then to just print out the list and defend liberty and democracy by refusing to spend a single penny on any of their products or services.
Hardly a tragic inconvenience, it seems, when compared to the need to defend our democracy. WTF kind of 3rd world nation is this country right about now, anyway...????
TROLL
this guy has been here 6 hours and a lot of these companies have deep roots in New Hampshire..This post was deleted once already tonight
???
Everyone can find Fox sponsors on their own. I am sure that many of these exist in NH. I am writing 4 a day. Just do it. Look up the sponsors for yourself.
What?
pajeff2: Turn on Fox News and watch the commercials and check them against my list. You'll find most if not all of them on there. As I said, I kept it on in the background today and wrote down all of the products I saw advertised and googled their parent companies to make that list. I'm not a "troll", I don't live in New Hampshire, and I don't know which of those companies have "deep roots" in NH. I've been coming to this site for a while now, I just didn't have anything to post until now, so I hadn't registered.
Amen. Very well put. Hope
Amen. Very well put.
Hope you'll send this to one of the boycott websites. foxnewsboycott.com doesn't seem to have an email address listed.
We can hopefully get organized there for the masses and then start proliferating the information.
I am printing this list to have handy and will indeed be voting with my wallet.
Good idea. I may have to
Good idea. I may have to try sending it to skinthefox.com. The list on that site is from 2005, and it seems to be quite outdated. I'll probably watch a little more first and see if I missed any sponsors.
Definitely do it...
Definitely do it... Thanks.
