There Is No Second Candidate To Go To After Dr. Paul
Thompson, McCain and the Huck are all connected to the CFR. Rudy is a big Liberal and Romney can change on a dime to bend with the wind on his positions.
Dr. Ron Paul is our only help. God has the control of the hearts of the people. We need to pray for our country or this will be the downfall of the United States Of America. IMO

If you believe somebody is evil you can not vote for them...
The word evil is thrown around too easily these days... I fear it is a habit of our religious friends made permissable by our glorious leader GWB.
In choosing an alternate to Dr. Paul, I would do what I have always done. I would look at the issue that are important to me. I would select the candidate that is on the ballot that most closely fits my issues.
It is not the lesser of two evils. The evil if it exist is in the conplacency and complicity of our fellow citizens in allowing unqualified candidates to be foisted upon us by the government, corporate and media elites.
I wish I knew how to cast them out. But, the truth of the matter is there is no dishonor in choosing the candidte that will do the least damage.
Ron Paul for President - Hope for America
On a side note - is it to self-deprecating to say that I believe that the "baby boomer" generation is by far the worst generation of citizens that this country has ever had.
Could Rand Paul
be Vice President to his Dad? I doubt it would happen (the vp spot for Rand) but I was more wondering about the legality of it.
The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny. James Madison
GOP
Let's make sure all of our neocon friends know that if Ron Paul doesn't win the Rep nomination, that's when we'll hear Ross Perot's 'giant sucking sound'.
It will be all of the passion and life and money leaving the GOP to follow Ron Paul.
THERE IS NO WAY THE GOP WILL WIN IN 08 IF RP IS NOT THE NOMINEE.

The whole lesser evil
The whole lesser evil question is interesting, as Devon brought up below. You should never vote for anyone you're not comfortable voting for just to vote against the other candidate. I think that is the most important thing. But if you can vote for a candidate in good conscience, by all means do so. Is that a "lesser evil"? I suppose, but you could also call it "less than perfect," as we all are. What matters is not voting for PURE EVIL, those candidates with no redeeming qualities whatsoever (e.g., Giuliani, Clinton, etc.).
Another point I like to make is that you should always vote, even if you write in your own name, because you want to reduce the winning percentage. Otherwise, the evil winners will keep claiming a mandate, even with their bare majority wins.
Always vote; never vote for evil.

I will write in Ron Paul
IF he does not get the GOP nod (and that's a BIG if!)
Let's Reign! (Rev. 5:10)
Don't squabble over nit picks
Ron's doing OK. These guys are killing each other, and none of them have the base support to raise the money like Ron Pual to hang in there till the end............Ron's messege doesn't change........and once people hear it " a couple of times " it starts sinking in. All the clowns on the Fox forum tonight were reading out of the same script. But how Un-American is it to exclude Ron Paul? Murdoch is a creep, and so are all his punk lackeys.
your right there spending like crazy
They will all start taking campaign matching funds Romney will look bad if he takes a hand out from the government He didn't give his campaign the money he lent his campaign the money So its a debt that has to be paid back. When his money starts to run out he might put 1 or 2 million of his own money .But no more, he's not stupid he won't give his own money ... and what this will prove is somene who spends his money wisely will win
Give me Liberty or Give me death
Incorrect
Voting for the lesser evil is just giving in. If we have to then we fight to get Paul in office, we all pray that that will not be necessary as I am sure our founding fathers wished were the case. If our choice is fighting of slavery.
I choose fighting.
Live free or die, there is no lesser of two evils.
Giving in?
How so? I view Paul as the lesser evil and am voting for him. Why does that make me "giving in?"
Vote for evil?!
The lesser of two evils is still evil.
Just write-in your vote for Ron Paul if it comes to that, which it won't...because you're going to tell everyone you know to vote for Ron Paul, and they will tell everyone they know...it's exponential :)
Ron Paul isn't perfect either
No one is pure. You're always going to be voting for a lesser evil.
As close to perfect as you will find
You will never find another Ron Paul in your lifetime. A politician with character, intelligence, and loyalty to the constitution is very rare indeed. Enjoy the moment because this is the calm before the storm. Ron Paul would never be considered the lesser of two evils.
hmmmm
affirmation: President Paul 2008
By agreeing, I mean that there is NO ONE else to vote for!!
AGREE
affirmation: President Paul 2008
The more I learn, the more I read, the more I research, I totally agree.
Pray for Dr. Paul's safety and well-being; he is incredibly courageous..........I love this guy:)
Vote for the lesser evil
It's better to vote for the lesser evil than not vote at all. Otherwise, you're going to end up with a more evil president than a less evil president. It's rational to vote for the lesser evil.
If you think...
That Ron Paul has an evil bone in his body, you, Devon, are satanic! C'mon...Where's your head....POP! Oh...There it is! I don't view anything about Ron Paul or his campaign as "evil". Get a clue!
Always
vote after careful consideration of the consecuences. I will either vote for the one who best represents my believes, or I will not vote at all.
Better completely "wasted" than little evil
No!
It't better to "waste" your vote by voting for some third party candidate who shares your values. That way you have done your duty at the ballot and you can have good conscience.
It is totally meaningless to calculate any form av "tactics" with your single vote. Just do the math, and you will see! Voting is about choosing what you believe in, without considering tactics.
Btw, if Ron Paul isn't nominated, I hope the Huckster is. For sure he would bring horrendous humiliation to the GOP which would make way for the necessary changes. But of course no one should vote for him for that reason.
Sure
Sure, but I was talking about if you don't like anybody that's running. In that case, it's still best to vote for someone you don't like as long as their the most likeable. I agree with you about Huckabee.
Evil comes by degrees?
Mike Stahl
I don't think there will be anyone worth voting for
at the top of the Republican or Democratic tickets UNLESS Schlafly ends up being right and no other candidate can get a majority and they choose Paul by draft. That having been said, I will write him in anyway or I will hope that he will run as a Constitutionalist and vote for him that way. But I am not voting for anyone else because everyone else (but Duncan Hunter) is a pawn of the CFR and I refuse to vote for such schlock.
We need to start WINNING!
Ron Paul came in 5th place in Iowa. I suppose that that should have been expected from the straw poll results. It also showed that although Romney could buy votes for the straw poll, he couldn't buy the caucus. This at least gives me some hope.
A third-place finish (as being predicted now) in New Hampshire simply won't do. The only way to win is to win. We need wins (as in first-place in total number of votes). If we don't start piling on the wins, this movement will be nothing more than a footnote in future revisionist history books. Not only must we win New Hampshire, but also Michigan, South Carolina, Nevada, and Florida and every other state as well. Coming in second or third will get us no where.
If Americans want change, why do we continue to vote for the same people? It is preposterous to think that any of the other candidates running represent any kind of change (except maybe a change from bad to worse). This country needs change and it needs the kind of change that Ron Paul represents. I know that I'm "preaching to the choir" here, but if Joe and Jane Six-pack can't be convinced of this, then all hope is lost.
Personally, I'm sick and tired of extremely wealthy people "running" this country. I don't wish any ill-will on Romney and his ilk, but how can such a person even begin to understand how the average person lives? I'm also tired of religious nut-jobs that seem to exclaim, "Vote for me, I'm a Christian. If you don't vote for me, you're all going to hell!" I am also weary of socialists like Obama, Edwards, and Clinton with their whole we're-going-to-take-things-from-you-for-the-common-good approach to solving perceived problems. Why must our choice always be between Karl Marx and Fred Phelps?
If you think things are bad now, just wait until 2012 with one of these people as head of state. How much worse can things get before the majority actually vote for change? I really hope that we don't get to find out.
There is question as to what place Ron Paul placed in Iowa
I hope we know before the day ends.
Only one candidate to vote for
That is why my husband and I will write in Ron Paul's name because we have to stand up for what's right, regardless of the outcome of the election.
Many of our friends who are RP supporters will do the same. Do it in lieu of not voting, even if only to send a message to Dr. Paul thanking him for running.
It's kind of interesting that
a lot of the people on Daily Paul seem to ascribe to the theory that the 3rd party candidates shouldn't really matter. Isn't it one of Doctor Paul's big gripes that there is so much bias against them? Think how much of an impact all of the RP supporters could have if we all united behind one of the 3rd parties. Just look at the libertarian party; you know there is a reason why the media always calls him a libertarian...because he shares almost all of their positions. I mean obviously we wouldn't win, but it could bring the Libertarian Party one step closer to gaining mainstream acceptance...their membership roles were up something like 20% last year, and imagine how much of a boost we could give them for future elections. And it really is honestly the only place we're going to find a candidate with values even close to those of RP.
I voted for Badnarik in
I voted for Badnarik in 2004, and I agree with almost 100% of the LP platform. I actually agree more with the LP platform than I do Dr. Paul's. But I would rather write in Ron Paul than vote for an LP candidate that is on the ballot. That is because Ron Paul has been tested through 10 terms in congress, and he has not lost his soul. I don't know of anybody else to do that. So I'll take the 85% or so I agree with Ron Paul, and count on his integrity. This is a once in a century chance to vote for someone like this, so I will definitely vote for him no matter what. The LP will field a candidate every four years that I'll probably vote for every time, but this opportunity is very singular.
The LP has invited him to run...
Should he not secure the Rep. nomination on sup. tuesday. The LP convention is on memorial day weekend-I hope He does it. Check this out at www.LP.org
That would help greatly with ballot access.
Bty, you CAN be a LP member and a registered democrat or republican...
The 06 LP platform looks like what the RNC platform should be, honestly, lots o' sense there.
Mike Stahl
be here now
Let's just work with what we've got now - the best and biggest pro-liberty candidate in a long, long time. What Dr. Paul will endorse or what the whole movement will create is yet to be seen. We are real and there's a lot of us. Be here now and work hard.
Write in..
I agree 100% I will write in Ron Pauls name I don't care if the ballot says "Easter Bunny" I will bring a Sharpee and write in his name, or vandalize a DieBold Machine and write Ron Paul on it....
I've never believe in the "lesser of two evils" mentality or the "throwing your vote away".. I think it's that kind of thinking that's put us up the creek. I am a firm believe in voting for who you believe in and not who think is going to win...

I will too.
I will also write his name in if he doesn't get the nomination. The man stood by himself in the halls of congress for 20 years fighting for us all by himself. It's the least we could do.

If our hero doesn't win the GOP nomination
Intensify our comittments to a third party option. Whether RP wins the nomination or not--maybe even ESPECIALLY if he wins--he is going to need a Congress which he can work with. He will also need much more support in the States and local government,
Educational institutions and foundations (such as the Mises Institute (Mises.org), Future of Freeedom Foundation (fff.org), International Society for Indivdual Liberty (isil.org), Second Amendment Foundation, the John Birch Society, American National Union, and Foundation for Economic Education (fee.org), and the Randolph Bourne Institute (antiwar.com). All of these, along with the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party, will be indispensible to continue the Ron Paul revolution, whether he wins the Republican nod or not.
A so-called third party is no longer just a "protest vote". The total isolation of Ron Paul in this year's campaign --with the full support of the lamestream media--is telling us something. The Democrats and Republicans are the disease, not the cure, for what is destroying our economy and our society. It is the most Pro-American act, if you vote at all, to campaign and vote for your ideals, not between tweedledumb and tweedledumber!
Continue to educate yourself and like minded Americans. Declare your independence of the media who in any event are too beholden to the Empire, and neither understand nor sympathize with the America Ron Paul, and the rest of us love!
He can't (and shouldn't) do this alone. The above is a list of my favorites, but it is an incomplete list. By all means find patriotic, libertarian, "paleoconservative" and Constitutionalist organizations, issue groups, and advocacy organizations you are comfortable with, and continue the Ron Paul Revolution from there!
PEACE AND FREEDOM!!
David K. Meller
It's important the GOP loses the election
if Ron Paul is not nominated. Only this can force them to reevaluate their opinions.
It doesn't really matter who
It doesn't really matter who wins if it isn't Dr. Paul, but I think the Republicans will definitely go down in flames. Every other candidate is just a different degree of evil.
Write In
I'll have to see what my options are... I won't vote for Edwards, McCain, Richardson, Clinton, Obama, Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, Bloomberg, and certainly not for that slimy bastard Huckabee.
I'll probably just write in Ron Paul or vote for the Libertarian candidate - if he or she is decent enough.
I Agree
Same for me
The republican party is finished
The republican party is finished if they don't nominate Ron Paul. I think they would lose every state. Ron Paul brings in the young and independents to offset the neo con filth. They will leave in heart beat if he is not nominated. Actually, I think the neo con objective all along was to destroy the repbulican party. After all they were former democrats.
I'll write RP in if....
he doesn't get the Republicrat nomination..
Me too!
That's been my backup plan if he doesn't get the nomination and doesn't run as a 3rd party.
Don't Forget The Dems
If Ron doesn't get the republican nomination then the democratic candidate is virtually guaranteed to win.
Rudy and Romney are also
Rudy and Romney are also CFR. Even more disgusting Rudy's law firm represents Cintra, the firm set to build the Trans-Texas Corridor.
America's Mayor?? America's Traitor is more accurate.
If Ron Paul does not win the nomination : Do Not Vote
Simple as that
Ron Paul's Revolution Plan B : Do not vote
Vote - write in Dr. Paul if he does not win the Republicn
We have the start of a grass root party that can be the future for this country. We are not small here, there are millions who stand with us.
can they steal that write-in vote?
can they?
I will vote for Ron Paul only PERIOD
even if I have to write his name in
No, if Ron Paul doesn't win
No, if Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination there is a potential third-party option. If not, then vote for a third-party candidate whose platform in similar to RP's. Most likely that would be the LP or CP candidate.
That could be a good option, a protest vote [3rd party]
Ron Paul's Revolution Plan B !
islamofascist...
I would like to add real quick the term Islamofacist, never in my live have I heard such an Orwellian Newspeak term for a made up enemy...
Let us understand the nature of Fascism one must have a controlling government in order to push forth fascism, Terrorism is a real threat and it always has been and it always will be. So long as there are desperate angry people out there in the world there is going to be a few radicals of every ideology that will take extreme measure including violence and suicide.
Terrorism and Fascism are TWO separate entities, You would need a ruling government in order to have fascism, look at the Nazi's or Mussolini, you cannot instill fascism if you are living in a cave making propaganda videos telling people to go blow up and kill people...
People need to learn about language and words and what they mean, The islamofascist threat is a Newspeak term for Emanuel Goldstein and Doctor paul hit the nail on the head that what is going on right now is the fact the entire nations are being called "Terrorist" countries when in fact they are not. Bush declared the Iranian Military Guard as "Terrorist" How by definition can a national military be declared a terrorist? .
I am afraid, really afraid and I am sick of all this military propaganda. Look I am a veteran I served in the U.S. Army and I am sick and tired of pretending like I have to be all up in arms about what is going on in the world and that somehow we have to blindly follow what is going on otherwise we are "unpatriotic"...
The entire Middle East has hand numerous strikes agaisnt it more than anyone else in the entire world, The U.S has more weapons of mass destruction than any other nation, we have more chemical and biological agents, we've had more wars in the last century than anyone else, I ask you who is a the fascist? I am not saying WE the Americans are, I am saying the Neo-Con movement that the groups working with them are pushing a American Imperialists Fascist state where policy is going to be agree with us or we bomb you..
Did anyone catch this last night? Mitt Romney admitted the prime objective of the Neo-Con movement when he said "America is the ONLY world power, I want America to continue to be the ONLY American power, I.E. American Imperialism.. We are the modern Rome and so long as we continue to ideology then terrorism and war is only going to become more and more .I pray that everyone else will wake up to this...

David F

thank you
David, thanks for your message, and pointing out the improper use of words, such as Islamofascist. When I hear from veterans I am especially moved.

I would rather vote for any of the Dems over the other Repubs
If Ron Paul does not get the nom.. I will vote for a Dem.. I refuse to vote for a party that will take us one more step towards a nucluar war... The other republicans are all vile in my opinion.. I dont want to make that choice so Ron Paul.. Fight hard!
Any vote you cast for any
Any vote you cast for any one of the Dems is just like voting for any one of the Reps THEY ARE ALL THE SAME Write in Dr Paul or at least vote for a third party. By voting for any Rep or Dem you will be contributing to the problem instead of helping fix it. We NEED Dr Paul to win or at the very least have a third party to choose that may actually be in line with our ideals. Neither party really stands for what most of us believe in. They just say they do to get elected to feed their own egos, greed and lust for power.
