We took a group picture in front of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign before the march started and I really want that, anybody got it? I figured there would already be alot of pics posted somewhere by now.
Anyways thanks to those in Vegas who set it up, it was great fun and always good to go and show support for Ron Paul.
I was there in Las vegas and it was a great success. Trevor was also there for the march and events and is continuing work with the blimp and helping to organize grassroots efforts and MLK money bomb day. SOme of the live free or die people were also just arriving that day to continue their efforts in nevada.
We were all very surprised by the response we got from people driving by and yelling things like go Ron Paul and lots of horn honking. I passed out quite a few slim jims along the way and converted a few likely voters over.
Almost everyone I spoke to asked me if Ron Paul was an independent? Most did not know that he was even a republican or even what he stood for.
The march itself was literally a mob of people. Its very hard to capture the moment on video because the sidewalk was just packed so full it was hard to include the whole scene into a cameras limited field of view. Lots of tourists on the strip were asking questions and were interested in the message.
Unfortunately the news coverage was virtually non-existent. From my understanding the local fox and abc affiliates were invited but neither showed up. Big surprise there.
Sorry guys, we were out partying all night, and I'm just now getting on the computer. Video was taken of the marchers from the top of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. There were hundreds of us, and lots ground cameras. Keep an eye out on You Tube for some awesome footage.
The entertainment at night went really well. Farrington Productions put on an awesome show for us. They are trully amazing. We could have had a lot more people, but it is what it is. I'm disappointed in the campaign. The venue could fit 2,000 people, and had Dr. Paul come he could have introduced himself to all the undecided Republicans he wanted. The campaign didn't even show up to set up their canvassing booth. Now they are calling around the local meet up looking for a bullhorn, so Dr. Paul can do a speech in a parking lot. ;)
MCS: I'm not sure what you mean by having a canvassing booth, but the campaign did have plenty of material ready at the Las Vegas headquarters for the precinct walking training.
I thought more people were going to be at the precinct training since it was advertised on the paul-a-palooza site. Unfortunately, Sunday morning, my brother and I were the only ones to show up--and we didn't have much time to actually walk precincts since we had to drive home later that day.

There were 40 precinct canvassers out on Sat and 20 out on Sun. You posted to your meetup that you wanted to watch the video of Palooza that day and you just admitted above that you were out drinking all night.

I don't know excatly how many were there,cuz we kind of spread out at the beginning..it was great...huge banners,signs,and chants of all kinds! My brother and I answered plenty of questions and handed out literature. Literally everyone we had past either was talking about Ron Paul or about government in general...it was a complete success!

I highly recommend that you either purchase tickets online, or you purchase them in person early Saturday morning at the Texas Station Rewards Center. If you try to buy them at the door, you will be standing in a very long line with all the people that just found out about us from the march.

The fact of the matter is that Nevada is very much in play - there is a VERY REAL possibility that we can WIN in Nevada and send multiple Ron Paul delegates to the RNC. We have a great organization here, the caucus rules in Nevada are now in our favor, all we need are feet on the street to help us spread the word.
This local Las Vegas reporter has mention Ron Paul and grassroots supporters numerous times. Please post a comment on this article and shower him with the Ron Paul love that other reporters have received.
Now I *really* want to go. Next thing you'll be telling me is that Penn & Teller will definitely appear & endorse Dr. Paul. Then my "go to Panama & Costa Rica" budget is sunk, because I'll HAVE to do this. :( Argh!!!

He's a big boy though and would probably come right out and say "Im for Dr Paul not for the 9/11 truth movement" and he needs to be allowed to do so- he could be the poster child for banding together for one common denominator- the Constitution and the right to disagree with fellow supporters.
