Student Questioner Tasered at John Kerry Forum
What country is this again?
Yes the guy is annoying. But as Tucker notes toward the end - "All those tough guys standing over him, like 19 cops and policewomen standing over him couldn't get the cuffs on him? So they had to hit him with the taser gun?" Good point. Is this the kind of intolerant society we are now? Toe the narrow line, or get tasered and thrown in jail.
But by the end of this little segment, Tucker and the other guy are joking and laughing about something else. Everything is just entertainment.
The Founders of this country must be rolling over in their graves.

FREEDOM..NOT IF WE DON'T ELECT SOMEONE WITH INTELLIGENTS
This is an outrage!!!! How can those people just sit there and not help this guy?..FREEDOM..well you could have fooled me. And resisting arrest the guy actually said if you listen close enough..."let me go and I'll walk out of here"!! And Kerry...yeah what a stand up guy he is... to sit there and continue to talk as if nothing were going on while this guy who did nothing wrong is yelling, being forced to the ground, tasered, hand cuffed and arrested. And for what asking a question that was "too difficult for Kerry to answer". What has happened to this country?? This kind of abuse to our citizens can not be allowed... and if we continue to sit back and do nothing then it will continue to get worse!!
First they came for the
First they came for the communists,
and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists,
and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews,
and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me -
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
This is but a taste
of what we will get if Giuliani wins.
Everyone seems to forget his Crackdon on crime in New York.

"The white cop dragged the black suspect to the bathroom. He crammed a plunger handle into his rectum. He slammed it into his mouth, severely enough to break teeth. Meanwhile, the cop spoke about, of all things, politics. "This is Giuliani time," the victim remembers the cop saying, "not Dinkins time."
So What's New? Alex Jones arrested for questioning Bush
Aw, now, this is no different from when Alex Jones asked his fellow Bonesman (then gubernor of Texas) a similar tough question at a public forum around ten years ago. Watch the video:

CNN editing
The kid may have been a little overbearing, but it was just a couple questions and they started closing in on him early on. What happened to the good old days of one or two officers being able to handle situations without tasering?????
Anyway, CNN said to go to thier website to see the events unfold and they edited out a nice chunk of the questioning...

Well said, bro.
I can't add much to this. What an awful thing.

REMOVED?TASERED?ARRESTED?
FREE??? How does this make us free??? The police can come in and take you out of an auditorium for asking a question that is "too difficult to answer".
the full story
When you watch the full video, you see him several times tell the people he was not done, they kept telling him to stop and he kept going. He didn't even leave enough time for Kerry to answer any of his question. That is why he was escorted out, but as soon as he started to fight the police, they had to use force against him.
Had to use force?
I don't know what YOU saw, but I saw a half dozen cops on top of him, tasering him instead of dragging him out of there. Dragging him out of there would have been force. Tasering him while he's screaming: "Don't taser me, man!" is just excessive. Come on.

Arrest?
Should being slightly obnoxious warrant arrest? The guy wasn't being THAT obnoxious. Right away, they were ready to cuff him and stuff him.
Why are they clapping?
In the full vid when the guy is first being "escorted" away from the mike, people start clapping. What the hell is that? Ok, so the guy was asking questions that maybe Kerry didn't like, and maybe Kerry supporters wouldn't like but then they all clap when he's being thugged away? WTF?
The dumbing of America
Unfortunately, people are more worried about their new text message phone, their new tattoo, and what's on the boob tube, to know what is really going on. This site is a refreshing change as most are much more informed. I hope the rest wake up soon. I know Ron and many of us are doing our part. They clap because they are brainwashed! The guy could have been a little calmer, but the result was uncalled for and purely Communistic.

police action
Did you notice how the police made the decision to interfere once and then the second time removing the young man. Kerry did not ask for him to be removed. The real question was the young man was implying that the voting machines were rigged. That is what should have this nation in arms, our votes are meaningless. What use is an election if the votes don't count. Why are we willing to vote on election day, if we know it is all a shame? We have seen it over and over again even with the straw polls. What will it take for us to get a honest election?
Police state USA: Student assaulted and tasered by police
http://www.newstarget.com...
"One more thing worth remembering here: In a police state society, the state must, from time to time, remind the citizens who's in charge. This incident serves as a powerful reminder to those who might dare to exercise their Free Speech rights and ask tough questions of Senators or Presidents: Those who refuse to follow the propaganda will be assaulted and arrested!
The wild popularity of this video on YouTube only serves to remind millions of viewers of what might happen to them if they, too, decide to speak out and actually tell the truth at a public gathering.
Remember, the first rule of tyranny is that you've got to stop people from speaking the truth. The second rule is to punish anyone who dares to speak the truth, and the third rule is to make sure the people don't help each other resist false authority.
You saw all three rules played in in today's YouTube video. Watch it again at: http://youtube.com/watch?...
Thankfully, we're not yet in a full-on police state, or else you wouldn't be able to read this article. We still have some time to reverse this situation and take back our freedoms. I encourage you to do so in every non-violent way possible. Speak out! Protest! Tell the truth in an auditorium! Refuse to remain silent. Refuse to submit to fear and false authority.
Remember: The only way to protect Free Speech is to exercise it. Use it or lose it."
Don't taser me, Bro
Bush tried to make "Let's Roll" into our battle cry. "Don't taser me, Bro" sounds more apt.

I wouldn't know how to stop this kind of police activity/brutality.
They are as an invadng army. The only way to stop them would be to treat them as such.
But we can not organize that way. Not enough people support us.
It was interesting that the kid was yelling for help. No one there came to his resue. They dare not. People had to act as if it wasn't happening. He was on his own.
What?
What's everyone so upset about? I didn't see anything because whoever was video taping it couldn't seem to hold their camera steady for 5 sec. The audio part of it didn't sound as if the guy was having any fun, but there's not much in the way of evidence as far as the video goes.
Did planes really hit the twin towers?
Kerry allowed it
.
Whatever respect I had for John Kerry vanished when he stood by while the guy was abused. As one of the other posters said, Kerry might have either called out to the cops to stop, or jumped from the stage to intercede. He did neither. What a wuss.
easy thier kiddies
the guy had a valid question, kerries goons called in the cops, the guy resisted.pushed and then tried to evade.... He gets a few months in jail. Next time he should plan it better. Like ask a question, while the police are haulinghim away, a friend of his asked more hard questions, when tha guy gets hauled away, another friend ask a tougher question. Moderation, peace, love and a complete frontal attack on everyone that despises this country....

After all....
...we are a pro-torture state now.
The taser is now used as an obedience training device. How many times have you seen a victom with several cops holding him down while another tasers him shouting, "stop resisting", when the victom can't even move.
A pro-torture police state, yep that's what we've got.
We have lost so much. How badly do we need Ron Paul. He will lead us to freedom. It's time to step up to the next level.
not saying this is OK
and there were a million ways that could have turned out better.
But when cops are trying to subdue you ... Instead of yelling "what did I do, what did I do!" and resisting - save it for someone who makes decisions - cops don't make decisions under such circumstances - they enforce until there is peace and then they'll listen. The kid should have just shut up, stayed cool, and saved it for later. Hopefully he can sue the officers now for their poor judgment.
now if they were trying to kill him, i'd say fight for your life, but clearly they just wanted the microphone - right or wrong.
The problem we need to
The problem we need to address though, is that if police cannot be held immediately accountable for false arrest, if you have to wait until you go before a judge to be vindicated, then the police can freely break up any peaceful protest, any exercise of free speech because they claim to be detaining someone for "disturbing the peace" and thus achieve the goals of those sending them in to do their dirty work. Something must be done to keep the police in check, otherwise our rights have little meaning.
too true
too true. and i don't know what to do about it. we live in a police state.
They had to charge him with resisting, at least
It was on video tape. If they didn't charge him with resisting, they would have to admit that they tasered some guy who was on his belly handcuffed. If it was just some guy who got tasered without witnesses, they would be able to let him off as long as he doesn't force their hand by complaining about being tasered. Anyone who gets tasered without witnesses would be given that option. Shut up about it or we'll say you resisted.
He was arrested and charged with a felony?
How in this country can we keep watching videos of people speaking up and getting stopped by the police can all those people just watch? America's revolution is not a spectator sport. We need to realize what has happened over the years so now speaking up at an open mic is resisting cops and is a felony? I hope our efforts can stop these tactics of the authoritarian power structure to silence rabble rouser's and all American's right to descent and protest and ask politicians hard questions..
"In short, you see, the essential is to cease being free and to obey, in repentance, a greater rogue than oneself. When we are all guilty, that will be democracy. Death is solitary, whereas slavery is collective." Camus, the Fall
my alma matter
I was so happy to see this story in the front page of Google news. A story about UF, GO GATORS. Unfortunately it was very bad news. More police-state action and quashing of political dissent. Funny that the news made it to my favorite site, dailypaul.com.
Now is the time
I find the most frightening thing concerning this episode to be the response of those present in Kerry’s audience. Smiles? Giggles?
As for Kerry, oh, what a champion he would have been if he had jumped off the stage and came to the young man’s defense! What a golden opportunity he lost!
Actions always speak louder than words! Fade away Kerry, fade away.
Are we, the American people going to allow the revolutionary slogan “Give me liberty or give me death” to be turned into an old-fashioned, obsolete saying or will we revive it into a modern-day battle cry? It’s up to us to decide before we are permanently silenced, shackled and branded.

what we are allowed to bring to public debate
is carefully monitored. The authorities started getting nervous and told him to ask the question already, then he asked some important questions. Questions that if answered TRUTHFULLY (no chance of that though) it would expose the puppet show/charade that was the 2004 "election". But when he mentioned Skull & Bones his mic was turned off. That's when they started to force him out of the room, eventually to taser and arrest him. So he had every right to get excited and indignant.
It would have been surprising if he had been treated fairly and allowed to continue, but what we saw there is no surprise.
Kerry lost like he was supposed to, just like Dole before him. That's the way it is and the cynics like me who would never vote for these frauds need to know about Ron Paul, a man of PRINCIPLE that can't be bought and will not "lay down" on command.
INEXCUSABLE! We are readily
INEXCUSABLE! We are readily becoming a police state, and as this video clearly shows that people are willing to sit standy by and watch. It took 15 or so police man and women standing over him and they couldnt just cuff him? They had to taze him? C'mon.
